Park Workout and Martial Arts
We'll start off the session with a run in Gleisdreieck park that might include scaling some walls, visiting a few sites in the area to explore their opportunities for climbing and balancing, or going up or down stairs in unusual ways. After the outdoors bit, we come back to our gym where we focus on building strength, working as a group, and learning basic martial arts techniques. We are a small, accessible, mixed-gender, queer-friendly group open to anyone, without any prior knowledge or specific degree of fitness required. Our martial art is Jutaijutsu, a traditional Japanese one focused on self-defence.
Sounds interesting? We'd love for you to drop by and join us. You'll need running shoes and comfortable workout clothes, including a raincoat or the like for the park if the weather is bad. Once indoors, we train barefoot. The first three Meetups are free of charge. If you'd like to join our group beyond that, we would ask you to join our association, https://yanagi.berlin, a martial arts school based in Berlin. Membership there is 30 EUR/month and you will be able to train three times a week.

\# About us
We are Historische S-Bahn Berlin e.V., a voluntary association of more than 300 inscribed members who takes care of a collection of historic S-Bahn trains from S-Bahn Berlin - see our website [www.hisb.de.](http://www.hisb.de./) Our voluntary team of around 50 hyperactive train-maniacs has worked hard not only to preserve the trains, but to make sure that we are now able, since 2023, to run again regular rides through Berlin with carriages from 1928 and 1938. Since then we have revived the popular annual Christmas- and Easter-trains, and introduced a “Halloween-train” in 2025, plus offering regular historical tours. We also have a collection of around 30 historic coaches, which are stored in the S-Bahn depot at Erkner where we offer regular open days. We are an entirely voluntary charity (gemeinnütziger Verein) who do not receive subsidy or other subventions to maintain, rebuild and get on track again the historic S-Bahn coaches and to maintain this iconic Berlin heritage accessible for the future - so join us and support us!

**WHY GO?**
Imagine standing on the highest point in Germany, with endless peaks stretching out before you. That’s the Zugspitze, and mid-June is the time to experience it. The snow has been nearly melted and the alpine meadows are bursting with wildflowers.
Here’s the thing—this hike isn’t something just anyone can do. All the spots at the iconic **Knorr Hut** have been booked solid for months, but I’ve got us covered. I secured these places well in advance so that you can enjoy this incredible route at the best possible time!
**WHAT IS THE PLAN?**
* **Day 0 - Meet & Greet:** Relaxed day – we all meet at the hotel in the evening, having late evening dinner, preparing ourselves for next day’s adventures.
* **Day 1 (Distance – 20 km)** – Today post breakfast, we would start our journey to hut. The hike itself would go through the Reintal valley. During the hike we would pass the impressive Partnachklamm gorge, the secluded Reintal valley, the Reintalangerhütte and at the evening would approach Knorrhütte. It is possible to have a nice lunch there, at their restaurant, So, you do not need to carry on food with you. During the day we would gain around 1400 meters.
* **Day 2 (Hike distance <10 km)** – After the early breakfast at the hut, we would start our hike to summit. Although it is quite short, we would gain another 870 meters to reach the summit at around mid-day. After relaxing at the top and enjoying the pristine beauty of the majestic and mighty mountains, we will use the cable car to go down to the city. Here, our trip ends at around 3 PM, so you would have time to go to Munich and travel back home.

Kreuzberg Contemporary Art Tour: The Politics of Memory
\* PLEASE NOTE: THIS TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE ON TWO OCCASIONS, EACH VERSION ENTIRELY DIFFERENT - BUT WITHIN A SIMILAR FRAME OF THINKING
Saturday, June 20th and Saturday, June 27th, both 13:00 - 15:00
PLEASE SCROLL BELOW TO SEE DESCRIPTION OF SECOND TOUR
"The Politics of Memory" is a three-stop tour exploring how acts of collecting, archiving, and exhibiting shape what is preserved and who has the power to decide. Beginning with the historical Wunderkammer, or cabinet of curiosities, the tour examines the origins of collection and display, questioning the hierarchy between collector and collected and challenging traditional systems of classification. It then turns to contemporary approaches to documentation and preservation, exploring how galleries continue to select, organize, and legitimize what is considered worth remembering while raising questions about responsibility once exhibitions end. Finally, the tour considers the archive as a contested and subjective space, reflecting on preservation as an act that can both protect and transform its subjects, and revealing how decisions about what is saved, displayed, or forgotten are ultimately decisions about which stories, truths, and histories are allowed to endure.
\*Itinerary is subject to change
On our standard tours, we guide you through several thought-provoking presentations in the form of both group and solo exhibitions; on special tours, we have the fortune of visiting an artist studio and gaining insight into the artistic process. Whether galleries, museums, or artist studios - the goal is always to open your mind, discover new ways of thinking, and make new friends!
Meeting location: In front of König Galerie at Alexandrinenstraße 118–121, 10969, Berlin
Time: 13:00 - 15:00
Please do not go inside the gallery prior to the starting time - it is important that we all begin the journey together.
Saturday, June 27th 13:00 - 15:00
\*Acts of Memory\* explores the relationship between personal and collective memory, asking how lived experience shapes identity and what happens when individual histories come into tension with broader cultural narratives. Moving from archives of everyday images and cultural objects to works that revisit inherited political histories, the tour examines memory as something that is not only preserved but constantly reinterpreted. It considers how familiar visual languages can evoke longing, discomfort, or contradiction, and how artists use them to navigate complex relationships with the past. The tour concludes by focusing on the body as a site of memory, exploring how desire, identity, and gender are shaped through cultural narratives, symbolism, and lived experience. Together, the works question who is remembered, what is forgotten, and how memory continues to shape our understanding of ourselves and our histories.
Meeting location: In front of Between Bridges, Adalbertstraße 43, 10179, Berlin

Wet-on-Wet Watercolor:
A 2 hour Inner Exploration
Inner Landscape is an art experience that invites you to partecipate actively in your own inner exploration through image-making.
You Inner World- feelings, thoughts, images and ideas- is the primary material.
We do not create art to make it beautiful . We create art to discover something true.
This is a form of dynamic therapy, requiring one to partecipate in one’s own treatment- as a creator , an Inner Guide. Through the wet-on wet watercolour technique, we work with the paradox of control and surrender: you place water on the paper, and then the paint moves where it will.
In this place between intention and accident , something honest often appears . It is messy, playfull and real.
No artist experience is required, come as you are:).
Important Logistics:
Please confirm your partecipation, small group.
