Capo’s by Tony Gemignani: Pizza for 8

Details
Are you sticking around the Bay Area for Labor Day weekend? Come enjoy a pizza fest with me!
Tony Gemignani is a San Francisco pizza legend. His flagship restaurant, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, has been an SF Foodies favorite. It often has long waits and only takes reservations in limited circumstances.
So let’s head down the street to Gemignani’s other restaurant, Capo’s! Capo’s celebrates classic Chicago and Detroit pizza, with an emphasis on authentic and quality ingredients. They have four specialty styles: Chicago cracker-thin Tavern style, Chicago pan style, cast iron pan, and Detroit style. With a group of eight, can we try them all?
Capo’s features several award-winning pizza flavor combinations, including the Dillinger and the Motörhead. They also serve pasta, salad, and sandwiches. We can enjoy some appetizers while the thick crust styles are cooking (40 minutes).
Menus can be found here: https://sfcapos.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Capos_Full_Menu_071125.pdf
If there is interest, we can visit a North Beach bar or dessert spot after dinner.
Costs
Each diner is responsible for their own orders and costs, and we will have to consolidate and divvy up the final bill accordingly. Each diner’s orders will be calculated separately; however pizza and shared appetizers and desserts will be divided up amongst those who eat them. No separate checks. Please be prepared to split the check and pay via cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay.
Taxes and Fees
Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (8.625%). The restaurant charges an employee health mandate and likely a mandatory gratuity for a large party.
