Es ist gemischt, geeint durch das Interesse an Texten. Die Autorinnen und Autoren des Abends lesen aus ihren bislang unveröffentlichten Kurzgeschichten, lyrischen Texten, Erzählungen, Romanen, manchmal auch aus Theaterstücken. Die Autoren stellen nicht sich selbst, sondern ihre Texte der Kritik. Wir verstehen uns als Arbeitsbühne. Deshalb wird bei uns nach den Lesungen nicht geklatscht. Die Texte werden nach der Lesung des Autors auf handwerkliche Stärken und Schwächen „abgeklopft“. Es geht im Forum daher nicht um weltanschauliche Debatten. Im Idealfall hat der Autor/die Autorin nach einer Lesung und der Kritik verstanden, wo die Stärken und Schwächen seines Textes liegen, woran es seinem Text noch fehlt, was er ändern sollte und wo er bei seiner Überarbeitung ansetzen kann. Der Abend endet gegen 22.00. Im Anschluss können Sie mit den Autoren im Café der Schwartzschen Villa noch ins Gespräch kommen und manches aus dem Literaturbetrieb erfahren. Wir sind im Kontakt auch mit namhaften Vertretern desselben. Also – nicht gleich verschwinden! Dranbleiben. Reden Sie mit den Forumianern! ## Sie möchten selbst lesen? Wenn Sie selbst im Autorenforum lesen wollen, gibt es einige Dinge zu beachten. Wir bitten Sie sehr herzlich, sich mindestens einmal vor Ihrer ersten Lesung bei uns mit unseren Gegebenheiten vertraut zu machen. We meet and begin by checking in with each other, followed by a guided exploration moving from somatic practice to contact dance improvisation. This all culminates in opening the space for the free flow of dancing and explorations in duos, trios and as a group. Bodywork will help us to warm down at the end and integrate what we experienced. Dance is our way to create a space for exploration: what happens when queer men’s bodies meet and get in touch without any expectations and intentions? In Contact Improvisation, touch is the source of finding dance movements. It helps you to be open to the here and now, to surprises, to letting go of performing roles, meeting expectations, and following scripts. Any movement can be part of this dance, no matter how simple – we literally move any way we feel. This creates a conversation without words, simply through our moving bodies. Feeling ourselves by sensing others can create nourishing bonds of community as much as it liberates us. Der Sprachklub bietet einen Raum, um Russisch in entspannter und freundlicher Atmosphäre zu sprechen. Die Treffen ermöglichen nicht nur, vorhandene Kenntnisse zu festigen, sondern auch den Wortschatz durch lebendige Gespräche und spannende Themen zu erweitern. Hier hat jeder die Möglichkeit, neue interessante Menschen kennenzulernen, eigene Erfahrungen zu teilen, und mehr über die russische Kultur zu erfahren. In der Zeit vor Ostern – einem gemeinsamen Fest für Deutsche und Russen, das in diesem Jahr auf unterschiedliche Termine fällt – werden die Teilnehmer des Sprachklubs die Ostertraditionen in Russland, Deutschland und anderen Ländern diskutieren. Die Gäste des Abends werden über die Geschichte und die Symbole des wichtigsten christlichen Feiertags sprechen und sich mit dem Ostervokabular vertraut machen – selbst für fortgeschrittene Teilnehmer gibt es Neues zu entdecken. Während in Deutschland der Osterhase Schokoladenüberraschungen im Garten versteckt und Bäume mit bemalten Eiern geschmückt werden, sind die Traditionen in Russland ganz anders. Die Teilnehmer erwartet ein Eintauchen in die Atmosphäre der russischen Osterfeier. Sie lernen sogar den traditionellen Ostergruß, der am Ostermorgen gesprochen wird, und können damit ihre russischen Bekannten überraschen.

Der Sufi-Abend in Berlin lädt die Menschen dazu ein, mehr über den Sufi-Weg des Islam und die Arbeit des Sufi-Zentrum Rabbaniyya zu erfahren. Die Abende werden von Einzelpersonen, Bildungseinrichtungen und Gruppen von Gemeinschaften aus anderen Religionen besucht. Der traditionelle Ablauf mit Sohbet-Ansprache und Dhikr-Meditation wird mit gelegentlichen Themenabenden, Workshops, musikalischen Lesungen und Gastvorträgen bereichert und verleiht so dem Sufi-Abend in Berlin seinen besonderen Reiz. Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change.
