Quietly Queer: Low-Key LGBTQ+ Socials

A meetup for LGBTQ+ folks (and allies) who want to connect without the pressure of loud bars or big crowds. Whether you're introverted, selectively social, neurodivergent, or just enjoy deeper, slower-paced hangs, we’re creating space for meaningful community.

We’re looking for folks who want to see each other more than once, because real connections happen when we show up, again and again, in low-pressure ways. We’re mostly based in Oakland but open to the greater SF Bay Area. Help us shape a queer-friendly space that values rest, play, and connection.

Our events range from:

• Bookstore strolls, cozy café chats, and board game nights
• Low-pressure mixers, art walks, going to museums, watching improv and poetry shows, and casual drink/speakeasy nights (we always ensure non-alcoholic options are available)
• Try-it-together fitness like indoor rock climbing, yoga, acrobatics, or dancing
• And more

For your information:

• The host speaks English and Spanish; multilingual and bilingual queer folks are welcome.
• You do not need to be out to attend
• We host an array of events for all budgets from free to low-cost, to ticketed venues
• We won't take group photos without your consent
• If the RSVP cap shows all 10 spots are taken, feel free to join the waitlist. I usually open up additional spots, and there's a good chance you'll be able to join us.
