Piglet & Co.: Table for 8 (Oink!)

Details
Named by SF Eater as one of the best new restaurants in America in 2023, Piglet & Co. serves modern Asian comfort food, with a focus on Taiwanese-American fusion cuisine. Their menu is inspired by childhood memories, family meals, and dishes from night markets in Taiwan. They are known for their creative and unique dishes, including honey walnut shrimp toast, Mala BBQ pork ribs, and glazed fried chicken wings. Reviewers have praised their "delicious, unique" dishes and "friendly, outgoing" staff.
The SF Foodies enjoyed a meetup at Piglet & Co.’s sister restaurant, Prubechu, back in May. I also attended a demonstration by the Piglet & Co. chef, Chris Yang, sponsored by Foodwise at the Saturday Farmers Market at the Ferry Building, where he made one of his signature dishes, Lu Rou Fan (Five-Spice Braised Pork Belly over Rice with Ginger Scallion Pea Shoots), pictured above. It was delicious.
The restaurant does not post menus on its website, as they change often, but you can sneak a peek at previous menus on Google Maps. Because they don’t publish a menu, I cannot guarantee that they will accommodate all dietary restrictions. Their website specifically states that they decline requests for modifications, and that you must be able to consume soy sauce since it is used widely in the menu. If you have concerns, you can email dining@pigletandco.com
I will be confirming attendance in the app the day before the event, and if I don’t hear from you, I will give your place to someone on the waitlist.
Costs
Appetizers are about $10-25 and entrees are about $30-50. Alcohol and dessert will increase your tab.
Each diner is responsible for their own orders and costs, and we will have to consolidate and divvy up the final bill accordingly. Each diner’s orders will be calculated separately, unless we agree to share some food family style. Please be prepared to split the check and pay via cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay.
Taxes and Fees
Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (8.625%). The restaurant charges an employee health mandate and likely a mandatory gratuity for a large party (~25% for both).
