About us
Hello and welcome to the group!
New In Town is about connection, with each other and with this beautiful state we live in. Based in Sacramento, we seek to explore local eateries, events, and activities, while occasionally venturing out to the Bay Area, San Francisco, and other wonderful parts of California. Whether you are new to the area or a lifelong local, you are welcome here!
Social & Adventure Club is a callout to Sac. The name also reflects how our events are structured; we typically start with a casual meet-up (coffee or drinks) for introductions, followed by an activity or outing. You are welcome to join either portion, but if you skip the social meet-and-greet, you are responsible for any details you may miss concerning the adventure.
The banner, a motorcycle and blue Thai tea, represent the pairing of two distinct but complementary experiences.
We ask three things of our members:
Face & Name. Have an identifiable photo of yourself and your preferred name or nickname. This aids connection and keeps us accountable to one another. Be Respectful. Simply put, be decent, that’s all. Lastly, RSVP no-shows may result in removal from the group. Organizers are not sponsored or compensated; planning and organizing group events requires time, effort, and money. We do it to build community and make friends. If you cannot make it, take a moment to uncheck the RSVP.
The Liability Part:
You, everyone else, and anyone you bring agree to hold the group organizer(s) harmless in any event. The organizer(s) of these events accept no responsibility for damages, loss, injury, etc.
Some events may involve social drinking. Members and other participants are responsible for their own safety: drink responsibly, drive responsibly, and be responsible.
Thank you for reading this far. We look forward to meeting you!

I look forward to seeing you all there and doing something fun and foolish this time around. Some cash is recommended for the bars; it can be tough to open a tab on a time limit. Plus, bring cash for our tour guide; if they make your day, let them know!
We're joining the MeetUp group "Brew - Café & Craft Brews" for this event: there are only 15 seats on a bike, and they are open to the public. Once tickets are sold out, an RSVP won't help much!
If you're looking for the organizer—he’s an obnoxiously friendly blond bloke… probably with glasses. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
