**About Me**
Hi! I’m Anastasia. I started our writing club back in May 2025, hosted weekly at the Heinrich Schulz Library (thanks to them, it’s free every Saturday!). With time we have grown and now we also meet on every second Tuesday and Sunday at the cafe. Over time, I’ve been lucky to meet some of the most creative and kind minds in Berlin. Happy to host our second Open Mic and see what all of you have prepared.
This event is an invitation to celebrate your words and the magic that happens when we speak them out loud together.
Looking forward to meeting you all — and hearing your voices.
PS Happy Birthday!

Creative Code Stammtisch
**⭐ DOORS OPEN AT 19:30. PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE 8PM! ⭐**
The Creative Code Stammtisch is a casual show-and-tell for artists, makers, designers, coders, performers, learners and anyone interested in the use of computing skills for artistic expression.
The event is free and open to all, regardless of age, origin, gender or experience. Beginners and first-timers should feel especially welcome! You don't have to be a coder yourself 😃
HOW TO FIND US?
Find Prachtsaal Studio by crossing the courtyard next to Cafe Augusta on Jonasstr. 22, 12053 Berlin.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We start with quick introductions, then open the floor to anyone who wants to present something. There are usually around six 10-minute slots available, plus time for questions from the audience. First-timers are encouraged to share their work.
Topics range from net art to computational design and interactive installations all the way to wearable electronics or generative poetry. If you’re wondering whether your own project might fit, take a look at the [Stammtisch archive](https://creativecodeberlin.github.io/Stammtisch/) to see what others have shared in the past.
This event is *not* just for coders! New-media artists and anyone working with technology in their art are very welcome to share. If you enjoy art and/or technology, you’ll likely have a great time, and maybe even learn something new!
BEGINNERS WELCOME!
If you’re new to creative coding, you can find beginner-friendly resources at [creativecode.berlin/learn](https://creativecode.berlin/learn).
THIS IS YOUR SPACE
We do our best to create a welcoming environment for all people regardless of race, ethnicity, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or genetics. People from group generally underrepresented in open-source, art, and technology fields are warmly encouraged to come by. And if you know someone who might enjoy this meetup but isn’t sure it’s for them, let them know they’ll be welcome!

More than crêpes & wine | A bilingual café evening
***L’Art de Vivre* — A French-inspired invitation to conversation, curiosity, and shared moments.**
What if we take a few ideas from French culture as an invitation to slow down, converse, play, and experience language differently?
This evening is designed like a French café, where conversation matters, disagreement is welcome, curiosity leads, and time is taken to enjoy simple moments together.
But beyond the atmosphere, this is also your chance to experience real-life French.
**English is welcome**, **French is encouraged, and mixing the two is part of the fun.**
You don’t need to speak French to join.
**What To Expect:**
* 🥞 Delicious crêpes
* 🎲 Playful quiz and surprising facts about France & the French people
* 💬 Guided small-group conversations where perspectives meet, shift, and evolve
* 🗣 Light moments to try simple French in a relaxed, supportive way
* 🌍 A bilingual space where you can switch languages, or just enjoy the atmosphere
**Who it’s for:**
* French speakers who want to share their language and connect
* Curious non-French speakers who want to listen, try, or learn
* Anyone who enjoys thoughtful, social, and slightly different gatherings
**Why join:**
Because language is not only learned... it’s lived.
Instead of memorizing rules, you’ll get a first contact with French in a real, human setting through interaction, play, and shared moments.
**A little extra:**
During the evening, I’ll also share how you can go further if you’d like to build real speaking confidence step by step and learn/improve French.
I’m an experienced French teacher, artist and facilitator, and I’ve developed a way of learning that combines structure, interaction, and real-life expression.
**Come as you are. No pressure. No expectations. Curiosity matters more than fluency!**

Sunday Silent Reading at the Bode Museum
Silent Book Club is a group of book lovers who enjoy reading together in public. All books and all readers are welcome.
(Kindly RSVP 'yes' only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and our fellow readers on the waitlist!)
This page-turning party will unfold in the Café (1st floor) at the Bode Museum.
There's no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the cafe and don't bring any outside drinks :)
No quizzes, no pressure, no assigned books - just a group of book-loving souls basking in the beauty of silent reading.
**Our thrilling agenda:**
10:30 am - 11:00 am - Arrivals, ordering drinks/food (social time)
11:00 am - 12:00 pm - The Great Quiet Reading Hour (where silence is the star)
12:00 pm - 13:00 pm - Optional socializing, share your reading adventures or just keep exploring the pages
Stay for lunch, and who knows? You might just find your next favorite book over a pizza.
NB: If you plan to go for lunch, please consider bringing cash, as some restaurants only accept card payments after a certain amount.
Silent Reading Club
Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better!
It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading.
The usual agenda:
- Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes)
- Silent reading (~1 hour)
- Discussion (~30-40 minutes)
- Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like!
You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you!
No registration needed – the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.
Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]
RSVP on Luma: [https://luma.com/ou3ks02q?utm_source=Meetup](https://luma.com/ou3ks02q?utm_source=Meetup)
Silent Reading / Creating Club is a gathering for people who enjoy focusing together in public.
Bring a book, a notebook, a sketchpad, knitting needles, whatever you’d like to spend a quiet hour doing. All projects and all participants are welcome.
This year is about creating more, quietly, consistently, and imperfectly. We're fostering an environment that supports that. If you’re building something of your own, you’re especially welcome here.
We’re building a community of readers and creators who value depth, presence, and shared silence. The magic isn’t just in the quiet hour — it’s in the people who return and make it feel like a familiar room.
(Please RSVP “yes” only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and others on the waitlist.)
This quiet ritual unfolds at **W66 Café**.
There’s no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the café and don’t bring outside drinks 🙂
No assignments, expectations, or pressure. Just a shared hour of intentional silence, followed by the opportunity for good conversation.
🕰 Our Agenda
**10:30 – 11:00**
Arrivals, ordering drinks/food, light social time

• Put cellphones on silent mode
• If using technology, please avoid meetings or audio (headphones please!)
• Arrive before 11:00 if possible to minimize disruptions

I WRITE – A Silent Writing Club (Just You & Your Words)
Welcome to **I WRITE**, a gentle space for anyone who wants to write—quietly, freely, and without judgement.
We are a Berlin community of writers who gather together weekly to write, talk and recharge after a long week. Some of us journal, some write novels, some do academic writing, many people come without a project in mind and see where the inspiration flow takes them. This is a space to simply show up and write, a safe place to be yourself and to release all your layers onto the paper.
There’s no set topic, no feedback circle, and no pressure. Just warm people, a calm atmosphere, and time dedicated to yourself.
🗓️ **Agenda:**
* 14:30 - 15:00 **→** 30 min arriving, optional socialising (arrive early, meet other writers)
* 15:00 - 16:00 **→** 1 hour of silent writing (headphones welcome, focus encouraged)
* 16:00–16:30 **→** 30 mins break + optional chat or solo time (stay and chat or go celebrate the rest of your Saturday)
* 16:30–17:30 → 1 more hour of silent writing (for those staying)
* 17:30–18:00 → 30 mins of chat, and leaving
🎒 **Bring:**
* Something to write with (laptop, notebook, phone, typewriter… anything goes)
* Something to drink (there is no cafeteria, unfortunately)
* Your current project or a blank page
* Yourself, exactly as you are
**👉 Responsibility:**
* Our location is limited; thus, I am kindly asking you to RSVP only if you are willing to attend.
**📍Location:**
* We meet at **Heinrich Schulz Library in Charlottenburg**. In the library, go look for the Gruppenraum; I will be waiting for you there. Any trouble finding the room, I will come to meet you outside.
* 🚇 U7 **Richard-Wagner-Platz**
* 🚌 M45 Bus **U Richard-Wagner-Platz**
**About me:**
Hi, my name is Anastasia. I started this writing club back in May 2025. Since then, it has been hosted weekly at the Heinrich Schulz Library (who is kind enough to allow us to use this room for free). Over this time, I’ve been privileged to meet some of the most creative and kind minds in Berlin. And I would be happy if you joined us. Whether you're an experienced writer or just at the beginning of your journey, you're welcome. If you know how to hold a pen or how to type, there will always be a space for you.
Let's write together!

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
