Brussels Runners - Tuesday Intervals
We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive load, and a recovery week at the end of the cycle.
Session:
* 10 - 20’ warm up (easy run and drills)
* Core session :
* 2 x (200m + 300m + 400m + 300m + 200m)
* Cool down
We run together during Warm-up, and cool down and tey to regroup during recovery time. Paces are not imposed (everyone runs at his/her own pace) given the intensity suggested.
Notes:
It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the session, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle, or it will be distance based)
Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'15"/km so this pace should feel very comfortable

It often starts with a vague or uncertain brief. This talk explores how co-defining the brand and design strategy leads to stronger ideas, faster decisions, and better design outcomes.

[Marjan Geerts](https://www.linkedin.com/in/marjanatsrimigeerts/), UX researcher, UX designer & trainer @uxcoach.be

Rouge Run Club : Saturday Easy Run - 5km
Hi,
Brussels Runners is also accessible as a club on Strava where you can sign up for the same events. ([Strava Event](https://www.strava.com/clubs/1211350/group_events/2021351))
Join us for our weekly Saturday run at 10 am at Bois de la Cambre !
We run 5 kms around Bois de la Cambre divided in one bigger lap of 3,5 kms and a smaller one of 1,5 kms.
Both start and end at the Woodpecker so, if needed, you can stop there after the first lap.
Our goal is to make running more accessible, for that, the pace is very beginner friendly which is around 06:30-07:00 min/km.
Let's all have a drink after and chat at the Woodpecker of Bois de la Cambre.
Excited to see you there,
Rouge Run Club

Meet up and knit or crochet while having a coffee or tea
. Find us on Facebook to see what's actually happening. Bring your own knitting or crochet project and join other people who enjoy yarn crafts for a relaxing couple of hours on Saturday afternoons.
The 1st Saturday of the month is not an in-person meet-up, but on zoom. All people and all levels welcome, including beginners, whom we are happy to help get started (although we don't run classes). No charge. All you need is some yarn and a crochet hook or a pair of knitting needles. We are very friendly so don't be shy. The venue may change from time to time so please check back on the day before the event to be sure you have it right. We mostly speak English, but people in the group are very international and speak many languages. Looking forward to seeing you.
Intervals Workout Session 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻 Bois de la Cambre
We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive intensity, and the last session is lighter.
Program:
15’ warm up
**To be defined**
Cool down to get back to the starting point… or more
S=All out sprint
RF = Run fast, at MAS (Maximum aerobic speed)
CF = Run comfortably fast (1h threshold)
J = Jog, recuperation
Notes:
It should take about one hour in total, as the cool down will end when we reach back to the meeting point.
It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the program, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle.
For the "run" part, you can follow your own pace and we'll be regrouping in the "jog" part.
Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'/km so this pace should feel very comfortable

🏰 The Hidden Waterfall Castle: Winter Adventure at Reinhardstein
Join us for a trip to one of Belgium’s most dramatic "secret" spots! Often compared to a Game of Thrones location, Reinhardstein Castle sits on a jagged rock deep in the Warche Valley.
Since it’s the first weekend of February, we are aiming for that moody, atmospheric winter vibe. We’ll explore the medieval fortress, see Belgium’s highest waterfall (60m!), and warm up afterwards with some local food.
Here is what to expect:
* 🚆 Train: We take the 10:01 train from Gare Centrale to Eupen then transfer to bus.
* 🌲 The Hike: A short but steep descent through the forest to reach the castle gates.
* 🏰 The Tour: A guided visit inside the fortress (Armour, tapestries, and medieval history).
* 💧 The Waterfall: A walk to the base of the cascade which might be frozen or flowing heavy with winter rain.
* 🥞 Post-Hike Warm Up: Since it is Chandeleur (Pancake) weekend, we’ll stop at a local tavern nearby for crêpes, waffles, or a hot drink before heading back!

• Show up and try it out.
• Complete application, etc. later.
Normal process

The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
