Book Club Meet Up! Come along to discuss Deesha Philyaw’s Secret Lives of Church Ladies in an intimate friendly environment. This is a space for black women from all different walks of life and a judgement free and open space to connect with others. Our meetings are free form and informal and everyone’s voice is heard. LGBTQIA/Religious/non-religious friendly, we do not tolerate discrimination. We will be discussing chapters 1 - 6. Feel free to bring drinks and snacks of your choosing. Hi all (Please note the session price is now £12) We are a small, competitive but friendly badminton club who are playing at Swiss cottage leisure centre in London on Tuesdays. We are opening up a few spots each week for advanced players only to attend our members club night session with a view hopefully to joining the club permanently. Any known members of other clubs that have no intention of joining the club who sign up will not be allowed to attend. We play on 4 courts at Swiss cottage leisure centre from 8-10pm. We play with feather shuttles and charge £12 per session. Depending on numbers, there are going to be groups of max 6 people, the groups will be Beginners (A2), Intermediate and Advance. Each group will have a Spanish native speaker who can help you with your Spanish :) We will first meet our table amig@s and socialise, then we will make a fun and interesting activity for you to have a better Spanish speaking experience. DETAILS The session is Wednesday 7.00PM till 9.55PM. All 4 courts will be available for games. Players are requested to finish the games by 9.50PM and leave the premises by 9.55PM. All levels are welcome. We pride our sessions that everyone plays with everyone to keep it a friendly and fun session. We also understand that there is a need for being competitive and we welcome that also. Payment: £13 per session. We are accepting bank transfers rather than cash payments. RSVP Rules: 2 Day Policy We shall be adhering to the 2 day rule which consists of confirming your spot by paying for the session 2 days in advance. If you do not pay before the 2 day deadline you will be moved to the Not Going session and the next person on the waiting list will have 1 day to confirm and pay for the session or they will be moved to the Not Going list and so on. Cancellation If you have to cancel on the day please note there won’t be a refund for the session so try and get someone to cover your RSVP and please message to inform us so we are aware.
