View English version below Hola, ¿Quién se anima a correr o caminar en Barceloneta mientras el sol nace? **#¿Qué hacemos?** Quedamos delante de Buenas Migas de Barceloneta. Después de un breve calentamiento, unos salimos a correr y otros van a caminar. Todos, nos reunimos al final para charlar mientras algunos aprovechan de un buen chapuzón en el mar (opcional - traer bañador y toalla si os animáis). Con los que no tienen prisa vamos a tomar un café/desayuno después. **#¿Qué nivel necesitas?** Ninguno, no importa si lo que te gusta es caminar, si estas empezando en el mundo del running o si eres un(a) campeón(a), estas bienvenid@. En general, somos entre 10 y 25 personas. Nos reunimos al principio y al final de la actividad, pero nos dividimos en 3 o 4 grupos más pequeños en función de nuestros ritmos y de las distancias que queremos hacer. We all meet again at the end to chat while some of us enjoy a refreshing splash in the sea (optional - bring a swimsuit and towel if you’re in). For those who are not in a hurry, we then go to have a coffee / breakfast close by. **#What level of running/walking is required?** None, it does not matter if what you like is walking, if you are a beginner runner or if you are a champion, you are welcome, and you won’t get lost. In general, we are between 10 and 25 people. We meet at the beginning and at the end of the activity, but we divide ourselves into 3 or 4 smaller groups according to our pace and the distances we want to run/walk. Gentle one-to-one sessions to help you slow down, relax, and reconnect with the present moment. After a long day, sometimes what we need most is simply to rest, fully, without agenda. These indoor Reiki sessions are offered as a quiet space to do exactly that. En Barcelona todavía quedan barrios y **rincones interesantes sin guiris, agobios ni masificación.** Así pues, os proponemos un paseo guiado por el Clot i el antiguo núcleo de **Sant Martí de Provençals**, para conocer y comprender cómo se formó esta parte de la ciudad, popular, obrera y ligada a la industrialización. En el **Clot**, recorreremos su casco viejo, sin coches y agradable, para ver las plácidas calles peatonales alrededor del mercado (conocido por tener buenas pescaterías), el **Parc del Clo**t y los **viejos talleres de Renfe,** o el **antiguo ayuntamiento del municipio**. Y en Sant Martí, nos adentraremos en el pasado popular y reivindicativo de este barrio, construído en **los 50 y 60**, y que ha marcado la historia reciente de toda la ciudad. En él, La Caixa de Pensiones construyó los primeros bloques de pisos de esta nueva Barcelona, un experimento arquitectónico que marcaría el urbanismo de muchos barrios periféricos. Pero entre estas **enormes construcciones,** nos adentraremos en lo que queda del pasado rural del barrio, para llegar hasta **la iglesia de Sant Martí de Provençals**. Una pequeña joya gótica que se conserva escondida y perdida, en medio de estos gigantes bloques de cemento. Una ruta distinta, **alternativa y curiosa** que nos acercará a una Barcelona más real, auténtica y cercana. ¡Seguro que te sorprenderá! Who needs history books when you have cemeteries marking waves of migration, settlement, epidemics, and war casualties? On this 6-mile walk we’ll pay respects to Rockville’s famous son, F. Scott Fitzgerald, visit headstones bearing the names of streets and schools, and stroll through historic African American neighborhoods and streets that witnessed civil war and civil rights history. Other highlights include pristine historical homes, an infamous asylum, and the misplaced monument, hidden in plain sight. Wind thru quiet woods and past well-kept homes that are so inviting! The spring flowers are especially beautiful this year! Trails featured are 5 or 10 km (3.1 or 6.2 miles) and have some elevation gain. 10km walkers can visit the Burke Centre Farmers Market for fresh produce and sweet treats (Saturdays 8 am - noon). Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy the weather! We meet Saturdays at 10am, halfway between the Reston *Container Store* and *Not Your Average Joes* (by the metal benches), leaving no later than 10:05. Every week, rain or shine, we start by walking along the Green Trail to reach Lake Anne Community Center. Once there, we pause for water/bio (often staying a few minutes extra from April-November, due to the local Farmer's Market), and then we circle Lake Anne and head back to our starting point. It's roughly 3-4 miles and takes about an hour and a half. Afterwards, some members will often head to *Not Your Average Joes* or another local restaurant for a quick drink/meal before tackling the day. This event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Dogs are welcome, and we recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll walk rain or shine. Also, feel free to bring a friend! The trail is **mostly flat**, but a **246-foot incline within Great Falls Park** will give us a fun little cardio challenge. Don’t worry - we’ll pause at the top to regroup, hydrate, and catch our breath while soaking in the views. Whether you're here for the exercise, the scenery, or the chance to meet like-minded people, this hike has something for everyone! This trail is packed with sights: enjoy picturesque views along Difficult Run Stream and breathtaking overlooks of the Potomac River from up high. We’ll even come across a picnic table at the top of one incline, the perfect spot to rest, take in the view, and soak up some good vibes! Breaks are regular but not overly frequent, allowing for a balanced experience of exercise and enjoyment. **Parking** Plenty of parking is available.
