No Web Meetup this month, but a good alternative; lots of upcoming events

Dear Members,

No April meetup, but a good alternative

There's no Madison Web Design & Development Meetup this month, but our friends at Mad Railers and MadJS are hosting a two-presenter meetup at the downtown library with free subs, pizza, veggies, hummus and more.

First up will be Brian Cobb (@bcobb) talking about building APIs with Rails:

"Let's discuss the characteristics of powerful and pleasant HTTP APIs, and see how we can build those sorts of APIs in Rails. To motivate this discussion, we'll look at an existing Rails API, and gradually make it better with a helping hand from the Ruby ecosystem. There are a lot of smart people writing and thinking about this sort of thing, so we'll close with a few language/platform-agnostic thoughts on where one can go from here."

Next up, Steve Faulkner (@southpolesteve) will be talking about building Javascript front-ends that consume Rails APIs.
