Night Owl Write Night
Join us for a **casual, low-structure, relaxed** 1.5-hour writing meetup designed for writers who want to connect with others in a supportive, no-pressure environment to come and go as you wish, whenever. Whether you're a poet, novelist, blogger, or write in non-natural languages, we welcome every night owl!
**What to Expect:**
Nothing structured, this is a casual Schelling point for people who happen to write at night. If you are looking for a large group, high-effort, strongly organised event, this is probably not the one for you. If there are new members joining us, we'll start with some introductions, dive into focused writing time on your personal project, and then, optionally, share a short reflection about our writing at the end.
**What to Bring:**
* A writing project
* Something to write with (notebook and pen, laptop, tablet - whatever you prefer)
* A curious mind
**Finding Us:**
Look for the corner table
Peel Street Poetry Open Mic: Brevity is the soul of wit
Open mic poetry night at the Social Room.
“Brevity is the soul of wit,” - Act 2, Hamlet, by anon.
How witty are you?
Join us for a night where poets will face their greatest challenge: A time limit. For the first round, break out your haikus, sonnets and tightest verse and speak your truths in 60 seconds or less.
The second round will be open as usual- and will probably begin earlier than usual as well.
Your MC for the night will be Vishal Nanda, whose average poem length is around 6 minutes
Come, listen or read, your own or others' poetry —the choice is yours.
**Free entry and 2-4-1 drinks until 9pm!**

Delta Green
Welcome to America at the end of the Millennium. Do you know who is pulling the strings? Delta Green knows. Things from beyond time and space that lurk and titter in the shadows, the slow rot at the core of humanity, the dark stars that whirl madly above-these are the true masters of the world. Delta Green has been fighting them since the 1928 Raid on Innsmouth, and the fight still rages on.
Minimum Charge: There Is a minimum spend requirement of one drinks per person, or equivalent items such as bagels or fries.
If you are interested in running a TTRPG Game for us, join our WhatsApp group! https://chat.whatsapp.com/

Mar 26 Harbour Howl
**No judgment. No talking. Just one collective roar.**
Life in Hong Kong is fast, loud, and often overwhelming. We carry stress in our bodies, and sometimes, a deep breath just isn't enough. You’ve probably felt the urge to scream into the void—well, here is your void, and you won't be alone in it.
**🕒 The Game Plan**
What's gonna happen? We keep it simple. We are here to release.
**1\. Turn Up:** More details [here](https://www.instagram.com/harbourhowlhk?igsh=NXU0OWltNGhjaGRj&utm_source=qr)
**2\. The Count:** On the count of three, we scream as a group.
**3\. The Echo:** We repeat as needed until the air feels lighter.
### 🤫 The No-Pressure Promise
* **No Sharing:** We will **not** go around in a circle to share our "feelings" or why we are there.
* **No Small Talk:** You can arrive, scream, and leave without saying a single word to anyone.
* **Total Unity:** If you've been hesitant because you're afraid of being judged or looking "crazy," remember: **everyone else is doing it too.** You aren't the outlier; you're part of the howl.
* *Please participate at your own comfort level. This is a wellness activity, not a substitute for professional mental health services.*

BYOBook: non-fiction books presentations and discussion
This is a regular Bring-Your-Own-Book session, where participants share and present to the group non-fiction books they have read.
New members are welcome to attend to listen to and discuss the presentations of others.
Usually a meeting takes around 2.5-3 hours. During this time we discuss 2 different books, roughly 1 hour per book.
Any non-fiction material: a book, documentary, or lecture or a part of it - anything with a title and an author and that contains some coherent ideas. Each presentation includes a summary of a book (15-40 min) and discussion (accordingly).
The meeting will be either in a park or in a coffee shop, on HK side. The exact place to be confirmed with the attendees **by WhatsApp only**. I will / have sent the link to the WhatsApp group, please use the link.
Introvert friendly.
We have people from different countries, so while books can be in any language, the language of the meeting is English.
There is a fee of 20 HKD for the first timers to help funding the Meetup membership needed to run the group.
Do not hit "Attend" if you are not going to attend.
If you RSVPed, but there is anything preventing you from going to the meeting, remember to tell the host as soon as possible and/or update the RSVP - before the RSVP is closed, to give other people a chance to take your spot.
But if you plan to attend, do hit "Attend", please :)))
No-shows are all silently noted with much disapproval and will be removed from the group.

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!
