What's up horror fans 👋 I’ve been wondering when this Tobe Hooper sequel would return to the big screen and it’s finally made it to the Prince Charles Cinema. Even better, members can catch it for just £1. This followup was made over a decade later after the original film, but it doesn’t play it safe. Instead of matching the gritty realism of the 1974 classic, Hooper cranked up the gore and veered into pitch-black comedy. The result? A chaotic, satirical take on the Sawyer clan that shocked many fans and split opinions at the time. But like many so-called "black sheep" sequels, time has a way of reshaping its legacy. What once felt jarring is now celebrated as cult cinema which is bold, bizarre, and unforgettable.

8:45 PM: We move to Screen 2 at Prince Charles Cinema. We have chosen seat A3 and A4. But free to choose what you like better.
10:40 PM We briefly reconvene to review and score of the film, and the results will be posted on Letterboxd.
