We'll walk five minutes from MTR station to the bus terminus to take 9:25 am No. 11 Bus and get off near Lantau South Police Station. In the morning, we'll swim at Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach (see photo album), Tong Fuk Beach and have lunch in Tong Fuk Village. Can Money Buy Happiness? | Mindful Acupressure & Book Club
Can Money Buy Happiness? | Mindful Acupressure & Book Club
What does it really mean to live a happy life? We spend so much of our lives pursuing success, security, relationships, and comfort. Yet even after achieving what we once wanted, many of us still feel stressed, anxious, or somehow incomplete. Why? This Sunday, we'll explore this timeless question together through mindfulness, gentle acupressure, and an open book discussion. We'll begin with a guided Mindful Acupressure (AnDao) experience—a simple Traditional Chinese wellness practice that combines gentle acupressure with mindful awareness to help relax the body and calm the mind. No experience is needed. Then we'll read a short dialogue exploring an intriguing question: Does Buddhism reject happiness—or does it challenge our understanding of happiness? Rather than listening to a lecture, everyone is invited to share their own perspectives and life experiences. Some questions we'll explore together: • What does happiness mean to you? • Can material success bring lasting happiness? • Have you ever felt more pressure while chasing happiness? • Why might the same situation feel completely different depending on our state of mind? • Is happiness something we find—or something we cultivate?Whether you're interested in mindfulness, psychology, philosophy, or simply enjoy thoughtful conversations, you're warmly welcome. 📍 Unit 903, 9/F, Hanley House, 776-778 Nathan Road, Prince Edward, Kowloon 🗓 3-5pm, Sunday, June 28 🎟 Free Admission 🌿RSVP: events.mindfulpeace.org/global-eng-events 👉🏼 Come join us for a restorative and insightful afternoon!

Stalker
Stalker
Based on the novel Roadside Picnic, it is NO picnic, but rather one of the masterpieces of world cinema. Andrei Tarkovsky's 1979 Soviet sci-fi classic, recounts the expedition of a writer and professor led by a mysterious guide called "The Stalker." to a futuristic wasteland called "The Zone." Dripping with existential dread, it continually presents strange occurrences that will have us debating the meaning of what we've just viewed right through the ending. *Stalker* (1979) can be streamed for free on HBOMax, the Criterion Channel or Kanopy. It's also available for rent on Amazon Prime and AppleTV. The Columbus Library has two copies on disc.
