Moderate to high intensity football
Welcome!
This football session is for individuals who like playing on moderate to high intensity (run a lot and change position to give player with the ball option to pass). Usually play on a pretty competitive level. Our football skills are average to good.
To keep things fair and enjoyable for all, we follow a few simple rules:
* **Show up at 07:15** so that you can get checked by the organiser
* If you are not checked by the organiser then \*\*1 match penalty applies\*\*(being moved to waitlist)
* **No studs**
* If you show up with studs, then you wont be allowed to play
* No dangerous tackling
* If you get tackled, you need to call the foul
* In case of handball only people close (1-2m) can call handball
* Since we play 12v12, we have offsides (0-1m difference is still tolerated)
* No penalties for handball in penalty box(no way of proving handball and please be fair)
* In case of handball, the other teams goalkeeper gets the ball
Skaten um den Müggelsee
Hallo Zusammen,

Ultimate Frisbee in the Park - 2026 edition
Hi everyone. We'll meet and play a relaxed game of ultimate in Volkspark Rehberge if the weather cooperates.
Our games focus on having great team play, where the teams work together to advance the disk down the field. It's more important to work well together as a team than have a few star players get a point with lucky shots. For this reason, players of all skill levels (especially those who have never played) are welcome to join
Bring plenty of water, shoes you can run in and comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty.
Although we're an established group, newcomers are always welcome.
After the game we try to spend some time together and have fun.
Finding us: We meet in this big grassy area, it's a short bike ride from the subway stop Rehberge on the U6 or Amrumer Strasse on the U9. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so we've got a few methods to help out (don't trust the meetup map pin, it often shows some point in the park, not the exact spot where we are)
1. GPS: 52°32'54.9"N 13°19'51.0"E ; 52.548581, 13.330842
2. Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/xbZgaXzMSMt

*This event may also be photographed and/or video-recorded, and published on social media channels such as meetup and eventbrite.*
*By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risk of injury while playing Ultimate. Although adherence to the rules, proper equipment, and common sense reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, you willingly and freely assume all such risks.*

Sunday afternoon Climbing at Magic Mountain
**!If you cannot belay, please contact us on the Telegram group!**
Here is our Telegram group (to be protected against bots): https://tinyurl.com/BerlinClimbingMeetup2
**Safety:**
**If you cannot belay, please contact us on the Telegram group about this and we will put you in a group with experience people. That way, if you cannot belay you can still come and climb with us. We are not allowed to teach anyone how to belay or refresh someone's belaying skills. If you have not belayed in the last 6 months or more, we recommend you do not attempt it here without taking a formal refresher course first.**
Join us for some Sunday afternoon climbing at Magic Mountain. We will spend the afternoon climbing - lead and top rope followed by a meal afterwards.
The Plan:
4:00 - 8:00 climbing
8:00+: Potential hangout (sauna from the gym, drinks. local restaurant) depending on the mood of participants
Gear:
You can rent all the gear you need - shoes, chalk and a harness.
Finding the group:
We will either be waiting outside on the wooden chairs or hanging around reception (if the weather is bad). If you're new to the group, I'd recommend trying to arrive on time or a bit in advance. Please use the link below to join our Telegram group and send us a message if you have trouble finding us.
Note: We are not a "Magic Mountain" official Meetup, the hall has its own meetups, we are an independent group with events in different halls. So don't be confused if some of the reception people don't know about the meetup or tell you it happens on another day. :)
In addition, while the event is free you will need to pay the entry to the gym and the rental equipment if you don't have it. (20 to 25 euros)

***
**Do you enjoy cycling, spending time in nature, and meeting new people in Berlin? Then join this gravel ride from Prenzlauer Berg to Schönower Heide! 😊**
This ride isn’t about pushing your limits, but about enjoying the outdoors together and connecting with others. A basic level of fitness and confidence on your bike is required – but no matter what kind of gravel bike (or other off-road capable bike) you ride, you’re welcome. 😉
We’ll keep a steady but relaxed pace (about 20 km/h) and value a friendly, respectful group atmosphere. ☺️
**📍 Meeting point:** U Eberswalder Straße, corner of Topsstraße ([Google Maps](https://maps.app.goo.gl/v1TWzNAUD4YyokvT7))
🕚 **Departure: 11:00** (please arrive at least five minutes early)

If you like, you can join for another \~10 km back into the city on mostly paved roads. Alternatively, you can easily take the S-Bahn from Buch. You’ll find the route map here on the event page [and on Komoot](https://www.komoot.com/tour/2844752978).

If you are not yet at the intermediate level (F1+) or want to play 3v3/4v4, sign up via [the simultaneous event](https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/) instead.
We play with beach rules: do not use open hands for the first or last touches, do not touch the net, etc. We overbook slightly to ensure we have enough players and to allow individuals to take breaks.
After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area.
It's recommended that you come 10 minutes early so you have time to change and find the fields. If it is your first time, 15 minutes might be even better.
We play in domes that are heated up to at least 15C.
You can join whatever court you like and move between courts during the event. We self-organize, so once you finish a game, you can start a rematch, mix with another court, or take a break as you see fit. Upon arrival, join the warmup happening on one of the courts.

Seneca Greenway Trail & Rocklands Farm Winery (12.7 miles and 800 ft. elevation)
DESCRIPTION: This is a 12.7-mile loop hike that goes along Seneca Creek. There is not a lot of elevation change but please know your limitations as this is a longer hike. Because of the minimal elevation change we will go at about a 3 MPH pace when hiking. We will take breaks ever 2-3 miles with a lunch break at about the 8-mile mark at a nice place along the creek. This is kind of a cool hike as you are by the creek or in some of the lowlands the majority of the trip. We will have to cross Rt. 28 and walk over the Rt. 28 bridge as well as the River Road Bridge crossing Seneca Creek. There is also one place you will have to cross the creek but there are very large flat boulders you can hop on. All are easy to do but just calling them out in advance. It will likely take us between 4.5 to 5 hours. It is really nice this time of year as the leaves are starting show on the trees but you can still see pretty good through the forest. Rockland Farms Winery is about .5 miles away if anyone wanted to go there to relax after the hike.
For the all trails please go here: [Explore Lower Seneca Creek Greenway Trail | AllTrails](https://www.alltrails.com/explore/map/map-april-30-2024-de6b1cf?ref=share-sms&sh=omb4v6)
**Parking Lot:** 39°05'27.4"N 77°20'40.6"W
Plug in the GPS coordinates and it will take you there. The parking lot is on Montevideo Rd between Rocklands Farm and River Road.
14510 Montevideo Rd. Seneca, MD will get you pretty close.
Key info:
**Parking**: Parking lot is on Montevideo Rd. and can hold about 15-20 cars
**Meet at**: Parking Lot
**Time**: Meet at 8:30am. We hit the trail at 8:40 sharp
EXPECTATIONS: Download the trail map onto your phone before you arrive. **Bring plenty of drinking water and a lunch/snacks**. Know your physical limits and cardiovascular fitness. Bring proper clothing and gear for the weather. If you have any concerns or questions, don't hesitate to contact the hike leader via the chat feature or direct messaging.

Hike is a total of 5.5 miles and 1600' elevation gain. We will bushwhack off of the Appalachian Trail (AT) near the Panorama lower parking lot to Marys Rock. The bushwhack portion is about .8 miles and 1000’ gain, this is very steep and we move at \~ ½ mph with frequent rest stops. After completing the bushwhack to Marys Rock we will continue south on the AT until Byrds Nest shelter for lunch then return on the AT to Panorama parking. This portion is about 4.5 miles. This is rated a B level due to mileage and elevation gain, but please read the paragraph below carefully.
***Bushwhacking involves walking off trail, rock scrambling with potential obstacles such as downed trees, brush, sticker bushes, rocks, mud, stream crossings, slippery leaves and very steep uphills. Clothes may get torn by sticker bushes. Only RSVP if you are up for this adventure.***
We will only do this hike if weather and ground conditions are ideal.
\*\*Due to the off trail nature we are limiting attendance to less than or equal to 20 people.\*\*
No park entry fee if you park in the trailhead lot I specified.

First 15 minutes: Arrival at the pool, getting gear from the shared gear bin, dividing into two teams, getting gear on.
Minutes 15-30: Getting in the water, teaching any new players the basics
Minutes 20-70: Scrimmage/practice.
Minutes 70-75: Putting away club gear, putting the lane lines back in place, clearing the pool deck.
(optional) afterwards: Go to a local restaurant for food, drinks, and socializing.
Little Devil Stairs/Piney Branch/Fork Mountain Loop (Rating: A)

*[https://nvhc.com/signin.pdf](https://nvhc.com/signin.pdf) and then answer the question that you will see when you RSVP with "I accept" to be permitted on the hike.*
This hike is a scenic hike of 10.5 miles and 2900 ft. elevation. This is a longer hike than most of our hikes here, with more elevation. It is high A-rated, nearly an A+. Therefore, this should not be one's first A-level hike.
We'll hike up Little Devil Stairs with several stream crossings, then cross over to descend Piney Branch trail until it intersects Piney Ridge Trail. We'll then ascend 800 ft of elevation up Piney Ridge before descending again on Fork Mountain Trail to Hull School and Keyser Run fire road back to the parking lot. Be prepared for a significant stream crossing at the bottom of Fork Mountain Trail. Poles are recommended due to the stream crossings, as well as an extra pair of dry socks.
The trailhead parking is limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.
