Based in Innsbruck, Austria, Tiroler Explorer is a group for those who love meeting new people, exploring new places, and creating unforgettable experiences in the breathtaking landscapes of Tyrol.
⛰️ Our primary focus is on organizing hiking trips around Innsbruck, with occasional excursions to more remote areas within the region.
🚞 As we value environmental sustainability, all our meetups will be accessible by public transport—no car required.

🏔️From Mittenwald to Kranzberg: Lakes, Peaks & Spring Scenery 🪻
Mittenwald, Bahnhofstraße, DEHello everyone!
This Saturday, join us for a scenic spring loop hike above Mittenwald, combining steep climbs, panoramic views and alpine lakes.
We start by following the Kranzberg chairlift route 🚡 up the mountain.
After an early lunch at Korbinianhütte 🍽️, we take on a second climb up to Kranzberg ⛰️, the highest point of the hike.
The descent then leads us past the lakes Ferchensee and Lautersee, before finishing through the Lainbach Gorge back to Mittenwald.***
### 🥾 Difficulty & Conditions (Read Carefully!)
This is a Medium / Hard hike! ⚠️ No beginners or untrained participants!
- ~17 km distance
- ~850–900 m elevation gain in total
- ~7 hours total (including breaks)
- Two steep ascents (one right at the start, one after lunch)
- Steady pace required to reach the restaurant on time
👉 You should be comfortable with sustained uphill hiking and keeping a steady group pace.

### 🕗 Schedule / Itinerary
08:20 - Meet at Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof
08:38 - Train (S6 towards Munich) to Mittenwald
09:35 - Start of the hike from Mittenwald
Route highlights:- Steep ascent straight from the start
- Early lunch at Korbinianhütte (~11:00)
- Second climb up to Kranzberg
- Descent to Ferchensee and Lautersee
- Finish via Lainbach Gorge
~16:00 - 17:00 – Return to Mittenwald
After the hike: return to Innsbruck by train (reach out to us for more info/details)***
### 🍽️ Lunch Stop
We’ll stop early at Korbinianhütte:
- Traditional Bavarian mountain hut
- Panoramic terrace with views over Karwendel & Wetterstein
- Solid food options for a proper refuel
Dogs are welcome 🐶, and cash might be needed 💵
