PVD Fest Block Parties!!

Details
Hey everyone! Sorry this getting posted a little later than usual. PVD Fest is back this weekend! Let's check out some of the block parties the city has to offer!
If you've been a member with us for awhile, you know we typically start a little earlier than our normal weekend events to try to stroll the festival to check out some of the vendors and performances. However, we've decided to keep things simple this year. It can be difficult to navigate such a large festival in a group, we've decided to focus on the post festival nightlife. We know from previous years, it's the block parties that members enjoy the most. However, we highly recommend coming to the city before the meetup starts to check out the many vendors and arts events PVD Fest has to offer! We'll post the link to the PVD Fest website.
Let's start the night The George's block party. If you've never been it's usually a crowd favorite. There's typically a dance floor with a DJ, outdoor bars selling drinks, and it's usually large enough to find a quiet enough space away from the stage to talk more easily. Their Instagram is still a little sparce on the details as we post this, but we'll update the description if they give more details. Their block parties are usually on Matthewson Street (next door to their restaurant) or in the parking lot behind Friskie Fries. We'll post our location in the comments when we arrive for everyone to find us. For now we're setting the starting location at The George. We'll likely stay at The George's block party for while to give people plenty of time to find us.
The other stop we definitely plan to make during the night is the block at The Red Door. Their socials promise food, drinks, and DJs. Their event will be taking place both inside and outside and goes until 2am, so it sounds like it could be a pretty decent sized party. It's been awhile since we've stopped in at The Red Door, so hopefully it's worth the walk over.
Not sure if there's any other bars hosting block parties. We know Dark Lady is hosting one, but there's a cover and we're going to try to avoid covers as much as possible so we'll probably skip that one. Small chance that maybe we make it our last stop, but probably not. We're going to keep our eyes open for anything else going on. Sadly with Nicobellas out of business and Trinity Brewhouse closed for renovations, some of our other usual stops are likely not hosting anything. We'll update the description if we find anything else to add :D
Like we said we'll stick out the first stop for awhile to give people plenty of time, so don't worry if you're still searching for parking at 8pm. The last PVD Fest events go until around 9pm, and people tend to hang out downtown far after the festival formally comes to a close. Since the city cracked down on the outdoor bars a couple years back, we're sure plenty of people will flood the bars once they're done exploring the festival. Downtown is likely going to be pretty busy, so it's definitely a night you want to plan ahead. Ride shares may be more costly than usual, but may be worth it if parking is tough. If you come late enough that we moved on, we'll keep the comments updated for awhile but it may be more difficult to find us.
Hope to see you all then! Please reach out to the host(s) directly with any questions or leave a comment below.
