We will draw together at the National Portrait Gallery next. We will meet in the Kogod Courtyard space which is wonderful and has great light. The museum is full of amazing things to get your creativity going. We will all reconvene at 3:30 to share our drawings if people feel comfortable with that. See you there.

Vintage handkerchiefs have wonderful graphics, perfect to create a crazy Quilt. Working with vintage linens requires some special tricks Judy will cover in class. After we have sewn our blocks into a small quilt, we will use our machine’s decorative stitches using size 12 threads to sew patterns on our quilts. We will end class discussing adding buttons and beads for further embellishing as well as how to finish the quilt to hang.
