**Business Analysis in AWS IAM Access Analyzer**
Speaker: Hazra Ali
Level: 100
Business analysis plays a crucial role in helping organisations implement change to address challenges and leverage solutions that deliver value. AWS IAM Access Analyzer helps organisations grant precise permissions as requirements evolve, guiding users toward least privilege by enabling them to set, verify, and refine permissions.
In this presentation, Hazra will explore how business analysis practices can enhance the effectiveness of IAM Access Analyzer when solving real-world problems. The session will also discuss how AI can support business analysis workflows and assist in understanding the core concepts behind IAM Access Analyzer.
***
**Reinforcing Resilience in the Real World with Static Stability, Fault Isolation and Multiple Regions**
Speaker: Anshika Gupta
Level: 200
At AWS, resilience is viewed as a continuous process, built on years of experience working with customers operating critical workloads.
In this session, Anshika will explore how to design systems using AWS fault isolation boundaries and the concept of static stability to achieve predictable recovery times and high availability.
Youāll learn:
⢠How AWS Regions are designed and operated for resilience
⢠Key architectural patterns AWS services use to maintain operations during disruptions
⢠How static stability helps maintain availability under failure conditions
⢠Practical architecture patterns for building multi-region resilience
This session will showcase design principles, best practices, and example architectures that can help you meet your resilience requirements for mission-critical workloads.

The Secret Lives of Colour - March 2026 Big Ideas Book Club
**The Secret Lives of Colour, by Kassia St Clair**
The Secret Lives of Colour tells the unusual stories of the 75 most fascinating shades, dyes and hues. From blonde to ginger, the brown that changed the way battles were fought to the white that protected against the plague, Picassoās blue period to the charcoal on the cave walls at Lascaux, acid yellow to kelly green, and from scarlet women to imperial purple, these surprising stories run like a bright thread throughout history.
In this book Kassia St Clair has turned her lifelong obsession with colours and where they come from (whether Van Goghās chrome yellow sunflowers or punkās fluorescent pink) into a unique study of human civilisation. Across fashion and politics, art and war, The Secret Lives of Colour tell the vivid story of our culture.

## A Space to Pause, Reflect, and Let Go
Sometimes in life we carry things quietly inside us.
Old emotions.
Unspoken words.
Past experiences.
Stress, heartbreak, grief, or simply the weight of moving through the world.
We keep going, often without giving ourselves the space to truly process what weāve been holding.
This evening is an invitation to **pause**.
To breathe.
To reconnect with yourself.
And if you feel ready ā to gently release what you no longer need to carry.
The last **9 Senses Awakening Healing Circle** I hosted became one of the most beautiful and meaningful gatherings Iāve experienced. Many people shared that it gave them a rare moment to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.
Because of that experience, Iāve felt called to create this space again.
This event is **open to everyone** and **not limited to singles**. Anyone who feels drawn to a quiet evening of reflection, awareness, and personal growth is warmly welcome.
## The 9 Senses Awakening
Throughout the evening we will explore awareness through **nine layers of human perception**.
The physical senses
⢠Sight
⢠Sound
⢠Smell
⢠Taste
⢠Touch
The inner senses
⢠Intuition
⢠Emotional awareness
The subtle senses
⢠Energy (vibration and presence)
⢠Spiritual connection
Through simple guided practices, breath awareness, and mindful reflection, we reconnect with these senses ā helping us return to presence and inner clarity.
## Healing Circle & Sharing
This evening is held in a **healing circle**, creating a space where everyone is seen, heard, and respected.
There is **no pressure to speak**. You are welcome to simply listen and be present.
For those who wish to share, the circle allows space for reflection and connection with others who may be navigating their own journeys.
## Fire Ritual ā Letting Go
Toward the end of the evening we will take part in a **symbolic fire ritual**.
Participants will be invited to write down something they are ready to release ā a past story, emotional weight, fear, resentment, or something that has been quietly sitting in their hearts.
As the paper burns, we symbolically allow that chapter to transform.
Many people describe this moment as **deeply moving and liberating**.
## What to Expect
⢠A calm and supportive environment
⢠Guided sensory awareness and reflection
⢠A healing circle and optional sharing
⢠A symbolic fire ritual for release
⢠A small and intimate group experience
No previous experience with meditation or healing circles is required.
Simply bring yourself, exactly as you are.
## Hosted by Vivienne Vu
Vivienne Vu is passionate about creating spaces for reflection, emotional awareness, and authentic human connection.
Her work focuses on helping people reconnect with themselves, release emotional weight, and move forward in life with greater clarity and intention.

## Important Note
This healing circle is designed for **personal reflection and awareness**.
It is **not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment**.

We encourage our members to support anime artists and producers by purchasing their movies or any full series should they wish to watch the endings.
**Some insight for newer members:**
It's a natural process to feel a little anxious attending a large event you have never experienced before. During sign ins our hosting team will naturally be busy however our meet & greet volunteers will do their best to say 'Hello' to everyone and perhaps connect you to others. If for some reason this does not happen (because it's really busy), don't fret! Our ice breaker games are designed to help everyone bond over a shared experience. You should expect adults having fun and letting lose whilst being challenged to push some comfort zones which we invite you to do as well! The games are suppose to be silly to help people come out of comfort zones and get to know someone new. We will then take a break to watch anime and we really do encourage you to stay for games after dinner which is when our team gets a breather and a good chance to get to know our newer members better in a quieter setting! We have witnessed many wonderful long term friendships formed at MAC amongst our members - We do hope you join us!
**THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS**
A big thank you to everyone who RSVPs - This money helps with the club's upkeep and hiring of the venue! We are completely NOT-FOR-PROFIT and we sincerely appreciate your contributions!! Raffle tickets will be available on the day to further support our MAC community!!

Filmonik Kino-Kabaret 2026 ā A 72-hour filmmaking challenge
The Filmonik Kino-Kabaret is our yearly all-you-can-film buffet of spontaneous creativity, where participants collaborate on as many short films as they can, in a shared production hub called the Kinolab, at Balam Balam Place in Brunswick. This 72+hour jam-session of filmmaking is followed by the premiere screening party of all short films that have been produced. It's fun, it's epic, it's chaotic, it's challenging, you meet heaps of new people and get attached on-the-spot to many productions just by hanging out in the hub. We're fiercely non-competitive so it's a celebration of films of all styles and scope, not a competition with creative restrictions. No teams set are to be set in advance, and writers and directors come to the Friday production meeting with a script ready to go or can improvise all weekend with the other participants. The magic should happen with the cast and crew participating and present in the hub. Short films can get written, shot and edited all in and around the hub. It's not a requirement but it's how you can learn more, challenge yourself, get help when you need it, and hop on anyone else's project to try something new.

Discount Tuesday: THEY WILL KILL YOU at the Gateway Film Center!
Join us as we get together for a Discount Tuesday / Choose Your Movie event to see your choice of two great films! Option 1 is the dark comedy/drama based on a true story TOW! The film stars Rose Byrne as a homeless Seattle woman how battles a towing company. Option 2 is the off-the-rails, over-the-top, action-comedy-horror THEY WILL KILL YOU! The film stars Zazie Beetz as a woman who answers a help wanted ad to be a housekeeper in a mysterious New York City high-rise not knowing its mysterious past! Here are details, trailers and our plan for this event:
TOW: This dark comedy/drama is based on a true story and follows a homeless Seattle woman who fights her way out of "tow-company hell" to reclaim the car that had held her life together after receiving a tow bill for $21,634. The film stars Rose Byrne, Ariana DeBose, Demi Lovato, Octavia Spencer, Dominic Sessa, Elsie Fisher and Simon Rex! The film premiered to solid reviews at last yearās Tribeca Film Festival where critics declared, āTOW is a winner!ā Itās āa story of perseverance, heart, and real fight, the kind of small human story we see less frequently these days, but need now more than ever.ā TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdkpcsuPAhA
THEY WILL KILL YOU: A woman takes a job as a housekeeper in a NYC high-rise, unaware of the building's history of disappearances. She soon realizes the community is shrouded in mystery. The film is directed by Kirill Sokolov and Zadie Beetz, Myha'la, Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, and Patricia Arquette. The film is being released immediately following its premiere at this yearās SXSW Festival earlier this month. Early reviews say itās āan adrenaline rush of action-packed fights, tons of blood and gore and plenty of laugh-out-loud momentsā and a movie thatās āunafraid to march to its own campy, violent, and clever little drummer!ā TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYqQPiXpi4w
PLAN: Not exactly a āChoose Your Movieā event, more like an early show and a late one (or both if youāre feeling sparky)!
\* If youād like to see TOW, please purchase your ticket for the 5:00pm showing and meet in the upstairs lobby between 4:40 and 4:50pm!
\* If you plan to see THEY WILL KILL YOU, please purchase your ticket for the 7:45pm showing and meet in the upstairs lobby between 7:25 and 7:35pm!
\* Tickets for both films on sale now and advance purchase is advised! Tickets just $5.00 ($6.50 after online fees when purchased via the GFC website). Once you have yours, please list your movie of choice and seat number in the Comments section of this event.
\* Also, as a reminder, close, convenient parking available in the nearby garage (Between 9th and 11th, just off High) and just $2 when you have your ticket validated at the theater!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
Arthouse Friday: THE DRAMA at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us as we get together for an Arthouse Movie Friday event to see the A24 dark comedy /romance / psychological-thriller, THE DRAMA! The film stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as a happily engaged couple whose relationship is challenged when one discovers unsettling truths about the other. Here are details, a trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: The film follows a happily engaged couple whose relationship is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails. The film comes from A24, is written/directed by Kristoffer Borgli stars Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates and Zoƫ Winters.
QUICK WORD OF WARNING: The film hasnāt screened for critics yet and most of the details are being kept tightly under wraps. But, early buzz (possibly promotional) says the film is a brilliant psychological thriller/romance but also provocative, twisty and some contains occasional uncomfortable viewing! I love the cast and trailer, so look forward to seeing for ourselves!
ZENDAYA-PATTINSON TRIFECTA CHALLENGE: Robert Pattinson and Zendaya will star in THREE movies together this year, including THE DRAMA, Christopher Nolanās THE ODYSSEY this Summer and Denis Villeneuveās DUNE: PART THREE at Christmas!
TRAILER: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zmKcUa4Xxk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zmKcUa4Xxk)
PLAN: Weāll plan for 7pm-ish showing and will meet in the lobby area about 30 minutes before showtime! Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but early arrival is advised. Possibly post-movie get-together at the nearby Rusty Bucket! Complete details will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer.
Take care and look forward to seeing you there, Dan

In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
**Complex Trauma Support Group**
Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, itās likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most peopleāāto family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you.
We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD.
**What to expect at your first meeting:**
Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to groupās relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge.
We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit.
Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. Youāre also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time.
The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone. We wish for our efforts to be a cause of kindness in our own lives and the lives of each other.
You can read more about the groups at www.kindgroups.com.
