Guided Game Night and Dinner for Beginners Friday D&D - Southbank
Guided Game Night and Dinner for Beginners Friday D&D - Southbank
**Beginner Dungeons & Dragons Night (No Experience Needed - Dinner)** This event is a free guided session for new attendees of our beginner D&D program in Southbank, with dinner afterwards. Come along, meet others, play and learn, and see whether Dungeons & Dragons is something you'd enjoy. If you decide it's a good fit, you'll have the opportunity to continue. There's no obligation to continue—you're welcome to simply enjoy your first session and decide afterwards. Your Game Host teaches everything, so no experience or preparation is needed. see you guys soon :) **What is this Event** This is a beginner-friendly D&D game You don’t need to know anything Most people are new We teach as we play Cooperative game **Small groups (limited spots)** Tables of 5–6 players, we wont take anymore than this to maintain a high quality of participants 12–18 total spots in total If you see a spot you can make, take it. They fill. **What happens when you arrive** You don’t need to bring anything You’ll be seated shortly after you arrive Most people come alone You will not be the only one **What you’ll do** Play a character in a fantasy story Make choices with your group Talk, explore, and solve problem Roll dice to determine your success and see what happens (usually shenanigans) Expect to share funny and memorable moments with the people in our network **What you don’t need to worry about** You don't need to know rule new people won't slow the group down Don't need to bring anything We guide you the whole way **Who this is for** You work a 9–5 or shift work, and want to meet new people after work or on weekends You enjoy fantasy stories, books or game You want to try dungeons and dragon You want a cooperative story game night that will be the highlight of your week **Frequently Asked Questions... 🕵️‍♂** **Won't everyone else already know each other?** The only people who know each other are the Dungeon Masters leading each table. We don't allow groups to attend these nights, so at most there is a duo coming who already know each other. Everyone and you are super new to this **Will I be the only girl at the event?** No, our events are generally 3:1 ratio, most tables I have seen are 2 girls and 4 guys. no promises on any individual night, but you'll find it doesn't impact your enjoyment **I'm worried I might slow everyone else down?** Not true, pre-filled character sheets take much of the guess work out of learning the game, and the GMs have all taught tens to hundreds of people this game *The only thing you'll want to remember is the "D20", a twenty sided dice is always used to resolve actions, whether it's picking a pocket, striking a wicked goblin or recalling history on a forgotten ruin* *Ok, your basically ready now. seriously* Don't believe me? Come and find out for yourself **I'm worried I might be too old/too young for this?** so here's what you'll want to know. we usually see attendees anywhere from 19-49 years of age normally it's 25-35ish as we often curate out events for young professionals and established professionals working locally But I'll say this: if you get along with a mature audience of respectful people who can collaborate together - you're in for a good time **Session information** 3-hour(ish) game- first sessions is a free trial Run by experienced Dungeon Maste 2–3 tables each night **Before the event** You may get a message from the organise Please reply to keep your spo **Attendance policy** Cancel early if you can’t make No-shows or late cancels may lose future spo **Dinner** join us for a meal at the Vietnamese restaurant hosting us. We like to hang out after the game for a bit, usually for eats and chat amongst new friends :)
Monthly Gals Walk
Monthly Gals Walk
**The Gals Monthly Walk** Replacing our women's only monthly brunch, we bring you our *Monthly Gals Walk*. As the months get cooler, and cost of living goes up, we need a place to be held accountable to getting out of bed, getting in our exercise and not spending a tonne of money we don't need to. Our monthly women's brunches have always been a space where we can be surrounded by like-minded women in a super welcoming setting, discuss important topics related to bettering ourselves and get below the surface level small talk - all whilst making some great new friends! You can still expect all of this at our monthly walks. Our *July* topic will be announced closer to the date. Bring all of your go-to tips, bring your questions you need answered and let's connect through movement and coffee. If the weather turns, we will still go ahead, just indoors at a local cafe. Make sure you follow our IG page for latest updates on events: https://www.instagram.com/findyourtribemelb/ This event is aimed at women who identify with being young spirited - typically women in their 20s, 30s and early 40s will attend, however we have also had women in their 60s and 70s. We are open to all ages 18+ as long as you identify with being female, young spirited and open minded. We can learn so much from different women at different stages of life. **Meeting Location: Baker Bleu, 183 Domain Road South Yarra.** Meet by 9am to order coffee. Walking by 9:20am.

🌿✨ For Singles, A Middle‑Suburbs Meander 15km - Anniversary Trail🌿✨
🌿✨ For Singles, A Middle‑Suburbs Meander 15km - Anniversary Trail🌿✨
🌿✨ **The** **Singles** **Only** **Middle‑Suburbs** **Meander** Fairfield → East Malvern via the Anniversary Trail Saturday 4th July, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM **Ages: 30–55** | Singles only | No married or seperated people | New couples maybe… if they’re very new **Meet**: Outside the Fairfield railway station at 11 a.m for a 11.15 am start. On the side where the trains are moving away from the city. **Cost**: $0... yes nothing **💘The** **Vibe** A flirty, whimsical winter wander for singles only — the kind of gentle, slow‑burn social chemistry that happens when you mix crisp air, shared adventure, and a trail that practically invites conversation. **Please** ***note***: **This*** **event*** ***is*** **waitlisted**. I want a balanced gender mix, i.e even numbers of girls and guys. I have a creep code operating and event expectations around no shows, read on for how that works. **Couples** are welcome only if they’re very new (the kind where you’re still pretending you don’t stalk each other’s Instagram stories). **Married** **people**: this one isn’t for you. We’re keeping the energy light, open, and romantically unencumbered. This event will be waitlisted to help maintain a roughly balanced gender mix — not a perfect science, but enough to keep the social ecosystem feeling fair and fun. 🚶‍♀️👁️ **The** **Route** A deliciously meandering 15 km journey from Fairfield Railway Station to East Malvern Railway Station, following the Anniversary Trail — a path built for bicycles but secretly perfect for flirty winter walking. **Detail here**: [https://www.railtrails.org.au/trails/outer-circle-rail-trail/](https://www.railtrails.org.au/trails/outer-circle-rail-trail/) **Expect**: Leafy suburban pockets with “I could live here” energy Sweeping shared paths ideal for side‑by‑side banter Hidden corners of the middle suburbs that feel like your own private discovery A mid‑walk lunch stop at East Camberwell — warm food, warm hands, warmer conversations. This is also the half way point at around 8km, you can exit the walk at this point and catch. train etc back into the city We finish at a café/pub in East Malvern, where the group can thaw out, mingle, and see which conversations want to keep going. **🧣Winter** **Wisdom &** **What** **to** **Bring** - Comfortable walking shoes (your feet will thank you) - Snacks + water - Warm layers — it’s winter, and Melbourne weather loves drama - A playful, open attitude - A willingness to chat with strangers who ight not stay strangers **🚶‍♀️Fitness** **and** **etiquette** I like walking at a relaxed pace around 4+km/hr It's a long walk, so make sure you can keep up and can make the distance People who speed ahead aren't really welcome, find a speed walking group instead. If you are too slow and dawdle you might be asked to leave, same goes with inappropriate behaviour. Do not turn up un announced and not on the guest list, you will be asked to leave., Check ins will be performed. No shows will likely be removed from the group. If you can't make it take yourself off the going list 💘 **Flirtation** **Guidelines** This is a social event, not a pressure cooker.Don’t be pushy about phone numbers — let the moment offer itself If the vibe is mutual, go for it Become a regular — I’ll be testing this format over 3–4 events You’ll likely see the same lovely humans again at future singles nights/events or Eat Drink Dance “open” events The goal is to build a small, recurring ecosystem where people feel comfortable, familiar, and relaxed enough to be themselves. **👥Waitlist & Gender Ratios** To keep things balanced and comfortable: Event capped at max 30 people to test interest, Generally guys admitted only after a woman registers (to maintain ratios) at my discretion until the format matures. If you become a regular I'm not so discriminating as long as you behave yourself. Women can be a little flaky (we love them anyway), so I may accept 1–2 extra **🧭The Creep** **Code** A refined social compass keeps the vibe safe, fun, and drama‑free. So: No married/seperated individuals or those already coupled up (generally) No Tinder Swindler‑style minglers **Guys**: **Please Take Special Note** - Must have a clear face photo (no sunglasses, no blurry shadows, no “mysterious man in witness protection”) - No wide shots taken from a distance where you can't be identified. - No yacht/car/jet flexing — if your profile screams “crypto‑adjacent”, you will be gently declined. - If you are declined, update your profile photo to something less creepy. **Girls**: No restrictions — privacy and safety first” ⚠️ **SMAL EVENT EXPECTATIONS ⚠️** **⏰Late Arrivals** **The event starts on time.** - More than 15 minutes late without communication = No‑show - More than 30 minutes late (even with communication) = Not admitted = No Show - We do not endlessly wait at meeting points. If you’re late, you must find the group yourself. - Messages are not monitored after 30 minutes. - This protects the experience for people who arrive on time **👻 No‑Shows** No‑shows block waitlisted people from attending and disrupt small-group events. - Remove yourself at least 24 hours before the event. - No‑shows will likely be removed and blocked from the group. - Last‑minute cancellations (“flaking”) may also result in group removal, especially when there is a waitlist. 👀 **Attending** **Without** **Being** **on** **the** **Going** **List** - This is a security issue. - **Do** **NOT** **turn** **up** **unannounced**. - If you’re not on the Going list and haven’t arranged it with the organiser beforehand, you will be asked to leave. - Event check‑ins are performed. **🌱Why** **This** **Event** **Exists** A few people have asked me to run something for singles, and Meetup is already full of solo attendees. Dating apps feel like a minefield, and IRL conversations tend to be and are rare and sometimes awkward. So this is an experiment — a soft‑launch into a more human, more organic way of meeting people for singles..

Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Learning from Everyday Data
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Learning from Everyday Data
**Practical Curiosity: Learning from Everyday Data** How do we actually get better at utilizing our day-to-day data? Fancy dashboards and complex models might look nice and draw attention, but that’s not where most of us spend our time. In fact those shiny outputs frequently sit unused, while the real insights are drawn from the analyst’s daily practice. Sometimes it’s as simple and as powerful as noticing that a segment is shrinking, a channel is underused, or certain links keep getting all the clicks. There’s many different places that the spark of insight can come from, but you have to keep your head in the data and know where to look. In this session, we’ll explore real-world examples of how segmentation, testing, and click behavior can uncover practical digital marketing opportunities. You’ll leave with inspiration for your own use cases, along with a few simple ways to ask better questions, spot meaningful patterns, and make smarter decisions without overcomplicating it. **About Our Speaker:** [Elaine Armbruster](https://www.linkedin.com/in/elainearmbruster/) is a Director of Digital Experience at the [American Diabetes Association](https://diabetes.org/), where she focuses on using data and insights to create smarter, more effective digital experiences. A lifelong Columbus resident, she has built her career in email marketing and the broader digital user journey, and is finding she most enjoys working in the messy middle where systems, data, and big ideas don’t quite line up yet.
