The group was ZOOM bombed recently. You'll have to join the group through a ZOOM account, so remember to sign in to ZOOM before entering the writing group.
You'll be in a waiting room so I can screen out the terrorists. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
Time-zone converter:
If you're unsure of the Mountain Time USA start time, use the time zone converter:
https://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/
I'm an early riser, but for others in say Japan, Peru, Uganda, Greece, Australia, or Antarctica your day is well underway or ending.
As such, you may hop into the room anytime, Monday through Friday starting at 4:30am Pacific Time (PT) 5:30am Mountain Time (MT) (USA). We end around 7:30am MT (USA), 13:30 CET.
It may look like very few people are attending, but if you RSVP to this, the ZOOM link is the same. There are many who write with us - tell 100 of your closest friends!
If you're there early or after check-in time, post your intentions in the chatbox. If you have to leave before the end time, please check-out with your work progress. The room is always open, if you're the first one to arrive.
WHAT'S IN STORE? (Times are Mountain Time, USA)
5:30am (Mountain) - Quick introductions
5:40am (Mountain) - Timer starts: write for 90 minutes or so
7:20am (Mountain) - The End: chat, take off, or keep writing
We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with others, even if we’re all just hanging out online together.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. And don’t worry, no one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.
WHAT DO I NEED?
A computer with working camera and microphone, a good internet connection, and optionally, headphones.
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:
Technical difficulties are part and parcel of getting together online.
If you’ve never used your computer for an online meeting, take a few minutes before we meet to familiarize yourself with how to use ZOOM by reviewing the below tutorial:

If you run into technical issues, remember that this is the time you’ve carved out for yourself and your writing. Whether or not you were able to join our online meet-up, go ahead and get your writing started, then leave a comment below to let us know how it went for you.
