Moody comedy showcase
The Moody Comedy Show is an interactive stand-up experience where the audience sets the tone! Just like in life, we all have different moods—happy, angry, excited, or maybe just “meh”—and comedians are no different. Each performer will embrace their mood on stage, delivering jokes that match their vibe, whether they’re feeling upbeat, frustrated, or existential.
But that’s not all—you get to join in too! Audience members will write down their mood, and we’ll pull from a hat, riffing on your emotions in real-time. It’s a comedy show that evolves with the energy in the room, making every night unique.
This is a pay-at-the-end show, but reservations are recommended. If you arrive without one, entry at the door is €12 (if seats are available). So book ahead, bring your mood—whatever it is—and let’s laugh about it!

2.) 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court.

**1.) How to the find Quartier 205 Stadtmitte:**
[https://goo.gl/maps/6Fhft3LbPhcEsQrdA](https://goo.gl/maps/6Fhft3LbPhcEsQrdA)
The exact meeting spot can be seen in the photo below!
We meet on the 1st floor where the trash sculpture can be seen. Look for a meetup sign or organizer wearing a black or red lanyard with "staff" written on it.
**2.) Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court**
The best part. In order to extend the walk we'll stroll all the way to Brandenburger gate and from there to the former Sony Center where we are going to enter the Kerb foodcourt.
**3\. How to find the Kerb food court**
[https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7)
Kerb is located at the former Sony Center. The new flagship food court of Potsdamer Platz. Most likely we will be sitting upstairs on the first floor next to the bar (take the stairs to the left).
***Best ways to get there:***
1\. U2 \(subway\):
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk around 7 min to Kerb.
2\. Bus M41 or M85
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk 5 min to Kerb.
*Who is this meetup for:*
1\. Internationals who want to practice German or any other language\.
2\. Germans who want to improve their language skills\.
3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\.
*What you can expect:*
1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\.
2\. A Walk & Talk to break the ice\.
3\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\.
*important:* This event is at the same time and meeting location like the "Asian Languages & Culture Exchange 🍜日本語, 한국어, 汉语🍥" one. So I'm basically organizing 2 events at the same time which means that you can expect way more people than on the list.
***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
“A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

The goal of our first meeting is to get to know eachother and practice Italian and German.
Please don’t be afraid that your language skills might not be sufficiently good or that you are a beginner. We understand that learning languages is a difficult and long journey.
We don’t tolerate discrimination. We don't tolerate any aggressive or weird attitude. This has to be a Place of Comfort zone for everyone :) Please be respectful and kind with the others!

Kumustahan #2 (Berlin Edition)
I think it will be sunny again this weekend, if you are free, let us meet at Boxhagener Platz this coming Saturday, April 25, at 1:30-3:30 pm. Organizing a community is not easy to do, maybe this could be one topic of conversation! Taralets!
**Filipino Vocabulary:**
**Kumustahan** refers to a gathering or activity where people greet each other and communicate, often sharing stories and news. It is derived from the Filipino phrase “*Kumusta?"*, which means “How are you?” in English.
**Taralets** is a blend of the Tagalog word “tara (meaning "let's go") and the English phrase "let's go.” Just like saying, "*Los geht’s”* in German!

COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process.
Fast track
• Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell).
• Show up and try it out.
• Complete application, etc. later.
Normal process
• Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/).
• Attend orientation in advance.
• At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility.
• Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM.
• Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014.
Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
