Evening walk to Müggelsee
On next Wednesday we a planning a short walk to a pittoresque lake in Eastern Berlin.
We are going to discover the Müggelsee lake and the unique Spreetunnel under the Spree river. These scenic places are easily accessible with BVG S-Bahn and tram.
Our meeting is at 18:00 at Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, then we walk to the Spreetunnel and continue our small hike in the park at another side of Spree. We return to Friedrichshagen before dark, and those who wish could go for a beer or a dish in local bars or restaurants.
For lovers of nature, cultural heritage, meeting new people and socializing.
The organizer is not responsable for the safety of participants. The meetup is free, while small donations (1-3 eur) to cover meetup subscription costs are appreciated.

**If you cannot belay, please contact us on the Telegram group about this and we will put you in a group with experience people. That way, if you cannot belay you can still come and climb with us. We are not allowed to teach anyone how to belay or refresh someone's belaying skills. If you have not belayed in the last 6 months or more, we recommend you do not attempt it here without taking a formal refresher course first.**
Join us for some Sunday afternoon climbing at Magic Mountain. We will spend the afternoon climbing - lead and top rope followed by a meal afterwards.
The Plan:
4:00 - 8:00 climbing
8:00+: Potential hangout (sauna from the gym, drinks. local restaurant) depending on the mood of participants
Gear:
You can rent all the gear you need - shoes, chalk and a harness.
Finding the group:
We will either be waiting outside on the wooden chairs or hanging around reception (if the weather is bad). If you're new to the group, I'd recommend trying to arrive on time or a bit in advance. Please use the link below to join our Telegram group and send us a message if you have trouble finding us.
Note: We are not a "Magic Mountain" official Meetup, the hall has its own meetups, we are an independent group with events in different halls. So don't be confused if some of the reception people don't know about the meetup or tell you it happens on another day. :)

Early bird bike ride: Warschauer Str → H. Neuendorf along Berlin Wall (~40 km)
Early bird ride: Warschauer Str → Hohen Neuendorf along the Berlin Wall Trail.
Start your Sunday with a morning ride along the historic Mauerweg. We'll cycle from Warschauer Straße heading north to Hohen Neuendorf, following the path where the Berlin Wall once stood. The route is
flat, mostly paved, and takes us through the city, along the former border strip, through forests, and past memorials and remnants of the that era.
Any bike type works. No special experience needed - you just should be comfortable riding 40 km at your own pace.
From Hohen Neuendorf, you can take the S-Bahn back — it connects directly to the Ringbahn and city center. Easy return!
• Start: S-Bahn Warschauer Straße
• End: S-Bahn Hohen Neuendorf
• Distance: \~40 km
• Terrain: Flat, mostly paved bike paths
• Pace: The one you're comfortable with — we're here to enjoy a beautiful start to the day. We keep moving but it's not a race
• Recommended to bring: water, a snack, and sunscreen
• Equipment: Up to you but you're responsible for your own safety.
We'll stop for coffee/breakfast along the way (pay your own).

On May 01, we will drive to Katjasee for a swim and a short picknick on the lake. I have a car and I wouldn't mind some company.
We will depart at 10:00 (sharp) and drive to a parking space near the lake. From there it is a 20 minute walk.
17:00 for return is an estimate. We can stay as long as we like.
Note that the place is remote. There are no facilities. You have to bring everything you need.

**We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can!**
