Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine
Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine
Eleanor Oliphant is a smart, warm, and uplifting story of an out-of-the-ordinary heroine whose deadpan weirdness and unconscious wit make for an irresistible journey . . . She struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she’s thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions, where weekends are punctuated by frozen pizza and phone chats with Mummy. Wryly funny, Reminiscent of A Man Called Ove with so much more depth and compassion. Soon a major motion picture. Skip the summary to enjoy the story's jokes, twists & turns.

Dinner at Madhatter (DC)
Dinner at Madhatter (DC)
For the month of June, we'll be back in DC for dinner at Madhatter, an upbeat bar/grill: https://www.madhatterdc.com/lunch-dinner-menu It's just a few minutes from the Dupont Circle stop on the Red Line. If driving, parking is free but challenging. A couple of disclaimers: this is not a "meet market." Many of us desire to become DINKs at some point, while others do not; let's not assume the former for anyone. In the spirit of the overall group, this is inclusive in that regard. But please just come with the intent to have fun and connect with other CFs, not to hook up or partner up. If it happens naturally, awesome. But please don't have that goal in mind. You can bring a guest provided they're single and childfree. If something comes up and you can't make it, please switch your RSVP to "no" by Friday, 5/6/19 at 5 p.m. That said, if you've repeatedly signed up and then switched your RSVP to "no," I reserve the right to move you to the waitlist if we have enough people wanting to go. Reservations are limited to twelve; if anybody wants to make their own reservation so we can have more, let me know, and I'll increase the size.

Puppy Yoga at City of Manassas Community Center
Puppy Yoga at City of Manassas Community Center
Puppies might be one of the best reasons to come to yoga. ![🐶](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t6d/3/16/1f436.png) On June 20, I'll be teaching Puppy Yoga at Play All Day VA in Manassas and the Mr. has informed me multiple times that I am NOT to sneak any puppies into my yoga bag. ![šŸ’”](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t25/3/16/1f494.png) Boo. We'll move, stretch, laugh, get distracted by puppies, and probably spend more time smiling than holding poses. And the best part? The puppies joining us are adoptable and looking for their forever homes. Yoga doesn't always have to be serious. Sometimes it's community. Sometimes it's joy. Sometimes it's a puppy climbing into your lap during yoga. I'd love to see you there! June 20 • 11:00 AM City of Manassas Community Center 8750 Sudley Road, Manassas Come for the yoga. Stay for the puppies. Leave with a full heart. ![šŸ’›](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t53/3/16/1f49b.png)

Hike at Rock Creek Park
We'll try to hike again. Hopefully, the weather cooperates this time. There's a shelter at 2401 Tilden Street we'll meet at. It's a simple out and back, not too steep. If we're up for it, we can grab some food at one of the nearby eateries. By signing up for this hike, you indicate you are responsible for own safety and do not hold the organizer or Meetup responsible for any injuries incurred. You may bring as many guests as you want provided they're single and childfree.
