Wellness Wonder: Mini Yoga Retreat @Repulse Bay
Wellness Wonder: Mini Yoga Retreat @Repulse Bay
★ **This is a paid Community Event** ★ We will enjoy the public holiday (Dragon Boat Festival, 19 June, Friday) with a mini yoga retreat, slowing down together to connect body and mind with nature while enjoying each other’s company. A short escape from the city streets, yet still close to home, this is a gentle mix of walking, yoga, sightseeing, and good conversation. **What we will do** ● Meet at Admiralty Station Exit C1 (street level) at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to greet the group; we will leave at 9:00 a.m. sharp. ● A mostly shady forest hike of about 2 hours, with beautiful views along the way. ● Beach fun, fitness games, and playful yoga with a Dragon Boat theme on the sand. ● Lounging, swimming, social time, and a relaxed picnic on the beach (bring your own food or buy something nearby). **Who this mini retreat is for** ● People who want a calm, nature‑based reset without leaving Hong Kong. ● Anyone new to yoga or returning after a break who prefers a gentle, friendly setting. ● People who are visiting Hong Kong or are new in town and want a different experience beyond the usual sightseeing. ● Those who enjoy light hiking, greenery, and exploring quieter corners of the city. ● People who enjoy meeting others, socializing in a relaxed way, and connecting with fellow movement and wellness practitioners. **Event fee: HKD 250** ☆ This fee includes a themed fitness + yoga class, guided hike, one beverage per person, and small group snacks to share ☆ This fee does not include transportation, additional food beyond the shared snack, or your own insurance. ☆ This mini yoga retreat works best with at least 8 participants; if we do not reach that number, the retreat will be rescheduled to a later date. **How to reserve your seat** 1. RSVP on Meetup. 2. Send payment via PayMe or FPS to 9177 1700 with the note: “Your name_Mini Yoga Retreat 20260619”. 3. Your spot is confirmed after payment. If payment is not received within 48 hours of your RSVP, you will be moved to the waitlist so that spaces can be offered to others who are ready to join. **What to bring / wear** ● Your own yoga mat. A beach towel or picnic mat is also fine and may be easier to carry along the hike. ● A small towel for stretching. ● Comfortable clothing and walking / hiking shoes. ● Water, sun protection, and your own snack, picnic food, or something small to share if you wish. ● Swimwear and a change of clothes if you plan to go for a dip. **RSVP, refund & cancellation** ● Limited spaces – please only RSVP if you’re fairly sure you can come, and update your RSVP if your plans change. ● Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event can be refunded or moved to another Mini Yoga Retreat. ● Cancellations within 48 hours or no‑shows are non‑refundable, as the spot has been held and planning is already done. ● Repeated no‑shows for Wellness Wonder events may lead to restrictions for future mini retreats and small yoga outings, so we can keep space for active participants. Thank you for understanding and for respecting each other’s time and energy. 💚 **Disclaimer** By signing up and attending this event, you acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily in an outdoor activity (including walking, hiking, and yoga) and are responsible for your own health and safety. Beaverdam Reservoir Park & Lark Brewing Co.
Beaverdam Reservoir Park & Lark Brewing Co.
We will be hiking the loop trail, (counter clockwise) around the BeaverDam Reservoir starting at the brand new Reservoir Park VisitorsCenter. Beautiful views of the water and varied woodland areas. This is an 7.5 MILE loop hike around one of Northern Virginia's largest bodies of water. The loop is mainly flat with a tiny hill or two. I've rated the loop moderate because the distance is 7.5 miles and we will be hiking about 22 minutes per mile - just under 3 miles per hour. After the hike we'll head over to Lark Brewing. 24205 James Monroe Hwy, Aldie, VA 20105 for food and beverages. I will make every effort for your safety. You are hiking at your own risk. Dogs are welcome on the hike as long as they are good with groups, friendly and you follow all leash laws. I like kids but this is an adult event so please no kids or any one under 21. We do start on time so please plan accordingly. Meet in front of the bathrooms by the parking lot. Reschedule: Backpack - Mount Rogers (22 Miles) - 3 Days
**IMPORTANT -** If you are not 100% committed please do ***not RSVP.*** No shows will be de-propritized for future events. We got rained out on Memorial day - so let's try this again on July 4th weekend! The Mount Rogers/Grayson Highlands loop hike is an iconic section of the Appalachian Trail, located in the southwestern hills of Virginia within the Jefferson National Forest. This region is best known for its vast mountain views and alpine peaks with **wild ponies** roaming about. This area is also home to Virginia's highest point, Mount Rogers, sitting at 5,729'. I will drive and am happy to have others carpool with me - but please note, I will have my small black labrador in the back seat. **Day 1** After we park, we will hike about 7 miles to our campsite, diverting once to summit Mt Rogers. There arent any views here, but it's worth the .3 miles to say you've been to the highest point in VA! We will camp on the first night at the scenic tent sites near the Thomas Knob Shelter on the AT. There is water at this site and we may see wild ponies if we're lucky. **Day 2** The second day is about 10.7 miles, which includes spectacular views, unique rock formations and wide open grassy meadows. A backpacking trip in this area will expose you to a very diverse and unique landscape with sphagnum bogs, grassy meadows lined by spruce trees, wind-carved boulders, and beautiful mountain vistas.
