AbilityHacks: Design and Laser Cut Acrylic Keyguards

Details

On behalf of AbilityHacks, we are excited to invite you to our first buildathon. AbilityHacks (https://abilityhacks.org) is a community of people with disabilities and volunteers devoted to addressing specific, unmet ability (disability related) challenges. We are having a Keyguard Design and Laser Cutting event on Sunday, March 31st at 1PM - 5PM at Noisebridge!

We will be at the Hackatorium in Noisebridge designing acrylic keyguards for iPads used by individuals with audible communications impairments. The Keyguards will be distributed by the Communication Technology Education Center (https://ctecaac.org) upon completion of the event. This event is sponsored by Makers Making Change (https://makersmakingchange.com).

We will be using Inkscape, Fusion360, or some other SVG/vector program to create the designs.

We look forward to having you there! If you can’t make it please reply and let us know you are interested in becoming involved in the future.
