Something toxic has bubbled back into the surface, and it’s not playing by the old rules. For better or worse, we’re about to find out, but one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be weird.

Hey guys👋 It looks like we are diving into something a little more radioactive this time… but in a good way, hopefully. We’re checking out a reboot (and the fifth instalment) of The Toxic Avenger directed by Macon Blair. Let’s be honest reboots can go either way but I’m really pumped because we don’t get many of these type of movies anymore. Now, if you’re familiar with the Original 80s Version, then you know exactly the kind of weird, messy, ultra-violent, B-movie chaos we might be in for. But true horror fans will have no problem with this as it’s the kind of thing that sticks with you whether you love it or just sit there thinking, What did I just watch?’

This might be brilliant, awful, or land somewhere in that sweet spot where it's so bad it's good. Either way, we’re watching it together, so grab some popcorn and some of that green stuff. Anyway, here is the schedule breakdown for this evening:

4:00 PM: We meet for drinks at Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar next to the Cinema. You will find me with a meetup sign.
5:00 PM: We move to Screen 2 at Prince Charles Cinema. We have chosen seat A5 and A6. But free to choose what you like better.
7:00 PM We briefly reconvene to to score the film and to discuss. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
