Welcome! I'm so glad you found us... Welcome to our community. Our group is alive and well and growing by leaps and bounds. We host both online and live events, mostly but not exclusively in the Orange County area.
As of 2022, I am leading transformational groups to Greece in September and once in Costa Rica in June. Please check out my travel website at lesbiangetaways.com for trip info. I would love it if you joined the mailing list. This separates out our special announcements from all the other meetup emails which can be overwhelming at times. The occasional emails will come from Lesbian Getaways.
I have been so touched by the intimacy and connections that are being created ongoingly through our group interactions. Lots of close friendships and circles have been made and yes, even some romance! I try to mix it up and keep it interesting and I’m always open to new ideas and feedback. My commitment to every member is that there are no "outsiders" and all folks that identify as a woman loving women are welcome. I believe that the experience of feeling welcome and included is palpable in our group events whether live or on Zoom.

### ARE YOU HOT TO TROT?
Lace up those dance shoes and get yourself out to our summer dance! This night is all about dancing, laughing, connecting, and radiating good vibes with an amazing crew of women—mostly (but not exclusively) fabulous 40+ ladies who know how to bring the fun.
We’re back at our favorite upstairs spot at On the Rocks—our own private banquet room with a big dance floor, lots of seating and a private bar to keep your fuel flowing. Perfectly located between Long Beach and the OC, and a breeze to get to from the freeway!

Are you single or just flying solo? No worries! We've got you. Don't waste any time. Get ready to kick up your boots for a side-splitting, toe-tapping, interactive mixer that'll have you giggling and mingling in no time. Be in the room and ready to ride—this one's too fun to miss! Once you're warmed up, you're already on the dance floor... and once you're on it, why leave? The night is yours.
DJ Christine is here to spin so let's give her a warm welcome for her first time with us!

6:00 PM – Dinner downstairs for early birds (RSVP under that event)
7:30 PM – Dancing mixer kicks off (don’t miss it!)

Come join our community crew! I know some of you love to help and others feel more comfortable with a job. If that is you, please arrive at 5:30 PM to help with setup. Then, at 6pm we'll have dinner together downstairs. At 7:15, we'll go back upstairs and you can meet lots of women by helping at the entrance to greet guests and give nametags. Hey Y'all!
Where are our dance lovers?? 2-step dancing is so much fun whether you like country music or not (I don't myself). It is a dance of gliding along the dancefloor with lots of fun and engaging moves. Whether you love to lead or follow, this class is for you if you enjoy the interaction and connection of partner dancing and love to learn.There will be opportunities to showcase our moves at our own group dance nights and other community events.
We will most likely go to dinner afterwards so if you are hungry and have time, please continue on with us.

COST: $120 for the series. The atomic ballroom has offered us a special deal. If you have to miss a class, you can use the credit for a dance class with them anytime so you won't just lose the class.
If you are called to this but are not able to spend the money for something fun right now, please text me at (707) 484-2066. If you have a few extra bucks and would like to sponsor someone to come to the class that wouldn't be able to otherwise, please also message me. Let's see if we can raise a few bucks to gift the class to someone that can use a lift in spirits that wouldn't be able to come otherwise.
We need at least 10 participants in order to move forward and have two weeks to hold the space. Please don't wait to register or we will miss our deadline!
By the way, please wear some form of dancing shoes that don't have black on the sole. Cowboy/girl boots are welcome!

Join us for a fun, conversational Zoom Art salon on 7/15 learning about Liz Collins, a queer feminist artist known for her artwork involving textiles & fabric, her activism around labor and gender politics, and her exploration of the boundaries between art and design.
Collins was recently showcased at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.There is a $10 fee to participate in this Zoom.

Come and discover the mysteries of Egypt with us! Imagine an all women group, floating down the Nile and traipsing through this ancient land with me, and my new friend, Kathia who has been leading groups to Egypt for 9 years and who is also an amazing holistic doctor, priestess and sound healer. We will also be accompanied by an Egyptologist (did you know there was such a thing?).
I know. It is a bit hard to visualize. Together, we will lead you on an amazing journey to this ancient, enchanted and mystical land. We will not just learn about all the stuff you usually learn on international tours, but we will EXPERIENCE the MAGIC of Egypt. That's very different. Imagine, trekking in to a pyramid and participating in an actual experience....to feel the energy. The pyramids are one thing to see and another to feel...Which one will impact you most?? That is my question. The answer is to be discovered.
This is an experiential journey. Come and join us for this introductory zoom meeting to meet Kathia and learn about what we intend for this once in a lifetime experience. Yes, we will learn about Egyptian culture and history... just like everyone else does who tours Egypt. HOWEVER, there will be more.
Ask your questions. Discover some answers. Indulge your curiousity (I made that up-not chatGPT by the way!). Decide whether this journey is right for you. You are welcome to join if you are simply curious. No obligation at all. Join us for a fun and informative evening.
My main motivation for this adventure is to travel with Kathia, who is amazing, and engage with the mysteries of Egypt.
