**Spring is here and to make the most of the amazing colours of the season starting to come into bloom, we've got your Sunday sorted with our latest Social Walk and Pub trip!** And for this month's social walk, we'll be hiking from Southwark Park to Waterloo. To kick things off in Southwark Park - you'll be allocated a group/team for an initial mix of fun games designed to help you break the ice and get to know your fellow walkers a little better. We’ll then set off on our 2-3 hour hike wandering past the serene channels and lakes of Canada Water, Stave Hill Ecological Park and the wild and rustic Russia Dock Woodland. We will before heading west along the River Thames to Waterloo, past some of the many of the famous sights of the capital, such as the Tower of London, London Bridge and Shakespeare's Globe. Best of all, we’ll be ending up at one of our favourite pubs near the Southbank, where we’ll be dusting off our **huge collection of board games for you to enjoy.** And so you’ll be able to rest your legs and have a couple of drinks, get to know your fellow 20s and 30s, and play some games. The South Downs lie almost a degree of latitude south from London, so Spring arrives earlier. Flowers bloom, lambs are born, and before the Equinox the daylight sun shines longer. So head south - to the pretty village of Pyecombe to welcome Spring. Pyecombe has something for everyone; *The Plough* nestles near the Wayfield farm shop and cafe which has locally sourced goodies. The 12th-C church grounds offer a peaceful spot for sandwiches. The name derives from Old English *pīc* for peak and *coomb* is a scooped valley hollow, a typical chalkland feature. And in this spirit the walk will be hills, interspersed by rests in the village. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily.
