WE'RE UPSTAIRS Hey everyone - Kieran has asked me to post this as he has a migraine at the moment so get well soon Kieran! I (Julius) am hosting a comedy show on Thursday in Southwark that Kieran and a few other neurodivergent friends are coming to and as it's a really fun show. I suggested why not stick it here and people can come along to the comedy **FOR FREE!** Kieran will be around from 6 in the downstairs of the White Hart Pub in Southwark (SE1 0UG) and the show starts at 7.30 until around 9.30 (with a break). There are some really funny acts on and it will be a nice way to see people! You don't need to stay for the whole show if you have to go. The show finishes at 9.30 as I know a lot of people need to get home for an early start on Friday (myself and Kieran included). Anyway, please do come along! You don't need to buy tickets as I'll be doing the door and it's FREE.

Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
