Tarot Pratice!
** Take note: This is not in Burke**
Let's get together again and practice our Tarot card and pendulums.
This is for beginners through advanced readers to practice their skills.
Everyone will get to do a reading. There will be extra decks and pendulums if you do not have some. We will try different layouts and share our experiences. All fun!
See you there!

Draw together at the Willard InterContinental for the Holidays
For our next event we will head to The Willard Intercontinental for their holiday displays and cheer. The Willard is a beautiful building with a lot of history and there should be plenty to find to draw here! We've drawn here many times, it's a lovely spot. You can see more here:
[Willard Holidays - Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C. Hotel](https://washington.intercontinental.com/willard-holidays-2025/)
I look forward to drawing with you there!
Doubles Volleyball - Competitive BB+/A
Let's get together to play some competitive doubles volleyball.
**COST**: FREE
**Court Type**: Outdoor grass
**Minimum Skill Requirements**: BB+ (click [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PojSi4qdlRsv1msCHhvpQ43iDc4FfzQwpWCc3kafVMY/mobilebasic) for details)
Attention:
1. This event is **NOT on a first come-first serve** basis and players with higher skill level and players who can bring a net/ball will get priority over others on the wait list.
2. Since skill levels are **self-reported**, some new attendees may not meet the expected level. For doubles, we encourage you to choose a partner you can enjoy the game with, and since this a competitive event, it is okay if you make a strong team and win all the games.
3. Each person must help set up and take down one net, leaving some nets unset for latecomers.
4. Please answer all questions, so it's helpful for us to organize the event.

**Harness the Energy of the Moon to Manifest Your Dreams**
Have you ever felt a quiet pull to align your life with the natural rhythms of the Earth and sky? Or wondered how the moon’s cycles could guide you in achieving your dreams? Imagine setting intentions in a supportive circle of like-minded individuals, with expert guidance to help you turn aspirations into reality.
**New Moon Visioning Circle** is a transformative 90-minute monthly workshop series designed to align you with the potent energy of each New Moon. Whether you're new to lunar practices or seeking deeper connection and accountability, this series offers a nurturing space to reflect, grow, and manifest in harmony with nature’s cycles.
**What to Expect**
Each session integrates scientific insights, ancient wisdom, and community connection to support holistic wellness across your physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual layers. Together, we’ll explore the following steps:
**Sacred Sharing Circle**
Begin with compassionate sharing, where you’ll connect with others in a supportive space that honors your dreams and challenges.
**Lunar Insights**
Discover how the moon’s current phase, zodiac sign, and elemental energies influence both personal and collective experiences. As a former meteorologist, Kristi weaves science into these astrological teachings, offering grounded, actionable insights.
**Shamanic Yoga Nidra**
Relax deeply with a guided meditation uniquely crafted to match the month’s lunar energies. This practice connects you to your inner wisdom, bringing clarity to your goals and dreams.
**Intentional Writing**
Transform your meditation insights into actionable steps. Through journaling, you’ll create intentions, realistic goals, and affirmations that resonate with your authentic path.
**Manifestation Ritual**
Conclude with a ritual tailored to the moon’s elemental sign. This practice anchors your intentions and infuses them into an optional token (such as a crystal or jewelry) to serve as a touchstone for the month ahead.
**Who Is This For?**
This workshop is perfect for you if you:
* Feel drawn to working with lunar cycles for self-growth and manifestation, regardless of your experience level.
* Value a holistic approach to physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
* Seek a supportive group for compassionate accountability and insight into breaking through barriers to your goals.
* Enjoy blending yoga, shamanic practices, and astrology into your self-care and personal development.
**Participation Options**
You can join us **in person** at PIES Fitness Yoga Studio in Old Town Alexandria or **live via Zoom**.
**What to Bring**
* **A yoga mat** for comfort during meditation.
* **A notebook and pen** for intentional journaling.
* **An optional item** (e.g., a crystal or piece of jewelry) to charge with your intentions.
* **An open heart and mind** to embrace the transformative process.
**About the Facilitator**

Capoeira
Capoeira (capo-way-ra) is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is unlike any other martial art. Capoeira incorporates flowing movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics. It is often mistaken for a dance for those reasons. Since it’s origins in the 17th century, it has evolved from a secret fighting practice into an art emphasizing self-expression and community celebration. It is great for the body and mind! In addition to gaining strength and flexibility in class, students learn about Brazilian culture, history, and language (Portuguese). On November 26, 2014 capoeira was granted a special protected status as "intangible cultural heritage” by UNESCO.
No need to have a Capoeira background to join this class, just an open mind to try out a new way to move! Beginners welcome.

Meaningful Conversation and Morning Coffee - Northside Social Falls Church
**Join us in Falls Church for conversations that go beyond small talk.**
Higher Grounds – Falls Church is where this growing network of gatherings began: a space for thoughtful, authentic dialogue about what matters most. Whether we’re exploring the nature of happiness, the challenges and possibilities of midlife, spirituality, culture, capitalism, parenting, or the role of art and travel in a meaningful life, every conversation is shaped by the people in the room.
There’s no set leader or rigid agenda—just a shared commitment to listen as much as we speak. We start with brief introductions focused on what makes you *you* (not your LinkedIn bio), then dive straight into whatever is on people’s minds. The direction of each meetup emerges organically, making every event unique.
Come ready to share, reflect, and connect with others in Falls Church who are also seeking deeper conversations.

Making care packages for unhoused folks
We're collaborating with Westerville Queer Collective to gather supplies and pack care packages. Head over to their event page to [register](https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-wroejsfn/events/312453970/) officially.
We’ll be assembling care packages with food, warm weather supplies, recreational items like books, and resource guides for local unhoused folks. Packages will then be delivered to HEER2SERVE, local nonprofit that has weekly “serves”, when they go out into local encampment areas and deliver needed items and food. Our care packages will be a part of that.
WQC will supply containers and food items for the care packages. So this time we are primarily focusing on gathering donations for keeping warm, including up to 50 of the following items:
Clean or new socks, hats, scarves and gloves
Handwarmers
Sanitizing wipes
Lighters
You are welcome to contribute items or just come and help pack. Leave a comment if you are bringing donations. We can also accept money donations through WQC.

Curating Confidence: Crafting Your Vision for the Year Ahead
Step into 2026 with intention, clarity, and a creative practice designed to help you see yourself more clearly. In this special Confidence Lab session, we’ll explore confidence as something you can curate - through the choices you make, the qualities you amplify, and the story you choose to step into.
We’ll start with a short guided reflection to surface the traits, habits, and energies you want to nurture in the coming year. Then, using collage materials selected specifically for this workshop, you’ll translate those insights into a visual composition that represents the version of yourself you’re ready to grow toward.
This isn’t about resolutions or perfection. It’s about crafting a grounded, imaginative vision of your next chapter - one that feels honest, energizing, and fully yours.
All materials are provided. Just bring yourself (and a friend) and a willingness to explore what confidence can look like for you in 2026.
**Featured Partner: Columbus Collage Collective**
The Columbus Collage Collective was started in August of 2023 by Emily Morgan (aka Lovely But Dead) and Douglas Cuckler (aka Wonder Doug) as a place for collage enthusiasts to gather and create art together. The collective has since become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission to hold free or low-cost collage events across central Ohio. The CCC welcomes all artists of all backgrounds and skill levels and encourages folks to take this time to step away from everyday existence and create art with people who share a love for this dynamic art form.
All materials—magazines, scissors, craft knives, glue, paper, cardboard, and more—are provided, so there's no need to bring anything at all (though you're welcome to bring a friend or a favorite tool if you'd like!). We also encourage folks to take home magazines and materials from our events to support continued creativity!
