Burgundy is the most famous, most terroir-specific, and most expensive wine region in the world for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Top wines can cost hundreds of pounds a bottle, but for ordinary wine lovers without a hedge fund to lean on there are sources of delicious, quality wines to be found. 'Affordable' Burgundy does exist! The tasting will start off with 2 bottles of Cremant de Bourgogne, sparkling wine made in the traditional method, Then we'll taste 4 whites and 4 reds from all the main sub-regions of Burgundy - Chablis, Cote D'or, Cote Chalonaise and Macon. An in person writing group for writers of the weird, the wild, the dark and the dismissed. A fun way to compare wines from two different countries at a time. House Wine is squaring off two countries' wines against each other each Thursday in March. March 12, March 19, March 26, and the Finals April 2nd. Meet and Greet format....show up after 7pm, pay your $15 at the cash register, get your wine glass, and enjoy.
