[Hiking Series]M'sia-Gunung Tapis(1,512m)+3 Beradik: Beautiful Lost Valley hike!
**\*If interested, please whatsapp** [wa.me/+6588842635](wa.me/+6588842635) **or contact +65 8884 2635! Sign-ups *are only confirmed after contacting us and joining the WA group!\****
Gunung Tapis (1,512m)+ Tiga Beradik (3 Beradik) is a beautiful hike, famous for the mystical views and amazing flora and fauna, which I can say is not necessarily associated with many other hikes in West-Malaysia. With its misty forest vibes, bonsai trees, expansive open views, tranquil summits, one gets to experience a journey that hopefully allows one to experience different amazing views and hopefully other perspectives of nature. You'll get to go through 'Bonsai Camp', 'Lost Valley', what enticing names! Of course, this doesn't come with its challenges, but the challenge will make the views even more satisfying. Do note that while the total distance is \~17km with \~1,700m elevation gain which can sound quite tough, you can do a shorter version of it will allow one to enjoy the view without reaching Puncak 3 Beradik.
In addition, we intend to pair it with Panorama Hill at Sungei Lembing, famous for the sea of clouds the next morning. This trip centers around being in Sungai Lembing, where most locals head there to escape the city due to the beautiful nature with peaceful and laidback vibes, while being around an hour from the city of Kuantan. So enjoy being away from the rush of the city (and convenience), and just being out and about in Nature in a more relaxing and tranquil environment.
This is a hike that isn't that well-known or run as a regular trip, and will need advanced planning so do sign up early! Also, there is a 1h 4WD to start the trip.
**Who is this for?**
**=>** People who have done/can do full day hikes (e.g. Ophir) and wish to enjoy views while hiking
=>Wish to experience a sunrise hike
=> See amazing flora and fauna!
=> Experience a different part of Malaysia (e.g. Kuantan side)
=> Enjoy a more laid-back environment away from the city
=> Maximisers who wish to do multiple peaks/hikes on a trip
Do note that we will start and might descend when dark, so please bring headlights and we expect some level of fitness or hiking experience for the group!
***Hike Details***
***The total distance is \~17km and total elevation gain is \~1700+.The hike is around 10-12 in total, depending on your speed.*** There will be a 1.5h 4WD journey also.
The hike intensity will be similar to Ophir Asahan or slightly longer. With a lack of sleep, it can and will be tiring on your mind, body and legs. However, there can be a shorter trip (u-turn earlier) but we'll aim to have everyone complete both peaks if possible!
It is generally tropical forest trail, with vegetation more similar to those at the higher altitude (1,500m). The trail is likely more raw, as not many people hike this regularly. Do expect it to be muddy, and narrow!
**There is also a cut-off timings which we'll enforce more strictly. If you fail to make it you will have to turn back unfortunately, as the distance is long. We aim to all be back down by 6pm.**
**How many pax for the trip to happen?**
Minimum **12 pax** to start the trip!
A Whatsapp group will be set up and information sent through there.
**Estimated Itinerary:**
**(Friday)**
\~6.00 pm : Meet @ Marsiling MRT, depart
6.00pm - 12am: Dinner/Supper along the way

Relics of the Forbidden Hill: Discover the King’s Treasure
Unlock 700 years of history through an immersive, gamified experience at **Fort Canning Hill**. This isn’t just a walk; it’s a mission. Designed specifically for teens and adults, **Relics of the Forbidden Hill** transforms Singapore’s historic “Bukit Larangan” into a live game board where you are the protagonist.
Starting from the foot of the hill, your guide will lead the group through a series of cryptic challenges and historical ciphers. At each stop, you’ll encounter “beloved items” of the Malay royalty and strategic tools of the British governors. Using your smartphone, you’ll discover artefacts (3D models) that no longer exist on-site, bringing the “Forbidden Hill” back to life right before your eyes.
Designed as a living narrative, this tour swaps traditional commentary for an immersive quest where the history is revealed through the challenges you solve. Perfect for families with teens, groups of friends or colleagues, this quest ends at the vibrant Jubilee Park, leaving you with a newfound perspective on the city’s origins.

Women After 40 - Teatime Meet and Chat
Meet other like-minded ladies 40 and above to chat, talk about life, fitness, food, books and other activities that we like!
We'll be keeping the group size small so we can have deeper conversations and connections.
NOTE:
1. This is a social meetup for building social connections. Please do not use this space to sell or promote any products or services; there are other meetups for that.
2. As we're meeting at a cafe, everyone who attends the meetup needs to order something from the cafe at the very least. I have no arrangements with the cafe, but I think it common courtesy for using their space.
Looking forward to meeting you ladies soon!

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for May is "Ink"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
