Chaotic Friday Night đ¸ Skinship + Neuro Placid + more...
**TL;DR**
Leave your classical music sensibilities at the door; tonight is a loud, sweat-soaked riot of noisy punk, chaotic mosh pits, and contagious smirks. Expect a collision of nostalgic 80s synth-rock beats, heavy guitar riffs, and sharp, satirical rap-punk.
If you aren't leaving with ringing ears and a massive grin, you weren't doing it right.

**The Lineup**
Tonight is all about the absolutely electric **Skinship** for me. Blending punchy rock with nostalgic 80s synth elements and a twist of Bowie, they command the stage with a massive presence that simply has to be seen to be believed. Their live sets are an absolute blast, making them the definitive way to round off your Friday with some banging tunes.
They pair up perfectly with the chaotic, unapologetic rap-punk energy of South East London anti-hero **Neuro Placid**. Bringing his high-voltage performance to celebrate both a single launch for Nice to Meet Ya and the premiere of his new web series, Bands Go Bird Watching, his sets tackle dark humour and internal battles with sharp wit.
Adding to this stellar lineup, **Sweet Cheeks** brings their brilliantly unique girly pop nu-metal to the mix. With infectious energy and a heavily addictive underground sound, they are guaranteed to keep the crowd moving and the energy high.
Kicking things off is **Claw Machine**, a boundary-pushing Brighton outfit rapidly making waves in the grassroots scene. Their wildly dynamic and innovative live sets make them the perfect opener to get the night started right.
**Why You Should Go**
Come for the blistering live music, highly entertaining stage presence, and the perfect Friday night chaotic energy! With a smirk, witty and very dancey tracks, this is an underground gig you do not want to miss. Also, get an additional free entry to the SXSW London music raffle (https://www.meetup.com/livemusiclondon/events/314966799).

Yoga Nidra DEEP RELAXATION
To book: www.Barefootyogaandtherapy.com
Intro offer ÂŁ39 for one month of unlimitedee classes
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as âyogic sleepâ or âeffortless relaxationâ. Itâs usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) â the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness.
As we rest here, we can turn our attention easily and effortlessly to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. We start to experience the âdeeperâ features of yogic teachings that previously we perhaps considered intangible, such as feeling our interconnected wholeness and becoming aware of our true, unified nature â expansive, inclusive, and deeply restful.

Sapphic screening and social â BULLETPROOF - Lez Meet & Arcana collab
Ticket link here:
https://www.outsavvy.com/event/36369/sapphic-screening-and-social-bulletproof-for-all-queer-women
Come join us at THE ARZNER Cinema for an afternoon dedicated to sapphic culture ! This time we are screening a brand new documentary by Regan Latimer, "Bulletproof : A Lesbian Guide to Surviving The Plot"
Weâll gather from 3pm for drinks at The Arzner's bar before the screening starts (4.00pm), then stay on for some more fun time together, debating on what we have just watched đšđť
Synopsis:
In 'Bulletproof: A Lesbian's Guide to Surviving the Plot,' filmmaker Regan Latimer takes an insightful, immersive and personal look at queer representation on television and media's power to shape how we see ourselves. Witty, fast-paced and laced with pop culture references, Regan journeys across North America and beyond in her quest to understand the forces that influence the stories we see on our screens. Original animation and personal anecdotes are interwoven with wide ranging conversations with television insiders, LGBTQ+ community advocates and people who just love to watch TV. As Latimer navigates an ever-evolving media landscape, the filmmaker learns first hand that representation done well has the power to transform.
About Arcana: Finding films that truly reflect lesbian and queer womenâs lives remains a challenge. They are difficult to produce, to finance, to distribute, to promote, to find, to screen⌠one movie that comes to you has gone a very long way. Stories where we are not marginal, implied, tragic, or killed â but visible, complex, joyful, political, alive. Bringing those images and queer and lesbian representation to the big screen matters.
**Arcana stands loud and strong with our trans brothers and sisters** Any form of hate, discrimination, or transphobia will not be tolerated at any of our events. If you have any concerns or questions about this requirement, please feel free to reach out, and weâll do our best to address them.
Important note: Photos and videos will be taken at our events. Our photographers will be capturing the vibe, and some of these will be posted on our social media. Please come and chat to a host if you would prefer not to appear online.

Queer Spirit Full Moon Circle
Last drum circle of the season! We've met at the Wheatsheaf Hall every month since October, journeying through the huge cosmic shift underway in the skies and in the human spirit - let's make May 30th a celebration of Spring in its full glory and cast our spells for the summer months ahead.
Radical Faeries and Queer Spirits gather in south London at the Full Moon in Sagittarius, a time when the Gemini Sun and Sagittarius Moon bring our attention to the union of the lower and higher mind - our individual and collective consciousness. Through the drum rhythms and trance dancing we unite the body, mind, heart and spirit. As we play, we heal, we feel our interconnectedness, we become whole.
Uranus, the queerest planet of the solar system, has recently completed 8 years in Taurus - a place where his liberating energy meets resistance. The last time Uranus was in Taurus was 1934-42, and just like that period, his Taurean sojourn this time has seen the rise of authoritarian leaders and attacks on LGTBQ+ rights. But now Uranus is free to express himself again in the air energy of Gemini, where he will be until 2032. At the drum circle let's celebrate the liberation of the Uranian spirit. Shokti has studied the parallels between the transits of Uranus and the cause of LGBTQ liberation -with uncanny results that might suggest that, as Plato wrote and Edward Carpenter and other 19th century queers celebrated, we really are the people of Aphrodite Urania - [read more here](https://rainbowmessenger.blog/2025/05/22/uranus-is-the-queerest-planet/)
We gather from 7 to set up the space and greet each other, cast a circle at 8pm then we drum, dance, socialise and play through the evening.
There's lots of drums and percussion to share around, you are welcome to bring your own instruments too, your own refreshments and maybe snacks to share.
Entry suggested ÂŁ5 - ÂŁ10, cash at the venue, or via PayPal [PayPal.Me](https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/shokti)
NOTAFLOF - No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds.

Queer Spirit Circle has been bringing spiritual queers together to make magic since 2005, and at the Wheatsheaf Hall since Winter Solstice 2012. Usually around 50 or more people come along and the rhythms and dancing can get ecstatic. Feel Good Friday: POWER BALLAD at the Gateway Film Center + SHAKE NO. 8!
Join us as we get together to see Paul Rudd in the latest comedy-drama-musical from John Carney, POWER BALLAD! The film follows a washed-up wedding singer, a fading boy band singer and a stolen hit song. Hereâs a description, trailer and plan for this event:

It stars Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Peter McDonald, Marcella Plunkett, Havana Rose Liu and Jack Reynor.
BUZZ & ACCLAIM: The film premiered to rave reviews at this yearâs Dublin International Film Festival where critics call it âa sure-fired crowd-pleaserâ that âjust might be the feel-good hit of the year!â Others say, âPaul Rudd delivers a career-best performance in this charmerâ thatâs both âhilarious and deeply moving."
