Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
Important! Tonight we are playing outdoors in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park in the basketball court. This is located in the south-east corner of the park. Heres'a a map of the exact location: https://what3words.com/motion.gives.social
\-\-\-\-\-
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games.
Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it.
We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different.
Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before.
Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part!
Who knew getting fit could be this fun?
**TO BOOK**:
It's essential that you book onto sessions via our website, using the link below; due to restrictions on games and preparation times we cannot accept walk-ins, or late arrivals.

FULL - Clays: Virtual Clay Shooting | London 20s and 30s
**We don’t do boring Wednesdays and so on 25th February - we're back with another edition of midweek social fun, exclusively for 20s and 30s.**
And for this latest activity night, we'll be visiting one of London’s most unique experiences… **Clays in Canary Wharf.**
And as always - the evening will start with some social drinks at a nearby pub, so you can meet and connect with your fellow 20s and 30s, before heading over for the main event of the night.
And if you’ve never heard of Clays before - it’s an immersive activity bar inspired by the sport of clay pigeon shooting, reimagined into a fun, social experience.
The venue features a number of private booths, each with their own set of realistic “rifles” and tracking technology - designed to simulate a realistic clay shooting experience.
And we'll be enjoying **90 minutes of fast-paced shooting action**, competing against each other in their range of multiplayer games - each designed to test your accuracy, speed and strategy.
Your scores will be tracked over the course of the evening and we will be competing for the glory of being the greatest sharp shooters of the group.
It truly is one of the enjoyable and one of the **best value activity bars in London at just £10pp** \- and so well worth giving a go\, if you've never been before\!
Unfortunately these places are very limited and will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. So if you are keen to join, please do RSVP as soon as you can!

The Quiet-ish ADHD Social | Small Group | Low Battery Laughs & Chat
This is a small-group, quiet-ish meetup for ADHD brains who to connect with their tribe without their nervous system going, 'Aiiight, I'm outta here!'
We’re meeting at **Picturehouse Central** (Piccadilly) because it’s one of those places where you can actually hear yourself think. Mostly. This is more of a tea/coffee and cake kinda venue. Sorry, booze hounds!
**The vibe is**: relaxed, validating, welcoming
It won't be like whispering to each other at the back of the class,
just… less sensory Armageddon.
**What to expect**
A small group (human-scale, not “who are all these people” scale).
A quiet-ish venue where you don’t have to shout your personality into existence.
Conversation that can be normal (well, probably far from normal . There is no need to worry about trying to fit in, no need to mask.
A soft landing. Come late, ease in, do a gentle hello, no one’s timing you.
Low-pressure hanging out. If you want to chat, great. If you want to sit and decompress near other people, also great.
**The unofficial theme**
How to be social without being assaulted by:
fluorescent lighting
overlapping conversations
surprise music
that one table doing a full volume podcast recording next to you.
**Important Note:**
If you cannot make it, please put 'Can't go'. This ensures there's space for others who want to attend
‐------------------------------------------------------
Boundaries (quick, clear, important)
Yay!-DHD is a consent-led space. Some people are chatty, some are quiet, some are pacing themselves. Please don’t push for personal details, contact info, or continued connection if someone isn’t offering it. This isn’t a dating event.

February's second Science Fiction & Fantasy meetup.
Would you enjoy a relaxed evening chatting about distant galaxies, epic quests, and everything in between? If so, we’d love to meet you.
Our next gathering takes place on **Saturday 28th February from 6pm** at **The Mad Hatter**, just by Blackfriars Bridge. Drop in, say hello, and join us for a drink.
We’re a long‑running group that’s been meeting since **1998**—long before meetup sites were wven a thing. Over the years we’ve done it all: celebrity meet‑and‑greets, convention trips, RPG campaigns, cinema outings, LARPs, and plenty more.
These pub nights are all about easygoing conversation and connecting with fellow Sci‑Fi and Fantasy fans. To help break the ice, we’ll be running a light‑hearted team quiz at **8.30pm**.
There’s no fee to attend—just pay for whatever food or drink you order at the venue.

Date/Time: Sunday 1 March 2026, 3 – 8pm (and likely a few hours beyond!)
20% off food and drink for our group
First-timers: please see notes below on the Meetup fee, bringing boards, etc ☺️
Dear Backgammon Lovers,
A big thank you and hug to Lydia and George for covering backgammon for me recently.
Yippee! We now have just over 2,000 Sapphire backgammon social members.
We’re delighted again to announce our next social backgammon gathering in the warmth of the Gest Restaurant in Euston.
For as long as they'll have us, we'll also continue to use the CSC on other dates when available.
Gest has become a favourite spot for our lively and friendly backgammon gatherings, offering us more space and a relaxed atmosphere, with warm and welcoming staff.
Social Backgammon
Whether you’re a seasoned player or completely new, everyone’s welcome. Our Sunday afternoon offers a mix of friendly competition, laughter and the occasional lucky double six. Add alongside this, the food, drinks and easy conversation, and you’ve got the makings of a relaxed afternoon rolling dice into a fun evening.
20% off food and drink
Following intense negotiations, Gest has kindly offered our group 20% off food and drink for this event. Please support the venue by ordering at least a drink and a bite to eat during the session, as this will help us to maintain such a generous deal in a comfortable atmosphere.
About Our Backgammon Group
Our group started in June 2015 and has now run more than 400 official meetups plus over 200 informal gatherings. With just over 2,000 members, we’re the largest backgammon group in the UK, and we're known for our warmth, humour and friendliness. We typically meet fortnightly on Sundays, with around twenty or so regulars along with new players each time.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your level.
Dinner, drinks and playing time
We usually sit down for a relaxed group meal around 6pm, but you’re free to order whenever it suits you. Many people arrive early, stay late, and dip in and out of games between food and drinks.
RSVP
Please RSVP as soon as you can, as it really helps with planning, especially at this popular venue.
Bring your own board
If you have a backgammon board, please bring it. If you don’t, just post a note on the Meetup page or message me and we’ll match you up. It’s always fun to see the variety of boards people bring along.
Meetup fee
£4 per person. This small contribution helps pay Meetup, cover tip, admin, hosting and other organisational costs that keep the group running smoothly.
Etiquette
Let’s keep things friendly and respectful over the board, and please thank the lovely Gest staff for hosting us. If anything crops up during the event, just have a quiet word with me.
Backgammon rules
We play under international backgammon tournament rules, with one or two minor exceptions. Full details are on our Meetup page.
Contact
If you need help finding the venue or have any questions, call or text me on 07956 263451.
Please avoid sending Meetup messages within two hours of start time, as they may not be seen in time.
Looking forward to rolling dice and sharing another brilliant Sunday with you all – and to celebrating the New Year at Gest for the fifth time.
Best wishes,
Chris Sattaur

Comedy Night + Open Mic
**Comedy Night + Open Mic + Freestyle**: We've hired a professional comedian to warm the group up for our open mic session. Members have been making me laugh for years and we've tossed around the idea of a comedy night / open mic. Well, It's time to step up and crack me up.
We'll start with Tristan Shae and a couple of his friends. Tristan is an alternative comic from Columbus, Ohio. A counselor by day, Tristan explores how comedy can improve mental health by telling jokes and stories that muse on how absurd life can be from squeaky clean topics to not so clean ones. Tristan produces the variety show Cheaper Than Therapy, hosts the weekly Problem Child Alt Comedy Open Mic at The Attic, and can be found engaging in all sorts of silliness around the city from stand up shows at The Nest Theater, The Attic, or The Funny Bone, to improv and sketch shows with various groups at various venues such as The Hashtag Comedy Club.
**On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\. See you there\.
**Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby. I am told that the Chase parking lot is safe after hours.
**Glasses**: …will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the EMPTY glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please do not make me hunt down your empty glass. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass!
**Food**: You are welcome to bring a snack to share. It is not required. Most people do though. If no one brings anything, there will be nothing.
**Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, it’s still worth mentioning. We don’t have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions.
**After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still haven’t had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee.
Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends.
Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***,
