This year our Dance Party Lands on Halloween! Let’s dress up and have a blast. Wear your favorite costume. Some are dressing up as Zombies!!!!

🅿️ PARKING LOT🅿️

• big enough for 25 cars... so people should try to CARPOOL.
• ADMISSION into the park is approx $12 per car per day...
• If parking lot is full, there's TONS of parking in the lot, 1/4 mile from the campsite... (you can drop off your stuff in the closer parking lot, then park in the designated lot)
• FRONT GATE CLOSES FOR "INCOMING" VEHICLES AT 10PM

FRIDAY, OCT 30, 2026

• SETUP: we can start setting up tent as early as 2PM... or come after work and set up any time... - OR come on by Saturday; your choice!!
• DINNER: around 6:30 PM; Bring your own food and drink.
• EVENING: around 8 PM - OPTIONAL NIGHT HIKE AFTER DINNER
• CAMPFIRE: around 9 PM - Trivia and Games
• QUIET TIME: 10:00 PM

SATURDAY, OCT 31, 2026 - HALLOWEEN

• BREAKFAST: On own 8:00 am
• HIKE: 11:30 am - 4:00 PM (pack your own lunch)
• POTLUCK DINNER: Ready to eat round 6:30 pm
• DANCE PARTY: around 8:00 PM (like last year, we'll have the "Fiesta-Pod", restored by Ken; playing 80's/90's-to-Current dance music)
• QUIET TIME: 10:00 PM

SUNDAY, NOV 1, 2026

• BREAKFAST: On own 8:00 am
• If anyone wants to volunteer to cook, let me know
• RELAX & STRIKE CAMPSITE: ANY TIME
• CHECK OUT: Out by 12:00 pm - we have to be out by NOON on Sunday

DOGS

• Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6' and in a tent or enclosed vehicle at night. Except for service animals, pets are not allowed in park buildings, on trails, or on most beaches.
• We love Fido, but sadly, no Dogs allowed on Hiking Trails in State Parks. (See link for details and guidelines).
• Service animals* are allowed in areas open to the public; however, misrepresenting a dog as a service animal is considered a misdemeanor.
• Previously, someone brought their dog and claimed service animal to the Rangers, and they got a ticket and were asked to leave the park.
• Proof of appropriate immunizations and valid licenses may be required for any animal brought onto state park property. All 58 California counties require dog licenses; contact your local jurisdiction for further details on obtaining a dog license. (CA Public Resources Code 5008.1 & CA Health & Safety Code 121690)
• Our preference is no overnight barking or annoying dog fights. We prefer quiet and dogs that will be in harmony with the group and nature.

MISC

• (there's a water pump near the campsite, if anyone's got a small inflatable pool, that might be cool!!)
• (people arriving late can stay around the campsite and do "whatever ya want")
• it's around 120 yards from the parking lot to the campsite - if you got a wagon, BRING IT!
• there's 6 flush restrooms, 6 sinks, 4 showers and 10 picnic tables
• Showers: are FREE at the group site!!! yay!!!
• CAMP FIRES DEPEND ON WEATHER CONDITIONS, but personal propane / Jet-boils are OK
• We got the music covered with John's Fiesta Pod, lovingly restored by Ken.

WHAT TO BRING

• Conditions may be too dry for ANY kind of fire... bring portable burners / Jet-Boils if you need them to prepare food.
• Coffee Mug
• plate & utensils
• bring food for POTLUCK dinner
• bring a TENT
• bring a CHAIR / hammock
• bring LIGHTS / GLOWSTICKS if you got 'em!!
• "corn-hole game" / beach balls / and that sort of thing might be fun, as well
