Shut Up & Write!® Thursdays @Café Pierre
Join us for a writing session! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 18:00 on Thursdays at Café Pierre.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
18:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros.
18:15- timer starts
20:00 - (the end) chat / take off / keep writing / discussion group meeting.
Café Pierre closes at 24:00
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens when we're finished and before the writing session starts. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and join us!
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you at Café Pierre!
What Should I Bring?
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.
Other Important Details:
INTERNET: There is WLAN in the café. The staff will tell you the password if you ask them, or just ask me.
TRAVEL / PARKING: U3 Neubaugasse, U4 Kettenbrückengasse. If you drive there, remember that Kurzparkzone applies.
SEATING INFORMATION: plenty of seats available. It's the big oval table inside, but if the weather is nice in the summertime, we may be found outside.
GUIDELINES: Please thank our hosts by purchasing something.
Other information: There is no registration process for this meetup. Just click on the meetup you want to attend and then click on the red button "Teilnehmen" or "attend". If that doesn't work, you can attend the writing session anyway.
PO Club #2 – AI, now what? powered by SQUER
**Our second Product Owner Club is coming up and this time we’re diving into one of the biggest shifts currently reshaping our roles as product people: AI.**
We’re excited to be **sponsored by** **SQUER**
**📍 [Althanstraße 4/3/63, 1090 Wien](https://maps.app.goo.gl/zysnKBZEobcA2pHz5)**
**Thank you for helping the product community come together!**
**Agenda:**
🕕 18:00 — Doors open & welcome
🎤 18:30 — Session #1: Alexander Schwingenschrot
🎤 19:15 — Session #2: Maurizio Rinder & Julian Tandler
🍕 20:00 — Networking with drinks & pizza
**Session #1 by Alexander Schwingenschrot – Senior Consultant / AI-Manager @ adesso Austria GmbH**
**The Product Owner as an "Intellectual Tourist"? How Psychological Safety Rescues Our Critical Thinking from AI.**
You know the feeling: The backlog is overflowing, pressure is high, and suddenly GenAI generates your user stories, acceptance criteria, and market analyses in seconds. Sounds like a dream, right? The ticket is ready, let the sprint begin.
But what happens when we switch our thinking to "autopilot"? We risk becoming mere "middle managers of our own thoughts," outsourcing the hard work of critical thinking to an algorithm. AI makes us incredibly fast—but without true psychological safety within the team to challenge the machine (and each other), we degrade into mere rubber-stampers. That’s not just dangerous for the product; it fundamentally alters the core of what Product Ownership is all about.
In his talk, Alexander breaks down:
* why AI becomes an innovation killer without a culture that embraces failure (Automation Bias),
* what the "Intellectual Tourist" concept actually means for your daily Product Discovery, and
* how you as a PO can maintain "Meaningful Human Control" without sacrificing the speed of AI.
**Session #2 by Maurizio Rinder, Lead Product Engineer @ SQUER & Julian Tandler, Principal Consultant Product Management @ SQUER**
**What If the Answer to Every Feature Debate Was "Let's Find Out This Week"? A PM's Guide to AI in 2026**
You know the drill: Three stakeholders, three opinions, no data. Everyone argues about what to build next, and two months later only a handful of people used the feature. But what if "let's just find out" was a real answer? When AI makes building cheap, you can stop debating and start testing. That's not just a new tool in your PM toolkit, it's a structural shift in what the role is about.
In his talk,
* Julian breaks down what's actually changing, and goes hands-on with real examples,
* Before Maurizio makes the case why this redefines what it means to be a developer, too.
**Like last time, the sessions will be hands-on and interactive. There will be space to discuss, challenge, and exchange with fellow colleagues.**
We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones to the community.
**Connect**... get to learn peers from different industries.
**Learn**... how other Product Leaders deal with different situations.
**Profit**... from shared experiences and thrive even more in your role.
**Please be fair and only click “attend” on Meetup if you’re truly planning to join, so we can plan foods and drinks accordingly.** Last time we had a **show-rate of 92%**, let's keep this up 😃
**Best regards, Alex & Miriam**

Vortrag: Kleidung als Zeichensystem – What's Missing? (Deutsch)

Prompt vs. Paintbrush
AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s?
This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation?
We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.

Rethinking Knowledge Work in the Age of AI
We invite you to an in-person session in Seattle exploring the real impact of AI on knowledge-driven industries — from shifting economics and the disruption of traditional SaaS and consulting models to where organizations can still build lasting competitive advantage.

We’ll discuss practical strategies for integrating AI while preserving human expertise, along with actionable approaches to upskilling teams for an AI-driven workplace. Drawing on real-world experience from training thousands of professionals and deploying AI solutions, this session will provide clear, applicable insights for today’s evolving landscape.
Following a short presentation, the session will open into an interactive discussion where attendees can share perspectives and explore key questions around the evolving role of humans, organizational adaptation, and staying competitive in an AI-first world.

What If Your AI Could Be a Team? - Chad Green
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.

The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
A WiA Collective Wisdom Exchange
At the start of this year, we gathered to look back, set intentions, and imagine the next chapter.
This is the follow-up.
Not a check-in. Not a progress report. A small, facilitated circle to reconnect with what you said mattered — and honestly explore what’s actually happening now.
Together, we’ll explore:
• What you intended at the start of this year - and what that looks like three months in
• What’s surprised you, supported you, or shifted
• What the next chapter needs now that you know what you know
If you were at our January gathering, bring whatever you made or wrote — your word, your artifact, your intention. We’ll look at it with fresh eyes. If this is your first time, you belong here too. You’ll start where we all started: with what’s true right now.
Optional art materials will be available for anyone who wants to reflect creatively alongside conversation. If you brought something home from January, you’re warmly invited to bring it back.
The intention is the same as always: everyone leaves feeling more clear, more connected, and a little lighter.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate.
What to Expect
• A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup)
• Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak
• Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving
• Optional creative reflection alongside conversation
• A calm, supportive environment
Who This Is For
Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for honest conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords.
Good to Know
• No preparation required
• If you attended in January, we invite you to bring anything you created or wrote (or something that represents your intention at the start of the year) - it’s optional but invited
• Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome
• Creative activities are optional
