​This is a relaxed, scenic coastal run perfect for catching some sea breeze! ​We’ll start from Tsuen Wan West MTR Station, running along the lovely Tsuen Wan Promenade. From there, we’ll head along the coast to visit three beautiful beaches in one go: ​Approach Beach (近水灣) ​Ting Kau Beach (汀九灣) ​Hoi Mei Wan (海美灣) ​Our final destination is Lido Beach (麗都灣), offering stunning views of the Tsing Ma Bridge. ​Total distance: around 7 km (Slow and easy pace). The route is mostly flat with beautiful sea views along the way. ​After the Run: Optional Swim! ​Once we arrive at Lido Beach, the reward begins! You are more than welcome to jump into the water for a refreshing swim (completely optional). ​Lido Beach is fully equipped with everything you need to freshen up: ​Swimming platform (浮台) ​Showers & Changing rooms ​Lockers (Please bring your own padlock if you wish to use them) ​What to bring & Reminders: ​​Wear a hat and sunscreen . ​Bring plenty of water ​A light backpack with swimwear, a towel, and a change of clothes is highly recommended. ​Afterwards, you can easily take a bus or minibus back to Tsuen Wan / the city to grab some lunch.

Cancer is still a major health concern, even with all the progress in medicine. In this month's talk, we’ll look at a surprising angle: how nerves around and inside solid tumours may be helping cancer grow and resist treatment. We’ll explain, in simple terms, why nerves are found in tumours, how they interact, and how this interaction can influence how fast the disease progresses and how well treatments work. You don’t need a science background to enjoy this talk, just curiosity about how our body’s own systems can sometimes be hijacked by cancer. Please RSVP so we can plan numbers with the venue.

You will work with a **synthetic Hong Kong-inspired transport dataset**. The data is messy on purpose: missing values, weird outliers, inconsistent categories, URL-encoded station names, confusing delimiters, and fields that look useless until you extract the hidden signal. Your mission is simple: **Clean the data. Extract better features. Run the scorer. Beat the model.** You do not need to tune the model. You need to **rescue the data**. ***How the Challenge Works*** Teams will write a Python data transformation script to clean and enrich the dataset. Our scoring pipeline will then: 1. Run your transformation on the training and test data 2. Remove any label / target leakage columns 3. Train a fixed Gradient Boosting model 4. By popular demand, the group wanted to read and discuss the semi-autobiographical novel by Henri-Pierre Roche, that inspired the Truffaut movie we watched last year. The book is available through the Columbus Library's interlibrary loan system. They reported there are twenty-eight copies available in the state of Ohio. There are also used copies available on Amazon and eBay for under twenty dollars. You may want to rewatch the movie after reading the book, so we can compare and contrast in our discussion.
