**WHY GO?**
What better way to experience the Aurora Borealis aka Northern lights than in the city of northern lights, Alta. In Norwegian, Eventyr means both 'adventure' and 'fairy tale.' This is the perfect word to describe Alta, as it is a perfect place for active adventures in the mountains, forests and fjords that are reminiscent of fairy tale landscapes. The cold and long winters provide excellent conditions for dog sledding, skiing, snowmobiling, and other adventure activities. A modern city in Northern Norway surrounded by the arctic tundra and mountains, Alta is the ideal combination of natural and urban elements.
The celestial dance of lights, known as Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, is a phenomena as old as Earthâs atmosphere. The first record of Aurora Borealis is believed to be in a 30,000-year-old cave painting in France. Since then, cultures around the world have marveled at its magic, giving rise to many fascinating legends and folklore.
In Norway alone, symbols linked to the northern lights are found on the SĂĄmi shamanistic drum. They call it âGuovssahas,â i.e. âthe light that can be heard.â During the Viking Age, the northern lights were said to be the armor of the Valkyrie warrior virgins that shed a strange flickering light. Today, locals respectfully refer to the lights as âthe green lady.â

Valentines Special - Connection: Mindful Movement & Drawing (DE/ENG) 90 Min.
Connect with someone special (a partner, best friend, or simply yourself) in our special edition of **[Connection: Mindful Movement and Drawing](https://www.juancarlosrosacasasola.com/workshops/connection).** Whether you come alone or with someone close, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore self-awareness, relationships, and identity through creative and sensory exploration.
**What to Expect:** A combination of Tai Chi/Qigong-inspired exercises, intuitive gentle movement meditation, and experimental portrait drawing. This immersive experience invites you to deepen your connection with your own body and reflect on how we see ourselves and others. In a supportive and inclusive space, participants will explore both individual and shared perspectives, cultivating empathy, introspection, and meaningful connections.
**Body awareness and shared space:** We will start with a short Tai Chi/Chigong session to focus on our personal body awareness and space awareness, followed by mindful movement and shared group exercises.
**Whispering presence and partner portraits:** Through meditation, reflect on where or when you feel most connected, whether with yourself or with your special one. Youâll then take turns drawing experimental portraits of one another, inspired by this introspection.
**Life-size experimental portraits:** How do you see yourself, and how do others see you? What's our ideal self? If you come with someone, youâll explore these questions together by creating life-size portraits that reflect your bond. If you come alone, youâll dive deeper into your self-perception, creating a portrait that embodies the several dimensions of your self-awareness.
Whether you're looking to strengthen a romantic relationship, deepen a friendship, or simply enjoy a creative day by your self, this Valentine's Day edition workshop offers a unique opportunity to celebrate love, creativity and self-discovery in a supportive and inclusive environment.
**All Levels Welcome.** No prior knowledge of drawing or movement techniques is required - the focus is on personal discovery and shared experience, not technique.
**What to Bring:**
Comfortable clothes for gentle movement
**Drop-in âŹ18.** Book this session like a regular class via the Dharma Studios app or via [Urban Sports Club](https://urbansportsclub.com/de/venues/dharma-studios-berlin).

Gentle Flow & Sound Bath
This nourishing 60-minute session blends a gentle, feel-good yoga flow with immersive sound healing to help you move, breathe, and soften back into yourself.
We begin with a slow, intuitive flow designed to release tension, awaken the body, and create a sense of ease and fluidity. Movements are accessible and adaptable, focusing on grounding, opening the heart, and reconnecting to natural rhythm rather than pushing or striving. Breath awareness guides each transition, allowing the practice to feel both energizing and calming.
As the body settles, the session gradually transitions into a deeply restful sound journey. Using instruments such as singing bowls, chimes and voice gently wash through the nervous system, supporting relaxation, emotional release, and creative flow. You're invited to rest, receive, and simply be.
This class is ideal if you're seeking:
* A gentle yet uplifting movement practice
* Stress relief and nervous system reset
* A sense of grounding, creativity, and embodied calm
* A mindful experience that blends movement, sound, and presence
No prior yoga or sound healing experience is needed. Come as you are - curious, tired, inspired, or simply in need of a pause.
⨠Move. Feel. Rest. Reset. â¨
Bring your own mat or use one of ours.

â
On February 14th (aka Valentineâs Day), youâre invited into a loving circle of women â a space to soften, open, and let love move through your body and heart.
Weâll begin with **ceremonial cacao**, gently opening the senses and the heart, before dropping into a **conscious connected breathwork journey** that supports deep connection, presence, and inner warmth.
We all long for more love.
But what if you could become your own source?
This journey is an invitation to fill your cup: with gratitude for your heart, your life, and your body. To remember that love doesnât need to be earned or waited for. It can be breathed into, right here, right now.
Breathwork is, for us, one of the most powerful and beautiful tools we know.
It can move emotions, expand awareness, release stored tension, and support deep connection â physical, emotional, and energetic. Every experience is unique, and youâre always invited to listen to your own rhythm and limits.
If youâre unsure whether breathwork is right for you, feel free to reach out, Iâm happy to connect.
Weâll keep the group intentionally small, creating an intimate space where you can fully arrive, feel held, and breathe in love.
**What to expect:**
* Grounding Meditation
* Cacao Ceremony
* Conscious Connected Breathwork Journey

Pilgrimage Hike: Dahlewitz to Blankenfelde (13 km) â The Way of Letting Go
This pilgrimage hike follows the **Baruther Linie regional trail**, leading us from Dahlewitz through heathland and villages to the shores of Rangsdorf Lake. It is a gentle, reflective walk about simplicity, honesty with ourselves, and exploring what we might need less of.
đ
**Date & Time**
* **Date:** Saturday, February 14, 2026
* **Start:** 10:04 AM at Dahlewitz Train Station
*(Travel via RE8 from Berlin Hbf at 9:38 AM â also stops at Potsdamer Platz and SĂźdkreuz)*
* **Duration:** Approx. 4â5 hours
* **End:** Blankenfelde Train Station
*(Frequent return connections via RE8, RB24, or S2 every 5â10 minutes)*
đşď¸ **Route Highlights**

* Walking through the Dahlewitz Heath (Dahlewitzer Heide)
* Time at Rangsdorf Lake with an optional swim at the lakeside beach
* Passing small Brandenburg villages
* Nature reserve Former Lake Blankenfelde
đ¤ **Why This Hike?**
In the week following this hike, Lent and Ramadan begin â two traditions that remind us of the value of conscious restraint and simplicity. This pilgrimage invites reflection on questions such as:
* What does âletting goâ mean for me right now?
* What habits, thoughts, or expectations might I need less of?
* What becomes possible when I create space?
No religious background is required. The walk is open to people of all beliefs and none.
This pilgrimage is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and reflect on lifeâs important questions. Weâll walk at a relaxed pace, share thoughts, and take time for moments of silence â about 30 minutes to an hourâ to listen to nature and our inner voices.
đ **What to know & bring**
* Itâs winter, dress for the season and the weather. Important: hiking or running shoes, warm layered clothing, hat and gloves.
* Bring enough food and water for the whole day, as we wonât stop anywhere to buy snacks or drinks. A thermos with hot tea or coffee is highly recommended!
* Donât forget your public transport ticket for the way there and back.
* There may be an option for a quick winter dip. If youâd like to try it, bring swimwear, a towel and extra clothes to warm up afterwards.
đŠ **Questions & Registration**
If you have questions or need help with planning your trip, feel free to reach out. Youâre also welcome to join our WhatsApp group for updates and connection before the hike.

Humanist Community Celebrating Darwin Day
Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program:
Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there!
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online
