It’s essential a circular route as we will catch the fast train (20mins) back to Croydon. Expect very scenic riding with rolling hills, a few short climbs and great cycleways and bridleways. Within 20mins train from London, it’s a great opportunity to get out on the bike away from the city. **Highlights:** • The natural beauty of Sustrans route 21 • Surrey Hills AONB • Ridgetop views over the famous North Downs • Mercer Country Park with its lovely lake set anougst green forests • Lovely scenery overlooking Woldingham and Farleigh Golf Courses • Cycle the Worth Way - a perfect traffic-free disused rail trail • Packed lunch provided **Starts:** East Croydon station 10am **Total Distance:** 51 km **Terrain and Elevation:** Overall the route has varied terrain and a mixture of paved and gravel surfaces with the possibility of some muddy sections. This ride is suitable for competent beginners and intermediate cyclists. Only touring, hybrid and mountain bikes will be suitable. **Surface and Waytypes:** • 54% Gravel, 46% Paved • 44% On-road, 56% trails and cycleways **Logistics:** You will need to get to East Croydon train station for 9:45am. If you are driving, there is paid parking at Ruskin Square https://ruskinsquarecarpark.co.uk and there is a direct train back to East Croydon from Three Bridges (20mins). **What to Bring:** Water bottle, money for food and refreshments, snacks, all cycling equipment (bicycle, bike lock, compulsory bike helmet, cycle jacket, sunglasses, warm gloves and suitable activity footwear/clothing - no jeans please) **What we bring for you:** Lunch provided, fully guided, all repair equipment including pump, first aid spares and good vibes! **Payment:** £20 includes lunch (£15 for the first 5 people), £6 without lunch **https://www.eurocycleadventures.com/bookandpayment/p/ukdaytrip** **Important:** Please ensure your bike is in good working order. Regular maintenance such as lubricating chain, checking tyre pressure and braking are strongly recommended. Also, whilst you can achieve extended distance on bike, please ensure you have adequate physical preparation for the ride.
