Yoga in the park🧘☀️🌳
Yoga in the park🧘☀️🌳
🌳FREE YOGA CLASS IN THE PARK🌳

Hey there, fellow Berliners!!!
I’m excited to be restarting my regular yoga classes this summer - its gonna be an amazing experience to share together🧘‍♀️☀️

I'm hosting a FREE Hatha yoga class in the park, and you're invited! Come stretch, breathe, and soak up some good energy.
Ready to bend without the pretzel stress? Hatha yoga is all about the feel-good basics. We'll flow through poses at a pace that lets you actually breathe (imagine that!), building a sweet rhythm between your body and mind. It's like giving yourself a mini-massage from the inside out, leaving you feeling nicely stretched, a little stronger, and oh-so-relaxed. No fancy contortions required, just good, honest movement🧘

But wait, there's more! Think good chats, maybe coffee, and definitely the chance to meet some awesome new folks and maybe even make a friend or two🥰
No need to be a yoga pro – all levels are totally welcome. Just bring your mat (or a towel!), some comfy clothes, water, and your friendly self.

Let's enjoy some fresh air, gentle movement, and good company together!

Meeting point - Treptower park S bhan at 6 15pm. We shall start walking to the park and find a good spot at 6 25pm. We shall coordinate in the chat. Join this WhatsApp group for live location of the event or communicate https://chat.whatsapp.com/EeWxeuKLdaNGOZD2fLVuEa

Park Volley ☀️ 🏐 🌴 @ Hasenheide
Park Volley ☀️ 🏐 🌴 @ Hasenheide
**Join us for outdoor grass volleyball in Hasenheide park!** This event is not suitable for complete beginners. We play with two nets. The "chill court" is for mixed-level play with 3v3 up to 5v5. The "competitive court" is for higher-level 2v2 play with beach rules. Be sure to wear suitable sports clothing and perhaps bring a drink. There are no facilities such as changing rooms and showers in the park. A nearby public toilet is also available, but it might be closed, dirty, or not have toilet paper. **Location**: We play in the narrow clearing, located between the two paths in the center of Hasenheide park, on the southern side. Updates will be posted in the WhatsApp group, which you can join via [https://tinyurl.com/ParkVolley](https://tinyurl.com/ParkVolley) **RSVP**: Put yourself on the waitlist, even if other people are already on there. The waitlist is not chronological, so even if there are 30 people on there, you still have a chance! If you get a spot, you will be moved to the attending list and notified by Meetup. This is a free event with limited space. **If you can't make it, promptly update your RSVP to NO** so others can take your place. If you do not show up or cancel last minute, you will be marked as a no-show, reducing your chances of getting off the waitlist in the future. **Payment:** This event is free, but you are invited to make a 2 EUR donation towards equipment. **Attending**: Do not join if you have an infectious disease. You need to be on the attendee list to attend; **being on the waitlist is not sufficient**. Do not bring friends that are not on the attendee list. **Showing up without having a valid RSVP will get you banned**. **Safety**: Mind the terrain. The grass might be uneven and contain items such as bottle caps. It is not suitable for diving or playing like on a beach. Be careful not to twist your ankle. Keep an eye on your belongings since we are in a public park. We do *not* have a full first aid kit available. Please inform the organizer of any medical conditions that might require attention during the event. Some things you *might* want to bring: \* Drink \* Snacks \* Insect spray \* Sunscreen \* Toilet paper, if you wish to use the public toilet Join our WhatsApp community via [https://tinyurl.com/ParkVolley](https://tinyurl.com/ParkVolley) Follow us on Insta at [https://www.instagram.com/berlinvolleyball](https://www.instagram.com/berlinvolleyball) Pictures might be taken and shared publicly, such as on Meetup or Instagram. Berlin Sprachcafé. Learn and practise German easily (A1-A2)
The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :) We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German. The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other. The Sprachcafé is for free. \*If you cannot make it please cancel your participation so someone else from the waiting list can join, thank you!\* \| \| \| \|

Sunday afternoon Climbing at Magic Mountain
Sunday afternoon Climbing at Magic Mountain
**!If you cannot belay, please contact us on the Telegram group!** Here is our Telegram group (to be protected against bots): https://tinyurl.com/BerlinClimbingMeetup2 **Safety:** **If you cannot belay, please contact us on the Telegram group about this and we will put you in a group with experience people. That way, if you cannot belay you can still come and climb with us. We are not allowed to teach anyone how to belay or refresh someone's belaying skills. If you have not belayed in the last 6 months or more, we recommend you do not attempt it here without taking a formal refresher course first.** Join us for some Sunday afternoon climbing at Magic Mountain. We will spend the afternoon climbing - lead and top rope followed by a meal afterwards. The Plan: 4:00 - 8:00 climbing 8:00+: Potential hangout (sauna from the gym, drinks. local restaurant) depending on the mood of participants Gear: You can rent all the gear you need - shoes, chalk and a harness. Finding the group: We will either be waiting outside on the wooden chairs or hanging around reception (if the weather is bad). If you're new to the group, I'd recommend trying to arrive on time or a bit in advance. Please use the link below to join our Telegram group and send us a message if you have trouble finding us. Note: We are not a "Magic Mountain" official Meetup, the hall has its own meetups, we are an independent group with events in different halls. So don't be confused if some of the reception people don't know about the meetup or tell you it happens on another day. :) In addition, while the event is free you will need to pay the entry to the gym and the rental equipment if you don't have it. (20 to 25 euros) Telegram Group: You can also join our Telegram group using this link: https://tinyurl.com/BerlinClimbingMeetup2 Please PM me if the link stops working again.
Early bird bike ride: Warschauer Str → H. Neuendorf along Berlin Wall (~40 km)
Early bird bike ride: Warschauer Str → H. Neuendorf along Berlin Wall (~40 km)
Early bird ride: Warschauer Str → Hohen Neuendorf along the Berlin Wall Trail. Start your Sunday with a morning ride along the historic Mauerweg. We'll cycle from Warschauer Straße heading north to Hohen Neuendorf, following the path where the Berlin Wall once stood. The route is flat, mostly paved, and takes us through the city, along the former border strip, through forests, and past memorials and remnants of the that era. Any bike type works. No special experience needed - you just should be comfortable riding 40 km at your own pace. From Hohen Neuendorf, you can take the S-Bahn back — it connects directly to the Ringbahn and city center. Easy return! • Start: S-Bahn Warschauer Straße • End: S-Bahn Hohen Neuendorf • Distance: \~40 km • Terrain: Flat, mostly paved bike paths • Pace: The one you're comfortable with — we're here to enjoy a beautiful start to the day. We keep moving but it's not a race • Recommended to bring: water, a snack, and sunscreen • Equipment: Up to you but you're responsible for your own safety. We'll stop for coffee/breakfast along the way (pay your own). This is Part 1 of our Berlin Wall Trail series. Part 2 continues from Hohen Neuendorf to Spandau later this summer! See you bright and early! 🚲

We will reschedule this if the weather is either too rainy or cold. Please check back here before going!** It has also become a tradition to finish up at one of the nice Biergartens in Potsdam!

Contra dance with Big Scioty May 2 - Clinton Heights Lutheran church
**Caller: Richard Ades** **Band: The McKenzies** **Clinton Heights Lutheran Church** **15 Clinton Heights Ave, Columbus, OH 43202** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot. For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/) Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
