A COMMUNITY FOR ARTISTIC AND CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY.
Welcome to The Art of Photography International! Our purpose is to spark creativity, open new doors, incite discussion and learn from each other in a positive and sharing environment. The program is designed to facilitate the merging of the principles of art and graphic design with excellent camera craft. To take each one of us no matter what level of experience to places, levels and worlds that are out of our comfort zone. Our critique programs, our photo shoots and our educational sessions are free. Your submissions for discussion are for you to choose without regard to theme or genre. However, because we are a public group, we ask that you refrain from submitting photos of nudes or with sexual content. We recommend uploading photos at 72 dpi, with the longer side 2048 pixels.
To cultivate artistic discernment and good sportsmanship and encourage focused creativity, we hold a monthly themed, contest judged by founder Jack Wild. He selects one winner and several honorable mentions. Every event photo shoot has a challenge with one winner.
The Art Of Photography began as a Museum Art School program in 2002 and has expanded to over 17,000 members worldwide, so many of whom have grown into exceptional photographers that are hugely represented in international award shows. We are truly excited for your participation and look forward to your development as creative and artistic photographers.

Instructions:
✅ Upload only ONE photo to the Session album AFTER you see the “Welcome …” photo slide (AFTER 5 pm on Sunday and BEFORE the day of the Sat/Sun of the Session).
✅ You must be attending in order for your image to be reviewed during a session.
✅ A maximum of 30 photographs will be considered for review as time and content allow.
✅ Following the sessions the albums will be deleted after 5 pm on Sunday. If you wish to save your image and comments move your photo to the PHOTOGRAPHERS OPEN FORUM album.

Beach Pavilion at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, 0 Commercial Blvd, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL, USCome join us for this amazing Lauderdale-by-the-Sea photoshoot. Put on your creative hat, grab your gear, and take full advantage of the day's last throes of sunlight. We'll check out the bustle of the boulevard, sunset over the beach, and ambiance that attracts many to this seaside city. For those looking to capture long-exposure images, bring a tripod.
Also known as magic hour, this time of day will provide you with exceptional photographic opportunities, including dramatic light & shadows, backdropped by gorgeous skies of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, the Commercial Pier, twinkling palms, and coastal charms.

Video on Lauderdale-by-the-SeaKnown for its relaxed, small-town atmosphere, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a walkable plaza district, running from A1A westward along Commercial Boulevard, so keep gear to a minimum. Bring cameras, tripods, or cell phones. Keep yourself mobile. Don't leave gear unattended. Have fun with us!

PHOTO CHALLENGE
Once this Meetup event ends, we will create an album on the Photos page. Please post up to three(3) of your best photographs from the event before 7 PM (ET) on Thursday, Nov 13th.
Eligible photos:- Must be taken on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
- Must be posted before the deadline.
- Have fun, get creative and show off your artistic side.
This album will be reviewed. The winning image will become the permanent album cover of the event. The name of the winning photographer will appear in the album title.
