Meetup is our scheduling tool for all events. Once you have paid, our 3 meetup sites are free to join. Again, your yearly dues include all activities from all 3 meetup groups. (except costs for special events). You must join each meetup group separately (free) in order to RSVP for events.

Trips are open to all dues paid OCSJ members. A paid member may invite a guest one time for each type of activity with leader approval.
Participants on overnight trips must always be an OCSJ member.
We are able to accept payment made on-line at www.ocsj.org with Affinipay. You don't need an Affinipay account to use a credit card. We also accept checks. Go to our website http://www.ocsj.org for more information.

CAPE MAY TRIP
Location not specified yetCAPE MAY TRIP to the Chalfonte Hotel is a mid-week event.
The dates are Monday, June 8 through Wednesday, June 10, 2026This package includes a two-night stay, two full buffet breakfasts, two three-course dinners, and one drink ticket per guest with dinner on arrival night. A cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and two drink tickets per guest will take place prior to Tuesday’s dinner.
The only type of rooms available and costs are below:
-Single Occupancy Room with One Bed and Private European Bath: $424.01
(Note: Two people cannot stay in a single room.)-Double Occupancy Room with One Bed and Private European Bath: $617.99
-Room with Two Beds and Private Bath (for two people, $350 each): $700.01
In past years, this has been a very popular trip. To be fair to everyone, rooms are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have had more members who want to attend than there are rooms available. Therefore, you should act promptly. Last year all the rooms were taken in the first 2 days or so.
TO ATTEND, YOU MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING:
- MEMBERSHIP: You AND your roommate must be members of the Outdoor Club of South Jersey in good standing.
- MEETUP: Click the “attend” button on the OCSJ Meetup site. A necessary step for messaging information to attendees, and so the leaders and participants can see who is going. Please take your name off the "attend" list if you are unable to get a Chalfonte reservation.
-MAKE RESERVATIONS: OCSJ members can call the hotel Monday through Friday at 609-884-8409 between 10-4 or email [info@chalfonte.com](mailto:info@chalfonte.com) to make reservations. Remember to request the Outdoor Club rates.
o The Chalfonte Hotel will call to get your information: credit card number, name and email address.
o The entire amount must be paid by you at that time with a credit card.
o Any financial arrangements between you and your roommate are your responsibility to work out among yourselves. The hotel will not accept split payments.-EMAIL THE LEADERS: Let us know that you have booked a room. Email [JRBodnar@verizon.net](mailto:JRBodnar@verizon.net) with the following information: Type of room you have booked, your name, and any roommate’s name.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
-You cannot reserve a block of rooms or a room for someone else. Each club member and roommate combined is only entitled to reserve one room total.-If you do not have a valid reservation, you are not permitted to participate in this club trip.
-Do not try to contact the hotel to make arrangements other than the above.
-You cannot have any additional people stay over in your room or at meals.
-The hotel is completely non-smoking, and no outside alcohol is permitted.
-There may be an option to extend your trip. Just ask when you make your reservation.
We realize the above instructions are long and detailed, but they are necessary in light of the questions raised by participants in prior years.
