Swimming Holes Royal NP! Waterfall to Uloola Falls, Karloo & Olympic Pools

This walk takes us from Waterfall to Uloola falls, Karloo pool and then to Olympic pool. **We will start at Waterfall Train Station (exit train station and turn left until you get to the drop-off area) at 9.15am. **From here we will follow the Uloola Fire Trail for about 5kms to Uloola Falls, where we stop for a snack and I will show you a secret swimming hole with little waterfalls. We will then follow the Karloo Track for 3 kms to Karloo Pools ,where we will have lunch.Then we will follow Kangaroo Creek to Olympic pool. We will head to Heathcote Train Station via the Bottle Forest track. We will arrive at Heathcote train station by 3.30 pm. **DISTANCE: About 14 km.** GRADE: Medium, there are a few hills to climb. This is not negotiable. 🌸🐌🌸 As this is a walking group, bikes, ebikes, scooters, escooters, and pogo sticks are not compatible or welcome. 🌸👣🌸 Grading for my walks:
Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms.
Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms.
Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Pls don’t separate from the group, unless you let someone know, preferably me. The waitlist is completely discretionary….reliable regulars will ALWAYS be included. 🆗……….If you are a no show, you will not be welcome to join a future walk with me. (It’s a courtesy kind of thing). If people are on the waitlist, it is also very inconsiderate. Sydney Social Climbers is a group of social climbing enthusiasts who also enjoy a beer and a chat. We meet every Thursday 6:15PM, at Nomad Annandale climbing gym. **Schedule** 6:15PM - 6:30PM - Meet and Greet 6:30PM -8:15PM - Climbing 8:15PM-8:20PM - Regroup and leave for Pub 8:20PM Onwards - Dinner & Drinks at The Annandale Hotel **What is Bouldering?** Bouldering is rock climbing without ropes or harnesses. The challenge is to climb short but tricky routes using balance, technique, and strength. It's a high-intensity exercise that strengthens many of the major muscles of the body, and in particular your core, back, shoulders, arms, hands, and grip. It can also help improve your sport climbing technique. Bouldering routes are set for beginners and up to advanced climbers at the gym. Refer photo/map number 2. ⛴️ END POINT: Manly Wharf. 🥾 DISTANCE: 12km - point to point. 🥾 GRADE: Easy/mostly Moderate on a relaxing pace, not snail pace! 💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, gentle ups and downs hills, stair climbs, short creek crossings and walking on sandy beaches. 💪🏽 Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery at few sections. 🏃‍♂️ NOTE: few get-out points along the way. 📸 WHAT TO EXPECT: 🚶🏼‍♀️Explore one of Sydney Harbour’s most beautiful walking tracks - The Spit Bridge to Manly Coastal Walk, otherwise known as the Manly Scenic Walkway. 🚶The Spit Bridge to Manly Walk is a beautiful 12 km coastal walk, boasting quiet inner harbour beaches, native bushland, rock engravings, picturesque bays and panoramic ocean views. 🥾 This walk is suitable for all ages and fitness level starting from Spit Bridge along Clontarf Reserve, Castle Rock Beach, Grotto Point Lighthouse and Dobroyd Head with loads of photo sessions and selfies. 🤳 🥪 We’ll have BYO lunch at Reef Beach with awesome views of the coast. 🚶After lunch, we’ll continue our adventure to Manly Wharf passing through Reef Bay, Forty Baskets Beach along North Harbour Reserve, Fairlight Beach and Delwood Beach. ⛴️ Lots of options for shops, drinks or bite to eat or gelato at Manly Wharf before leaving home by bus or ferry. ⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⚠️ 📝 DISCLAIMER: Attending this event is voluntarily at your own risk.
