Wellness Wonder: Breezy Yoga @Harbour Front
Wellness Wonder: Breezy Yoga @Harbour Front
**★ This is a paid event ★** In this 1‑hour class, we practice gentle stretching and Hatha yoga with mindful breathing, focusing on basic poses, clear alignment and slow, steady movement. The pace is beginner‑friendly, with options to go deeper if you already have some experience, and the goal is to leave you feeling calmer, lighter and more connected to your body. I didn’t grow up with a sports background, and my body is naturally quite stiff and not very coordinated. That’s exactly why yoga has been so helpful for me. It gave me a gentle way to start moving, and over time it has helped me build flexibility, mobility and strength in a way that feels kind and sustainable. If you feel stiff, out of practice or nervous about joining a class, you’re very welcome here. This session is designed with beginners and “not‑so‑sporty” people in mind. This class is for you if you: ● Are new to yoga or returning after a break ● Want a simple movement routine without a gym or studio membership ● Prefer small, relaxed groups and a supportive atmosphere ● Are local or travelling and want to enjoy the waterfront with mindful exercise **About the instructor – Sophia Chu** Sophia is a 200‑hour certified yoga teacher and practicing landscape architect with experience in hospitality design, giving her a strong eye for space, atmosphere and how nature and cities shape how we feel. She is also a landscape architecture lecturer, used to guiding groups step by step and helping beginners feel at ease. Originally from Taiwan, she has lived abroad for over two decades, teaches fluently in English and Chinese, and welcomes people from all backgrounds. Since 2021 she has run the social Meetup group Wondering Wanderer and leads yoga sessions with FitFam Hong Kong, creating comfortable spaces for people to move, relax and connect. **Class fee: HKD 100** ☆ This helps cover the Meetup platform and the tutor’s preparation and teaching time. ☆ Many studio packages in Hong Kong work out to around HKD 120–200 per class, so this HKD 100 community rate is intentionally kept affordable and flexible. **How to reserve your seat** 1\. RSVP on Meetup 2\. Send payment via Payme or FPS to 9177 1700 and note: “Breezy Yoga \+ date” 3\. You will receive a spot confirmation after payment **Refund / cancellation:** Cancellations made more than 48 hours before class can be refunded or moved to another Breezy Yoga date. Cancellations within 48 hours or no‑shows are non‑refundable, as the spot has been held and planning already done. **What to bring / wear** ● Your own yoga mat ● Small towel (optional) ● Comfortable clothing you can move in Mats for newcomers (first come, first served): ● 1 soft foam mat (very beginner‑friendly) ● 2 thin rubber mat (more grip for those with some experience) ☆ Please message in advance if you need to borrow a mat. **Meeting point** Wood deck by the waterfront in Tamar Park. Please check the photo/map on this event page for the exact spot and arrive about 10 minutes early to settle in. If you have trouble finding us, contact Sophia via Meetup. **Weather & Cancellation** If rain or bad weather is forecast, we may move to a covered area nearby or reschedule. Updates will be posted on this event page 2–3 hours before class. **Memeber's Cancellation / RSVP** Out of respect for the host and other participants, please update your RSVP if you can’t attend. If possible, cancel at least 48 hours before class so your spot can go to someone else and the session can be planned properly. We understand that sudden illness or emergencies can happen – in those cases, just send a quick message when you can. **Disclaimer** By signing up and attending this event, you acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily and are responsible for your own health and safety. This class is not a substitute for medical advice, and you agree to practice within your limits and inform the instructor of any relevant conditions or injuries. The organizer and instructor are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may arise from your participation.

Hungarian Movie Night in Peng Chau
Hungarian Movie Night in Peng Chau
Hi there everybody! We invite you all to come enjoy Peng Chau island to our next movie night on 26th of April. This time we will watch our first Hungarian movie. But it will also be the first animated movie we watch. The movie is called 'Son of the White Mare' (1981) from director Marcell Jankovics: In this dreamlike Hungarian folk myth, a horse goddess gives birth to three powerful brothers who set out into the Underworld to save three princesses from three evil dragons and reclaim their ancestors' lost kingdom. The movie will have English subtitles. If you want to watch a Hungarian movie for the first time come and enjoy! We will start the movie at 7pm till 9pm in a terrace in Peng Chau. There is a ferry at 5:50pm from Central Pier N6 and arrives in Peng Chau at 6:30pm. I can meet people at the pier at 6:30pm. Or if you want to spend the day in Peng Chau and meet each other afterwards that's also fine! Please let me know if you are coming beforehand so we can prepare for us to meet and take you to the address. We want to encourage discussion about the movie and its theme afterwards. We will prepare some questions so we can debate about it together! You can bring your own food too. Also if you have more ideas on how to make our experience more fun, feel free to share it! If you have any question you can message me :) Hope to see you soon! MOVIE TRAILER>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQpIt3WgDHg

In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health
In Person Event: The Secrets to Mental Health
Mental Health, how do you understand it? How can you improve it? How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself. Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went? Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence? Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp. This group is hosted by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
