**Join with campaigners like yourself to organise locally to end global poverty!**
Each month, Results grassroots advocates – people from all walks of life around the city – meet in person to take action to benefit people around the world who are living with poverty and injustice, persuading politicians of all parties to make specific changes that will result in a fairer and more sustainable world. It may sound incredible, but it’s as simple as speaking up for what you believe in.
We have a track record of making a difference, persuading successive UK Governments to fund important initiatives that help provide health and education worldwide, tackle malnutrition, and protect children against killer diseases.
These meetings are open to everyone, no matter what your level of experience.
At each meeting you will:

The Alt/Cult Spring Social
Okay, so spring has already sprung. But late May is the point of the year when the temperature doesn't plunge 10 degrees the moment the sun sets or goes behind a cloud, so what better time to catch up with old friends and make new ones over drinks?
This time, we're meeting at Frank's, a rooftop bar in Peckham which is reopening after its winter hibernation. Yes, you have to walk up a few stories, but you're rewarded with an array of high-level installation art and arguably the best view in South London (don't worry, there'll be a venue change if the weather looks bleak!). The entrance is around the corner from the area's iconic cinema, the PeckhamPlex.

Usually, we kick these off around 7pm, but as it's outdoors I'm setting the start time earlier so people can make the most of the sunshine if they want.
Thursday Eltham Badminton Session (Intermediate/Advanced players)
We play with feather shuttles and welcome intermediate (minimum 2 years playing) to advanced players. We play fast paced games, but we are also very friendly helping each other to improve. Please do not attend our sessions if you are beginner, we can recommend local coaching to get you up to speed.
We close RSVP 24 hours before the session as we need to book the courts in advance. After that, please message us directly so we can confirm if we can still accommodate you, if you don't get an answer, assume there is no spot for you.
PAYMENT DETAILS
Please ensure to make the payment before starting the session by 23:59pm Wednesdays so we can secure your place. We no longer accepting payments during the day without any agreement with the hosts. This is so we do not lose out as we do pre book the courts. The costs for pay as you go sessions is £10.00 per person, monthly plan is £32 a month or £40 for months with 5 weeks (£8 per session) paid on the first day of each month in advance.

There are plenty of free parking spaces at the front entrance.
Enter through the wooden side gates on the right and walk straight. Walk across towards the football cages and enter the building on the right (directly opposite the cages). Through the double doors and courts on the right.
If you cancel last minute or do not show up for the session more than once without letting us know we may remove you from the group.
Dulwich Park Nordic Walking
Ready to get outside? Our Thursday morning session in Dulwich park is back!
At this moment we can meet with up to 30 people (of more than two households) to do outdoor exercise and walks. However, i like to keep our exercise groups small, so I have set the maximum participants at 12.
For now this walk is for our experienced Nordic Walkers only, who already used to Nordic Walk with us regularly before Covid 19 kept us indoors, and who have their own Nordic Walking poles.
As this session is outdoors, we will not ask you to wear a face mask, but we do ask you to keep 2 meters apart. Some of our walkers might be immune compromised or more at risk, so please help us keep everyone safe!
Please do not come to the session and stay at home if:
- you know you have been in contact - in the last 2 weeks- with someone with symptoms of possible Covid, or if you have been in contact with someone who tested positive.
- you have any of the following symptoms: (new) Loss of smell/taste, Persistent cough, Fatigue, Loss of appetite, Skin rash, Hives, Fever, Severe muscle pain, Shortness of breath, Diarrhoea, Delirium, Abdominal pain, Chest pain, Hoarse voice, Eye soreness, Sore or painful throat, Nausea or vomiting, Headache, Dizziness or light headedness
We meet by the cafe in the middle of the park.
Session Price: £10 per session, £89 for a 10-session card or £70 unlimited sessions per month. Session cards and pay Monthly can be used in any of our outdoor walks or indoor Zoom classes sessions (except for the Parkinson's sessions).
Pay What Works:
The price shown above is the “true” value of the session that best reflects the work I put into preparing and leading your session. However, I understand that not everyone can afford to pay full price, and I don’t want that to stop you from joining us.
In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I provide in creating and delivering these classes.
Then send an email to ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com with the heading “INVOICE please”- followed by “FAHO 1” to pay full price as quoted below, “FAHO 2”, for 20% off, or “FAHO 3” for 50% off.

Social Event:
Our walks are social walks, where the emphasis is on meeting new people, enjoying nature, healthy exercise, and fresh air. Our walks are not interrupted with running commentaries or historical lectures, although occasionally features of significance may be pointed out. As such our walks will be continuous with few stops and it is your responsibilty to keep walkers ahead in view and to follow the direction of the walk.
RISKS for all walks: Please dress appropriately for weather conditions and carry a bottle of water and necessary medication. You need to be moderately fit for this walk and be able to walk for four miles without a break. In these walks we use; pavements, cross busy roads, public parkland, towpaths alongside water, other public paths, rights of way, bridlepaths, country lanes and other established paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Please only wear good sturdy shoes, preferably walking boots and take care as surfaces may be uneven, tree roots may protrude, there may be low overhanging branches and some paths are also used by joggers and cyclists and sometimes cars (country lanes). Some tracks may be muddy and slippery. On occasion wild,domestic and farm animals may also encountered. If you require insurance for these walks then you must arrange this yourself.
No large dogs or small children please.
Please arrive in good time to allow opportunity to use toilets at the start of the walk as there may not be any toilet breaks available during the walk.

Waltham Forest Cycling Campaign (http://www.wfcycling.org.uk/): Meet 10am Walthamstow Town Square for a 10:15am start on the 4th Sunday of each month. Walthamstow Town Square is by the Central Station, which is only about half a mile from Walthamstow Queens Road station on the Barking to Gospel Oak line.
The ride is free to attend. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and maybe a snack. A spare inner tube is also recommended. We usually stop at a café or picnic location. Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult

A CLASSIC WALK through north London's top green and wooded area with its impressive Kenwood House.
WALK START: **Meeting at Tufnell Park Station (Northern Line - High Barnet Branch** \- Zone 2\)\. Look for Ken with Kens Events/Meetup Badge\.
WALK FINISH: Finishing at Golders Green Station (Northern Line).
WALK ROUTE: We will walk through the meadows and woods of Hampstead Heath. taking in Parliament Hill and passing by Kenwood House.

A Surrey walk that takes in commons, ponds, woods and hills. Lunch will be at a National Trust centre by Frensham Little Pond where there are public facilities. Post lunch, we make our way to Haslemere via the Devil's Punchbowl and Gibbett Hill.
The walk is not intended to be superfast, however due to its length you will need to keep a reasonably good pace throughout.
Please bring packed lunch.

**Travel**: Take 09:45 from London Waterloo (09:52 Clapham Junction, 10:25 Guildford), arr. 10:38 Milford (Surrey). Buy a return to Haslemere (Surrey). This will cover journey to Milford as both stations are on the same line.

Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy nature! We meet Saturdays at 10am, by the bike racks and benches 150 feet in front of BUBBLES Hair Salon in Reston, leaving no later than 10:05.
Every week we'll walk the Green Trail to Lake Anne Plaza (\~1 mile), pause there for 5-10 minutes (water, bio, and from April-Nov a Farmer's Market), then circle the lake (2 miles) before returning to our starting point. It's roughly 3.5 miles and takes about an hour and a half.
Afterwards, some members will often head to a local restaurant to refuel and relax before tackling the rest of the day.
This event is open to all ages and fitness levels, and both friends and dogs are always welcome! We recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water bottle, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll always walk, rain or shine.

The Sacred Body - Health Improvement Club for Witches

Merlin is a local practitioner in Massage Therapy, Reiki, Group Fitness, and is interested in all around wellness. He has focused on his own health and wellness over many years and recognizes how much supportive community and intentional self-love is for finding value in a health journey.

Discuss techniques to deal with Physical Discomfort
Thank you to everyone who attended our last meet up. It was wonderful to see you and share ideas on how to make our holistic practices the new normal for our community.
Our next meet up will be on May 4th at 7PM at
9255 Center Street, Suite 406. Manassas, VA 20110.
The focus of this meetup will be utilizing techniques for Pain Management. We will have a discussion of how we each address dealing with pain in our practices and how we can use these tools to help the community.
There will be light refreshments and we will have a further group discussion about how to use this group to create better business opportunities for those in our fields. As we make the holistic approach to health a more common occurrence, we increase our opportunity to making a living at what we do.
Please bring another person with you who might be interested in learning more about our practices. If you have someone you know who is in physical discomfort, invite them with you so we may be able to help them.
