Novalja Summer Getaway: Peak July Beach & Festival Crew! 🌴✨
Hey everyone! Ready to escape to the "Croatian Ibiza" this summer? I’m Gabriel, a full-time physical nomad, and I’ve locked down a beautiful apartment in Novalja from **July 22–27** right near the action. We are hitting the famous Zrce beach where takes places many of the biggest festivals in Croatia in the best beach clubs! I am looking for **2 to 3 fun, open-minded people** to join the house, share the experience, and split the baseline costs. I want it to make it easy for us so we can just focus on the party, we have our own apartment, buffet for lunch and dinner and unlimited drinks from 11-11 ( beer, sangria, vodka juice and gin tonic) if you want to join us hit me up, I can speak spanish, english, french, croatian and even some german:)
Workshop: Analyse your Receipts with Tensorix
Workshop: Analyse your Receipts with Tensorix
Build a private AI app in one evening Sometimes you do not want to send your data away to someone else's cloud. You want private AI on infrastructure you can rely. Tensorix ([www.tensorix.ai](http://www.tensorix.ai/)) offers: 30+ open-weight models (DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi and friends) on EU-sovereign infrastructure with no data retention, behind a drop-in OpenAI-compatible API. This is a hands-on workshop. Bring a laptop. You will leave with: * A working app you built yourself, running on your laptop * A pipeline that extracts text from images * A receipt classifier you can show your colleagues, and the skills to extend it * A Tensorix account, set up and loaded with free credits (pay-as-you-go after that, no monthly fees or minimums) * Pizza eaten On the night I will step through building a Streamlit app using spec-driven development, connecting it to Tensorix, and getting your colleagues using it. No AI experience needed; a little Python helps. I code in cursor so downloading that will help. But if you know another ide you will be fine to use that. If you can sign up at https://tensorix.ai/ for an account that will save some time. Tensorix are hosting us at their space and are providing the LLM credits and the pizza. It is a workshop with limited numbers so please keep your rsvp accurate if you can.
Maker Night - Work on 3D projects using laser cutter, 3D Printer at TOG
Maker Night - Work on 3D projects using laser cutter, 3D Printer at TOG
**Do you like to make things? Would you like to use 3D software, lasercutter and 3D printing to help you make your idea?** TOG has an open evening to learn how CAD software and 3D fabrication tools can help you make your project. All you need to take part is your own laptop and some ideas on what you want to make. This is not a taught class, more like an informal working group of self-directed makers. We will be happy to help you explore how to use our 3D tools in designing and making your project whether you are a crafter, designer, engineer or hobbyist. Come and have a look at the tools in our space and get some ideas on how your project can be made.
Pride Over the Waves: Amateur Radio Night
Pride Over the Waves: Amateur Radio Night
og Hackerspace is teaming up with **Queer Shed Dublin Central** for a special evening of amateur radio, Morse code, hands-on demos, and community connection. **Pride Over the Waves: Amateur Radio Night** will take place in Tog Hackerspace on **Monday, 22 June 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm**. The event is free, but places are limited, so please book a ticket on Eventbrite: [https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/pride-over-the-waves-amateur-radio-night-tickets-1991936225873](https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/pride-over-the-waves-amateur-radio-night-tickets-1991936225873) Queer Shed Dublin Central is a grassroots queer skill-sharing community connecting through DIY, repair, and regeneration. We are delighted to welcome them to Tog for this joint event. ![](https://www.tog.ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/PXL_20260609_200539725-1024x769.jpg) The night is linked to **Pride Over the Waves**, a grassroots amateur radio initiative created by LGBTQI+ amateur radio operators and allies to help make LGBTQI+, queer, and diverse radio amateurs more visible in the wider amateur radio community. For the evening, we will be activating the special event callsign **EI0LGBT**. ## What will happen on the night? From **7:00 pm to 8:00 pm**, we will have an informal introduction to amateur radio, with live demos and hands-on activities. There will be a chance to see radio equipment in action, learn what callsigns are, hear how radio contacts are made, and try out some Morse code. The Morse code part will be very beginner-friendly. You do not need to know anything before coming along. It is just a chance to have a go, send a few letters, and discover why this old form of communication is still loved by radio amateurs today. From **8:00 pm to 9:00 pm**, we will call into the **South Dublin Radio Club net** using the **EI0LGBT** callsign. A radio net is a regular on-air gathering where radio operators check in, say hello, and share updates. There may be a chance for visitors to say hello over the radio with support from licensed operators, subject to the usual radio rules on the night. ![](https://www.tog.ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/IMG-20260419-WA0013-1024x576.jpg) ## Who is it for? This event is open to everyone. You do not need a radio licence to attend. You do not need to be technical. You do not need to know Morse code. You just need to be curious. Whether you are part of Queer Shed Dublin Central, a Tog member, a radio amateur, a maker, a friend, an ally, or someone who has never touched a radio before, you are very welcome. ## Event details **Date:** Monday, 22 June 2026 **Time:** 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm **Venue:** Tog Hackerspace **Tickets:** Free via Eventbrite **Special event callsign:** EI0LGBT Book your free ticket here: [https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/pride-over-the-waves-amateur-radio-night-tickets-1991936225873](https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/pride-over-the-waves-amateur-radio-night-tickets-1991936225873) ![](https://www.tog.ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/logo.jpg) You can find Queer Shed Dublin Central on Instagram at: [https://www.instagram.com/queersheddublincentral/](https://www.instagram.com/queersheddublincentral/) Come along, tune in, and help us put **EI0LGBT** on the air.

Public Speaking Monday Meetup - New Location
Come along to get rid of the number one fear people have. Every week we have new members and people starting from scratch so you will not be alone. Everything is based around what you're comfortable with and you don't have to stand up, talk or do anything if you don't feel like it. But you will have the opportunity to speak at least 4/5 times a night. You can come along to see what we're doing and take part if you like. We will be running this for beginners every week and anyone is welcome to join us to learn and get better together. Hope to see you there :D We charge €5 to help towards the room rental.
Electronics Night
Electronics Night
These are our regular Monday evening electronics nights. Everyone from absolute beginner to experienced is welcome. These evenings are not classes or tutorials, rather a very friendly informal evening. We have a wide range of people who come. Some are absolute beginners who do not even work or study electronics, but are interested to know more. Others have something that they are already working on. We almost always have some first time visitors and we always give them a tour of the space. Come in with your Pi, Arduino, or whatever you have. Bring your laptop. Maybe you want to make something, solder, breadboard or use our electronic gear. Maybe you have some vague ideas and just want to get started. Or maybe you’re just curious……if so, it’s fine to come along and just see what others are doing. If you would like to get even more involved and have the full use of our space, we would be delighted to have you as a full member. Membership brings many benefits. We are located behind Mr Price and the Bright Lights store on Kylemore Road. We have lots of free parking available.
