Friday Night Drinks @ Hot Club!!

Details

Hey everyone!! The nights are going to get chilly before we know it, so let's try to get the most out of our favorite outdoor focused bars while we can. Kicking off the weekend with some after work drinks at Hot Club sounds like as good of an excuse as any!

If you've never been to Hot Club, don't worry the name is a bit misleading. Hot Club is more like an elevated dive bar than an actual nightclub. Even if there is a DJ near the main bar or the inside is a bit crowded, don't worry you can still find a spot to escape the noise and have a quiet chat. Hot Club has a pretty large floor plan with both indoor and outdoor space, but the bar really shines with its deck along the Providence River. Don't worry, there's plenty of rain cover if the weather isn't on our side.

Hot Club sports three bars. The main bar inside is your best bet if you're craving anything in particular cocktail wise. Don't worry you can't miss it since it's the giant "U" shaped bar just through the doors from the deck. They can make a surprising amount of drinks you wouldn't expect such as negronis, but Hot Club isn't a craft cocktail spot so don't try and go too fancy. The second indoor bar near the kitchen has a solid backbar, but may be a little more limited in what they can make. It's a good spot to try when the main bar is swamped. The deck also has it's own bar which is convenient when you're already outside. They may be a little limited in what bottles they have on hand. All three have plenty of beer, cider, and seltzer options.

Hot Club also has a kitchen if you come hungry. Check out the link below to find their menu (also it may list any speciality cocktails Hot Club is offering).

Let's get together at 8pm. The host(s) will post a comment on how to find us once we arrive.

There's a good number of spots we can move to later in the night. Typically, Fish Co just down the road would be our go to second option. However, that bar can become more of a clubbing spot when the colleges are in session so we may give it a pass depending on the vibe. Wickeden Street has The Point Tavern which has some solid cocktails. Wickeden Pub is a good beer spot, but may not be for everyone. Wild Colonial is a short walk offering a more Irish bar vibe. We could also always cross the pedestrian bridge to head in to the heart of downtown if people don't mind the walk.

Please feel free to reach out to the host(s) individually if you have any questions or leave a comment below. See you all then!
