About us
👋 HELLO AND WELCOME TO MOVIE ROADHOUSE LONDON!
London’s biggest film club — built by movie fans, for movie fans. We’re a buzzing community of movie lovers, indie filmmakers, comic geeks, and creators who live and breathe cinema. From cult classics to hidden gems, big-screen blockbusters to indie passion projects — we just love getting lost in movies.
We meet regularly for screenings, grab drinks after, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll often find us at our BFI Riverfront Socials — always a vibe. We stay on top of film news, and our members help vote on what we watch next via WhatsApp or Telegram (unlocked after your first meetup).
We aim to support independent cinema—whether at the Prince Charles Cinema, vibrant film festivals, or the BFI. That means we often enjoy special perks, early screenings, and exciting festival trips. From film quizzes to chill pub nights, there’s always something happening.
Come hang with a bunch of awesome film fans, and pull up a seat at the Roadhouse — we’d love to have you with us. 🎬

🎙️🎬 MICHAEL (IMAX FILM & SOCIAL)
CINEWORLD LEICESTER SQUARE IMAX, The Empire, 5-6 Leicester Square, WC2H 7NA, London, GB👑 In a world filled with hate, the King of Pop still dared to hope, to inspire, and to make a difference 🕺🏾
👋 Hello everyone! Let’s hear it for the King of Pop in this upcoming musical biographical drama directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan.
The film will follow the life of Michael Jackson, with his nephew Jaafar Jackson taking on the lead role. Early footage has already drawn attention thanks to his striking resemblance and his natural ability to capture Michael’s iconic stage presence and dance moves.
The story is expected to offer a broad and balanced look at Jackson’s life, following his journey from the Jackson 5 to becoming one of the most famous entertainers in the world, while also touching on the more difficult and complex parts of his story.
The Plan: We will meet at the Cineworld Empire Bar & Confectionary (far end side). There will be quite a few of us, so I apologise in advance if there is limited seating. We’ll probably start with some predictions before the presentation and inside the screen you can look for us in row E.
After the film, we’ll regroup again for the commentary and Letterboxd Review. Ultimately, the music is a huge part of building excitement for what’s ahead!
We can’t wait to see you there!"

♔🎬 LONDON
The Nickel Cinema, 117-119 Clerkenwell Road, London, GB♔ In London (1994), an unseen narrator, voiced by Paul Scofield, returns to the British capital after several years abroad to accompany his reclusive friend Robinson on a series of reflective urban explorations.
Hey Guys! Let's meet for an exciting series of three walks around diverse areas of the city, their observations mix personal insight with encounters and images drawn from real life, capturing the city’s architecture, public spaces, and cultural landmarks. The narrative bridges memory, literature, and everyday experience as it recounts events and social change in London over the course of a year.
More than a straightforward travelogue, London unfolds as a cinematic essay on the character and transformation of the city itself, using archival imagery and evocative narration to weave in political and historical context. References to literary figures and philosophical ideas subtly shape the film’s impressionistic portrait, linking the lived environment with broader cultural currents and the lived realities of early 1990s London.
Runtime: 85 mins. Certificate: 18We'll meet at The Nickel Cinema, the heir apparent to the historical Scala, which is the home to the most subversive, bewildering, sensational, fearless, sublime, shocking, transgressive, death-defying, psychedelic, psychotronic, bizarre, rebellious and baffling cinematic treasures - from the silent era to the digital age.
Check out the details below—I'll see you all there!
