Offener Deutschunterricht - Text & Konversation - Niveau B2+ (Fortgeschritten)

\*\*\* Keine Anmeldung erforderlich.

Village Buchklub - R-O-N=O | Ivy Valerie Nuss | diaphanes 2025
**Village Buchklub \- R\-O\-N=O \| Ivy Valerie Nuss \| diaphanes 2025**
hosted by ***Nils Philipp***
🔵
**“R-O-N=O,”** subtitled “Dissociation,” is the second novel published in 2025 by Berlin-based author Ivy Valerie Nuss, who claims on her website to be a real person. The synopsis of this work reads like the quintessence of queer occultism: transsexuals sniff poppers, furries ketamine, and hormones float freely around like UFOs.
That this is a novel, as the book cover suggests, is open to doubt. Intriguing!
What can we discern in the lucid moments of this literary trip? And what images does it make us hallucinate?
Is enlightenment possible when you’re high? Let’s find out at a joint book discussion in March.
**About the Village Book Club**
• Book lovers and bookworms have been meeting on a bimonthly basis to discuss works of fiction and non-fiction (novels, biographies, and essays) focused on or related to LGBTQIA+ themes and personalities.
• Anticipating insightful discussions, we choose the next book two months in advance.
• While the evening discussions are conducted in German, participants are welcome to read the selected books in their preferred language.

Asian Languages & Culture Exchange 🍜
This is a 3 phase meetup. You can come at any time.
1.) 6:45 -7:00 p.m.: Gathering at the meeting spot (see gmaps link!)
2.) 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court.
3.) 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.: Immerse conversations in the Kerb food court.
🪑: Reserved tables for the meetup.
**1.) How to the find Quartier 205 Stadtmitte:**
[https://goo.gl/maps/6Fhft3LbPhcEsQrdA](https://goo.gl/maps/6Fhft3LbPhcEsQrdA)
The exact meeting spot can be seen in the photo below!
We meet on the 1st floor where the trash sculpture can be seen. Look for a meetup sign or organizer wearing a black or red lanyard with "staff" written on it.
**2.) Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court**
The best part. This time we'll walk all the way to Checkpoint Charlie, pass the Gropius Bau and end at the former Sony Center where our final destination - the Kerb food court - is located.
**3\. How to find the Kerb food court**
[https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7)
Kerb is located at the former Sony Center. The new flagship food court of Potsdamer Platz. Most likely we will be sitting upstairs on the first floor next to the bar (take the stairs to the left).
***Best ways to get there:***
1\. U2 \(subway\):
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk around 7 min to Kerb.
2\. Bus M41 or M85
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk 5 min to Kerb.
*Who is this meetup for:*
1\. Asians who want to practice German and/or English\.
2\. German speaking individuals who are studying \(preferably\) Japanese\, Korean\, Mandarin or Cantonese\.
3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\.
*What you can expect:*
1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\.
2\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\.
*important: This event is held at the same time and meeting location like the "Networking & Language Exchange - 🍖international🍻" one. So I'm basically organizing 2 events at the same time which means that you can expect way more people than on the list.*
***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
“A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.
Playfight Queerfight for GBTQ men*

for **GBTQ men\***
**[Book a Ticket](https://wearevillage.org/shop/playfight-ritual/w10-2026/)**
**Member: 15 €**
The Playfight Ritual is a gathering that provides a safe space for queer individuals to connect physically within a supportive community. It takes the form of one-on-one encounters, where communication relies mainly on body language rather than verbal expression.
The ritual can range from a dance with minimal physical contact to cozy cuddling and playful rolling around, or even energetic fights that explore strength and agility.
Each playfight ‘belongs’ to the two individuals engaging in it and can be ended at any time by a word or by double-tapping your partner or the floor. There will be a warm-up phase and an explanation of the rules before the actual ritual starts.
**General information**
Wear comfortable clothes in which you can move freely. Long trousers are advised to avoid mattress burns on your knees. Jewellery is not recommended.
**Language**: We’ll speak English and/or German, depending on the needs of the group.
**Cost**: This event is one of two free events included each month in the membership programme.
**Become a member**: As a member, you not only support our project, but you also get access to two free events every month. More information here. More information **[here](https://wearevillage.org/en/become-a-member/)**.
Families Through Time: Past Stories, Present Lives, Future Families
### **Families Through Time: Past Stories, Present Lives, Future Families**
Families are central to human life. They shape identity, belonging, values, and everyday experience. Across history, family forms have changed in response to economic conditions, cultural traditions, social norms, and political structures. At the same time, families deeply influence individuals’ emotional worlds, relationships, and life opportunities.
This session explores how family structures have evolved over time, how they function in contemporary society, and how they may transform in the future. We will examine both structural changes and personal experiences, connecting historical developments with present realities and future possibilities.
In this session, we will focus on the following topics:
* **Historical family forms**: nuclear, extended, and multigenerational households and how they shaped daily life
* **Changing roles across generations**: shifts in parenting, gender roles, and family responsibilities
* **Social and cultural influences**: how norms, religion, and legal systems define and regulate family structures
* **Contemporary family diversity**: single-parent, blended, LGBTQ+, and chosen families
* **The future of families**: how technology, work patterns, migration, and social change may transform family life
This will be an open and reflective conversation grounded in historical understanding, social analysis, and personal perspectives. Together, we will explore how families shape our past and present—and how we can imagine supportive and inclusive family forms for the future.

Oscar International Nominee: SIRAT at the Gateway Film Center
Join us as we get together to see SIRAT, an Oscar-nominated Best International Film from Spain that follows a father, accompanied by his son, goes looking for his missing daughter in North Africa. Here’s a description, trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: A father, accompanied by his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco while searching for his daughter who vanished months ago at one of these endless, sleepless parties. As their search continues, the journey forces them to confront their own limits. The film is directed by Oliver Laxe and stars Sergi Lopez, Bruno Nunez Arjona and Richard Bellamy.
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww-IXHXvS70
BUZZ & ACCLAIM: SIRAT has already won numerous awards, including 4 at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, along with the Chicago, Montclair and Toronto International Film Festivals! It also earned a whopping 11 nominations at the 40th Goya Awards, including Best Film and Director, and was nominated for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound at this year’s Academy Awards. The film is earning a stellar 92% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes which calls it “an unforgettable exercise in tension” and “a brutal reminder that the journey can be more important than the destination.”
PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing and will confirm/announce details as the date gets closer. Once showtime is confirmed, advance purchase (via GFC website preferred) is advised! Once you have your ticket, please list your seat number in the Comments section of this event.

Italian Conversation Hour
Ciao a tutt\*!

Keeping Monday for consistency but we can discuss if there are better days/times/locations!
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association:
They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online

VEGAN MEALS: As previously mentioned, the food vendor does NOT have a vegan option at this year’s Oscar Party. However, we DO have a solution! I have reached out to several individuals who are affected. If you are a vegan, plan to attend the Oscar Party and did not receive an e-mail from me, please reach out via private message post a note below. I’ll provide details off-line.
And while there won’t be a vegan meal option this year, I think we do have a workable solution.
