Exploring The Inner Commons - workshop, personal sustainability
Thu, Feb 26, 5:30 PMTalk & Workshop - **Exploring The Inner Commons** a deep dive into personal sustainability by Scott Bolden, Founder of Baumhaus Berlin Workshop from 18:30 - 20:00 If you really want to make the world a better place then a great place is to start with yourself because no matter where you go or what you do, you can not escape yourself... Besides, doesn't it make sense that a truly sustainable society would be composed of more balanced individuals? **The Inner Commons is an intuitively understandable, flexible and contextual framework** developed by Scott Bolden that can be used to catalyze a process of self understanding and resolving common issues we all deal with. The concepts discussed in this workshop are based on simple, root level, universal experiences of the human condition and a bit of common sense. Because of this, insights that participants gain about themselves can also provide insights to understanding and resolving issues with others as well. Requirements: comfortable clothing, a notebook and an open mind... Please confirm participation with a short email to info@baumhausberlin.de with the subject: Inner Commons Donate-as-you-feel after the workshop (includes coffee, tea, water & snacks) We ask participants to consider: • their personal budget • the value of their experiences during the workshop in the Baumhaus • the value of supporting the Baumhaus so that we can continue facilitating these and various other types of experiences \-\-\-\-\- support Baumhaus crowdfunding campaign ( https://www.goodcrowd.org/saving-das-baumhaus ) Baumhaus Berlin Gerichtstr. 23 VH Eg 13347 Berlin

Ash Wednesday Worship Service - The Beginning of Lent
Wed, Feb 18, 6:00 PMAsh Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the season of reflection and renewal that leads toward Easter. This ancient service invites us to pause, to take an honest look at our lives, and to remember both our fragility and our hope. In the Christian tradition, Ash Wednesday is a day of repentance and grace. We receive ashes on our foreheads as a sign of our humanity — “remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return” — and as a sign of God’s mercy that meets us precisely where we are. It is a reminder that life is finite, precious, and worthy of deep care. In human terms, this service speaks to something universal: our longing for meaning, our need for honesty, our awareness that life is brief, and our hope that renewal is possible. It creates space to reflect, to let go of what weighs us down, and to begin again. The service includes Holy Communion, where we gather at Christ’s table to receive forgiveness, strength, and hope for the journey ahead. Whether you come with strong faith, quiet questions, or simply a desire for a meaningful moment of stillness in a busy world — you are welcome here. And when we say *all*, we mean **all**.
