About us
HELLO AND WELCOME TO MOVIE ROADHOUSE LONDON!
We're London's biggest movie club, bringing together people who simply love watching films, movie nerds, independent filmmakers, screenwriters and creators, all sharing a passion for cinema and good company.
From Hollywood blockbusters and independent films to cult classics, international cinema and film festivals, we enjoy discovering and discussing films together. We meet regularly for cinema screenings and social gatherings, as well as occasional filmmaking and writing meetups. Members can share their thoughts and ratings on our Letterboxd page, while our BFI Riverfront socials offer an opportunity to catch up outside the cinema.
And for those with a particular love of horror and darker science fiction, there's also our companion club, The Hideout Film Club, where we explore the stranger side of cinema.
You can also have a say in upcoming screenings through our WhatsApp Community and Telegram group, which you can join after attending your first meetup. We enjoy supporting independent cinemas and regularly visit venues such as the Prince Charles Cinema and the BFI, as well as film festivals and special screenings.

👋 Hey everyone! Let’s dive into our next feature. Over a career spanning more than half a century, photographer Richard Avedon captured everyone from movie stars and presidents to coal miners and drifters—lending his singular eye to the famous and the anonymous alike.
By the time of his passing in 2004, he had become one of the 20th century's most influential image-makers, with his groundbreaking fashion and portrait photography helping define America’s image of style and beauty.
Avedon captures the extraordinary life and legacy of a visionary who used his camera to reinvent the world. Built upon unprecedented access to his personal archives, the film features never-before-seen stills, intimate behind-the-scenes footage, and new interviews with his closest collaborators. 👋 Hi guys! We’re meeting up again for another film and discussion, this time for Martin McDonagh’s new 2026 film. It’s his first film in four years, and we’ll be peeling this one like an onion.
This black comedy and action thriller, set in 1973, stars the brilliant duo of Sam Rockwell and John Malkovich as two eccentric CIA agents stationed on the remote, horse-populated Easter Island. The film is an original screenplay by McDonagh himself, inspired by his desire to set a story there while weaving in real historical events.
The Meetup: We’ll begin with a meet and greet before the movie, then afterwards we’ll get together again for a film discussion and decide whether this one gets our seal of approval with our Letterboxd scores. 👋 Hey guys! Twenty years ago, one television programme turned an ordinary suburban house into one of the most uncomfortable places imaginable. Now, Lance Oppenheim is taking us behind the cameras to revisit exactly what happened.
The film is set in 2006, taking us behind the scenes of the hugely successful To Catch a Predator, hosted by fame-hungry Chris Hansen. Hansen and his team stage hidden-camera sting operations, using online decoys to lure suspected sexual predators into a wired house. But as the show becomes a TV phenomenon, the production itself descends into moral decay.
The Meetup: We’ll meet for drinks at 4:30 pm at the Curzon Bar (lower ground area) before proceeding to the 5:40 pm showing. We will be seated in A4-A5 in Screen 2.
After the film, at around 7:50 pm, we’ll reconvene to share our thoughts and give the film our Letterboxd scores. You’ll also find the full ticket information, cinema address and map down below, to help you find your way.

👋 Hello everyone! This new Ebenezer film is a dark fantasy holiday drama directed by Ti West that offers a gothic, supernatural reimagining of Charles Dickens' classic tale A Christmas Carol.
Johnny Depp is Ebenezer Scrooge. The name you know, the story you don’t. He’s joined by a fantastic cast including Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Andrea Riseborough and Ian McKellen.
