๐ฆธ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ฌ SUPERGIRL (BFI-IMAX FILM & SOCIAL)
BFI IMAX, 1 Charlie Chaplin Walk, South Bank, Waterloo, SE1 8XR, London, GB๐ฆธ๐ปโโ๏ธ Step into our world and help us see just how far hope can fly. Because the only way any we can discover true strength is by rising, again and again, into the light even in the darkest of momentsโฆ Shine with us, Supergirl
๐ Hey everyone! Is DC worried about Marvel, or is Marvel worried about how hard DC is hitting back? One thingโs for sure: 2026 is shaping up to be the year of superhero rivalry. After the success of James Gunnโs Superman, of course DC was going to swing big again, and now Supergirl is ready to soar.
This one is directed by Craig Gillespie and marks the second film in the brand-new DC-EU. The story follows Kara Zor-El as she celebrates her 21st birthday while travelling across the galaxy, until a tragedy sends her on a relentless quest for revenge. Expect some mythology shake ups and a bold new direction for the character. Looking back, a Supergirl film in the DC-EU has been highly anticipated by fans for years, and it should be great fun experiencing it on IMAX.
On that note we'll meet-and-greet at iMax BFI Cafe-Bar at 5:00 pm where we''ll be discussing our predictions and superhero lore. The movie is at 6:15 pm where you'll find us in row M9 -M10, but you can choose, which ever seats you like.
After the film around 8:25 pm we will reconvene back at the cafe bar foyer area, where we'll begin our social, commentary and Letterboxd Review.
Letโs make the battle of the superheroes one to remember. And if youโre feeling a little fancy-pants, feel free to bring your own goofy superhero T-shirts.
Looking forward to seeing you there!

๐ Hi guys! Join me for this Mel Brooks hilarious western saga that will offend absolutely everyone. Equally.

๐ฅ๐ฌ A BETTER TOMORROW (40TH ANNIVERSARY)
Prince Charles Cinema, 7 Leicester Place, WC2H 7BY, London, GB๐ต It is not about money. It is about a matter of principle!
๐ Hello guys! If you're a fan of director John Woo or classic Hong Kong action cinema, then you may be interested in joining me for the 40th Anniversary screening of this landmark film, which helped revolutionise action filmmaking around the world.
The film is an emotional tale of brotherhood, loyalty, and redemption set within Hong Kong's Triad underworld. As a former counterfeiter attempts to rebuild his life and reconnect with his police officer brother, he finds himself drawn back into a world of betrayal and revenge.
The film is widely credited with launching the heroic bloodshed subgenre that would define much of John Woo's career.
The Meetup: Since this is an earlier afternoon screening, we'll meet directly at the Prince Charles Cinema Bar at 5:45 pm. The film is at 6:00 pm and I've selected Seat A4 if you'd like to sit on the same row.
After the film, we'll gather outside the screen for our usual Letterboxd review before heading next door to the Victory House Bar for a post-film discussion. You're also welcome to join us there if you missed the first half. Full schedule details, ticket information, and directions can be found below so you won't miss a thing.
Look forward to seeing you there
